Matching this previous deal.

There are free alternatives available, however I've found this to be worth the spend with the customisation it offers.

I have this running on my mobile devices alongside NextDNS with some useful scripts and haven't noticed any negative impact to battery life and load speeds.

  • What are the free alternatives?

    • There are no free alternatives with client apps like this AFAIK.

You can run PiHole or AdGuard Home for free on your router/NAS/Server but you won't get the granular control this AdGuard app in the OP provides.

There's AdAway or Blokada V5 for Android users. Otherwise for private DNS blocking - I've found NextDNS works well.

But the AdGuard app for me is the most convenient.

  • This block youtube ads?

    • +1

It does but it's a bit clunky for that use case. You need to open the video in the Youtube app/site then tap share and share it to the AdGuard app where it will play with no ads.

Recommend looking into Revanced instead for that.

I don't see any ads if I'm watching YouTube videos through the mobile web browser, doesn't block ads in the YT app though.

  • @OP - even though the StackSocial page says only for new users, you can stack these licenses and add them to existing AdGuard accounts.
