Just found this deal on Bitdefender India website, using code winter70. You can buy up to 5 years of any licence. Example:

      I can't imagine why someone needs phone tech support for AV today, but I'd say yes, and you can choose support in any country you want.

      They have phone numbers in Australia, India, etc.

      There are many dodgy companies and AVs that are not effective for new threats, which is the main issue nowadays.

      I used to work with different AV/security companies as a hobby, finding viruses, reporting, and helping with detection updates and signatures.

      I'd stick with Bitdefender, F-Secure, Kaspersky (yes, in spite of), but please feel free to choose whatever you want, even none.

        Please… if you were serious about your AV you wouldn’t be on a ozbargain page scamming the av company that your in india to get a discount.

        Besides TrendMicro would be in the top 5 AV’s.

        Only 2 AV's I rate and they are Kaspersky and BitDefender. I run Kaspersky myself as I can get it for a song compared to Bitdefender. Forget about all the bullshit about Kaspersky spying on you do, some research and find out for yourself.

    I just added Total Security 2 years / 5 devices for $27.17
    I used NordVPN India & Wise debit card

    For the order address page I just used a "random india address generator" site, don't know if it even mattered.

    All went through without a hitch, BitDefender accepted the code and added the 2 years on instantly. Thrilled with this, I thought last years 1 yr deal for $36 wouldn't be beaten.

    I'd love to use this as so many people recommend it but man it takes up so much performance on my laptop having this thing running in the background. Thought maybe it was just my laptop but it happened on a few other laptops too. What does bitdefender do in the background besides catching viruses?

      I have it installed on my Laptop and two desktops, in addition to my phone. I can't say I notice any performance issues, but on AV-TEST it seems that BItdefender Total lost 0.5 star in the performance criterion (5.5/6.0) on Windows. It was the first time that it lost such points in recent tests.

      You can try to follow this (old) or this, or talk to support.

      The Total version does a lot of other things apart from scanning for virus. There is an anti-tracker, firewall, antispam, and a few other protection options depending on what you activate. Right now I can see multiple active bd*** processes as I have all options active, but they barely affect CPU usage. "bdservicehost" is the fourth process in terms of memory usage (560MB).

      There is an anecdotal reddit post with a screenshot of a conversation with Bitdefender support. Someone asked about activation of an Indian key and support said it was fine if you were able to buy and activate a licence using VPN.

      Anyway, I have been able to add 2 years on top of my previous! AU licence. No issues (with VPN).

      Only to purchase and to add to your account. After that, you can link devices to your account by logging in, that doesn't require VPN.

    First time posting here.

    Thank you OP for your valuable deal. I was able to activate 3 years for 15 devices following advises. However, I couldn't stack another 2 years on top of it. ended up having another subscription added to my account. sigh.

    Buying instructions:
    1. Install VPN as @NinjaSniper85 mentioned.
    2. Random indian address used and Paid via Wise credit card. Tip: use INR amount instead of suggested AUD amount.
    3. Activated subscription while VPN is active.

    EDIT:
    Had a chat with support team and resolved the issue. They said its a system glitch and contact support again after few days to merge the two subscriptions together.
