Welcome to the ultimate guide of Netflix subscriptions

Updates:

  • 27/06/23 2pm – Turkish Lira have crashed even more, so I've corrected all prices in this guide!
    • Original deal post rates: Basic TL₺63.99 (~A$4.06), Standard TL₺97.99 (~A$6.22), Premium TL₺130.99 (~A$8.31)
  • 07/07/23 2am – Updated FAQ section to include all error codes as a result of the 30-day local restriction lockout.
  • 08/07/23 11pm – Updated Instructions section to include a new sign up method via OlduBil's Turkish Virtual Mastercard (Instructions – Method #2), with screenshots (tested and confirmed). I'll be drafting another set of instructions to separate Method #1 (Part 2) as another sign up method via a Turkey phone number. Stay tuned!

You probably know by now - if I make a guide, best believe it's going to be good and better than the previous one. Please show some love and any comments, concerns, suggestions or feedback are welcome :)

This new guide has now been updated to include:

  • problems related to new subscriber sign-ups to Netflix Turkey. Please read the FAQ section for further clarification.
  • new statistics in regards to pricing
  • screenshots at each necessary step of the sign up process (yes, I unnecessaily spent a chunk of money to test the local region lockout and to obtain screenshots to better guide everyone through the sign up process! I hope this helps - please see Instructions Part 3 for these screenshots)

Note that due to a recent and continuing crash in the Turkish Lira currency, the TRY-AUD is hitting an all time low. All prices in this guide are current as of 27 June 2023.

Netflix Post History Notes
09/06/2023 - This post Netflix Region Lock
28/01/2023 Price Hike
22/10/2022 Price Hike
14/06/2022 Price Hike
01/10/2021

Similar to my last post, I'm resharing this guide after previous deal post expired due to Netflix imposing a lock region lock. Luckily, there are no more price hikes for now, after having the third price hike for Turkey within a 10 month period.

  • Turkey is no longer the cheapest country for a Netflix subscription on all tiers, after they increased prices multiple times (Example: Premium plan from TL₺54.99 to TL₺77.99 to TL₺93.99 to TL₺130.99 in a span of just over a year).
    • However, obtaining a Turkey-based Netflix Gift Card is extremely easy and effortless, making it the easiest and therefore cheapest country to sign up with.
  • Pakistan is the cheapest country for all Netflix plans, however, obtaining a Pakistan-based Netflix Gift Card to sign up is almost impossible, so avoid this path.
  • NEW!! Netflix Argentina is now ARS999 (A$6.10) for the Basic Plan and ARS2,399 (A$14.64) for the Premium Plan (in the last Netflix post, Argentina prices were ARS699 (A$4.27) for the Basic Plan and ARS1,899 (A$11.59) for the Premium Plan - that's a 42.9% and 26.3% increase, respectively). The Argentina Peso has dropped, but plans are still more expensive.

Please note: If you DO NOT have a Turkey number, please sign up via instructions Part 1 and then Part 3. Avoid doing Part 2

There are plenty of previous threads on users commenting their experience. Please read it if you are stuck. See here and here and here and here and here

Instructions – Method #1 (If you want Netflix to charge your Australian debit/credit card each month)

Please read the following instructions carefully.

Part 1 - Ensure you have your Australian mobile number and debit/credit card saved in your account

Complete either steps (a) or (b), depending on your current situation

a. If you currently have an Australian Netflix subscription:

  1. Make sure your Australian mobile number is saved and verified in your account. See this screenshot

  2. Make sure your current or new debit/credit card is saved and verified in your account. If your payment method is PayPal, remove this immediately and replace it will a debit/credit card.

  3. Once you’ve triple checked your mobile is added and verified, simply cancel your subscription and wait until the end of the renewal period (i.e. keep watching until the sub expires. Don’t let your sub go to waste since you’ve already paid for it). Once your subscription has expired, go to Part 2 or Part 3

b. If you DO NOT have a current Australian subscription:

  1. Sign up and subscribe to any Australian Netflix plan (preferably the lowest cost basic plan - don’t worry, you’ll get your money back). Do not use PayPal to sign up, it must be a debit/credit card.

  2. Once you’ve signed up, make sure your Australian mobile number is saved and verified in your account. See this screenshot

  3. Make sure your current or new debit/credit card is saved and verified in your account.

  4. Once you’ve triple checked your mobile is added and verified, go to Netflix Live Chat and tell them you “would like a full refund since you’ve changed your mind” - they usually don’t ask why but if they do make up some random excuse like “my sibling just signed up” or “you don’t want it anymore” etc. This should be a very fast step and take you only several minutes. The account cancellation will be effective immediately and the refund will arrive in a few hours or days

  5. Once your subscription has expired (should be immediate as you’ve cancelled it for a refund through live chat), go to Part 2 or Part 3

Part 2 - Signing up via Netflix Turkey (Direct Method - No Gift Cards - MOST LIKELY TO FAIL - AVOID)

Please ensure your subscription has completely ended/expired before starting Part 2. It has completely ended when you can no longer watch anything and Netflix asks you to resubscribe or restart your membership

  1. With VPN off, log into your Netflix account

  2. Activate a VPN service, turn it on and set it to Turkey (Istanbul is the largest city). There’s many free VPN’s if you don’t have a subscription to one. Here's a few great VPNs that work:

    Nord VPN: https://nordvpn.com/
    Express VPN: https://www.expressvpn.com/
    PureVPN: https://www.purevpn.com/
    Windscribe VPN: https://www.windscribe.com/
    ExpressVPN: https://www.expressvpn.com/

Note: Use chrome browser plugins for these VPNs where possible

Possible Problem: You use Windscribe VPN and set it to Turkey, but it defaults to one of the cities of Turkey that is not Istanbul.
Possible Solution: You want it to land in Istanbul, Turkey, so keep turning off and on the VPN until it lands in Istanbul. Confirm it’s Istanbul by refreshing this page: https://whatismyipaddress.com/

  3. Open Netflix on a new tab and proceed to Netflix to choose your plan:

    https://www.netflix.com/

  4. Proceed by adding your Australian credit/debit card as the backup payment method

Possibly working cards from: 28 Degrees, ANZ Rewards, Citibank Debit, Macquarie

Possible Problem: If it asks for a Turkish mobile number, you will have to find a working one so they can send you verification. AFAIK, there is no way bypassing this and you will need to sign up via Part 3

Part 3 - Signing up via Netflix Turkey (Using Gift Cards if Part 2 Fails) - EASIEST METHOD

Please ensure your subscription has completely ended/expired before signing up to this deal (i.e. when you can no longer watch anything and Netflix asks you to resubscribe or restart your membership)

  1. Purchase a Turkey Netflix Gift Card (any value is fine, even if it's not enough to cover the full month)

Note: Choose a reputable seller and make an account so you have a record of the purchases if anything goes wrong. I recommend Turgame (I've bought Turkey Apple GC's from there and they have fast delivery (at night time AEST), they charge the same price as the gift card value and the payment gateway fee is very low) or g2a

  2. Once you’ve received your gift card, it’s time to redeem your gift card and sign up to Netflix Turkey at the same time. Make sure from Part 1 that you have not logged out. You must stay logged in to your Australian account. If you’ve logged out, please log back in now with VPN turned off (Logging into your Australian account with a VPN on gives an error)

  3. Activate a VPN service, turn it on and set it to Turkey (Istanbul is the largest city). There’s many free VPN’s if you don’t have a subscription to one. Here's a few great VPNs that work:

    Nord VPN: https://nordvpn.com/ (recommended, paid)
    Urban VPN: https://www.urban-vpn.com/ (recommended, free)
    Windscribe VPN: https://www.windscribe.com/ (recommended, free)
    Express VPN: https://www.expressvpn.com/
    PureVPN: https://www.purevpn.com/

Note: Use chrome browser plugins for these VPNs where possible

Possible Problem 1: If you use Windscribe VPN and set it to Turkey, sometimes it defaults to random serves and therefore random cities of Turkey that will give you the wrong pricing (ideally, you want Istanbul). In this case, keep turning off and on the VPN until it switches to a different server/location. Confirm the location by refreshing this page: https://whatismyipaddress.com/. If this fails, change your VPN provider.

  4. With VPN on, open a new tab and go to the following Netflix site to redeem your gift card See this screenshot:

    https://www.netflix.com/tr-en/redeem

Possible Problem: On the plan selection page, the currency is not in Turkish Lira
Possible Solution: The problem is due to your VPN. Double check or change your VPN if needed

Possible Problem: When redeeming the Turkey Netflix Gift Card, it gives an error (code invalid, etc)
Possible Solution: The problem is due to your VPN. Double check or change your VPN if needed. If after several VPNs and this issue still occurs, try to reach out to your place of purchase due to them possibly issuing you an incorrect code

  5. Follow the prompts of the sign up process. This screenshot will show the first page after applying the gift card. Click "Next" to land on this page. Choose the plan you want, then click "Next" to land on the payment page in step 6

  6. Proceed by choosing a backup payment method. Be careful with this step and look at the screenshot!

  • If you did Part 1 instructions correctly then your payment method is already saved within your account - in this case, press "skip this step" at the bottom. On the next page, click "Next" (see screenshot). Now Netflix will want to confirm your details to make sure it is correct as per (this screenshot). Double check, tick the checkbox and start your membership!

  • Otherwise, if for some reason you haven't done Part 1 correctly or your debit/credit card has expired, you will have to add a new debit/credit card (see screenshot). Beward this may prompt you for a Turkey number verification (which I guarantee you don't have otherwise you would have done Part 2) - if this happens, please complete Part 1 again (see fix below)

Possible Problem: After entering your debit/credit card details, it asks for a Turkish mobile number
Possible Solution: Two causes for this. Cause (1): the problem is due to your VPN - Double check or change your VPN if needed, then go back to step 4. Cause (2): This is because you've entered a new debit/credit card. In this case, please click back on your browser and avoid entering a new card by pressing "skip this step" at the bottom. If this option does not appear, please restart Part 1 and ensure you save the card you wish to use as a backup payment.

Possible Problem: My debit/credit cards keep declining, and I'm unable to subscribe
Possible Solution: It's likely the problem is due to your VPN. Double check or change your VPN if needed and restart the whole process. However, if VPN is not the problem, you can continue to subscribe without a backup payment method (i.e. start your subscription with just the Gift Card you bought), and then afterwards you can contact live chat and tell them you need to update your payment method by asking them to send a payment form popup (this will allow you to add a credit/debit card and save it into the account). If the agent refuses or has no idea what you’re trying to say, end the chat and start a new one.

Note: If you bought a gift card that has a higher value than your selected plan, you’ve just used your gift card to pay for the first month, as well as partially for the second month. For the second month, Netflix will deduct the remaining of the gift card, and the remaining balance will come out of the credit/debit card you’ve inputted, and from thereon each month Netflix will keep charging your bank at those rates (be aware many banks like Commonwealth Bank have a small international transaction fee but this is only a few cents extra. Suncorp and Latitude Platinum have no international fees). Besides this, you should be saving >$100 AUD each year at least ($200 saving annually for the premium plan)

  1. You’re done! Turn off your VPN and enjoy your subscription :)

Instructions – Method #2 (If you want Netflix to charge your OlduBil Turkish Virtual Mastercard each month)

Turkey-based Virtual Mastercard Required! If you do not have a Turkey-based Virtual Mastercard, see how to get one here in the instructions section (Part 1 and Part 2). You can use it forever, with many deals to come!

Please ensure your subscription has completely ended/expired before signing up to this deal (i.e. when you can no longer watch anything and Netflix asks you to resubscribe or restart your membership).

  1. Log in to your Australian Netflix account, or sign up for an account. Make sure you log in with VPN turned off (logging into your Australian account with a VPN gives an error).

  2. Activate a VPN service, and set it to Turkey (Istanbul is the largest city). There’s many free VPN’s if you don’t have a subscription to one. Here's a few great VPNs that work:

    Nord VPN: https://nordvpn.com/ (recommended, paid)
    Urban VPN: https://www.urban-vpn.com/ (recommended, free)
    Windscribe VPN: https://www.windscribe.com/ (recommended, free)
    Express VPN: https://www.expressvpn.com/
    PureVPN: https://www.purevpn.com/

Note: Use chrome browser plugins for these VPNs, where possible.

Possible Problem: If you use Windscribe VPN and set it to Turkey, sometimes it defaults to random serves and therefore random cities of Turkey that will give you the wrong pricing (ideally, you want Istanbul). In this case, keep turning off and on the VPN until it switches to a different server/location. Confirm the location by refreshing this page: https://whatismyipaddress.com/. If this fails, change your VPN provider.

  3. With VPN on, refresh the main netflix webpage. Alternatively, go to this link:

    https://www.netflix.com/tr-en/

Possible Problem: On the plan selection page, the currency is not in Turkish Lira
Possible Solution: The problem is due to your VPN. Double check and/or change your VPN if needed

  4. Click on "Restart Membership" and follow the prompts of the sign up process. Click "Next and then select the plan you want. Click "Next"and then click "Credit or debit card". Enter your OlduBil Virtual Mastercard details, full name, tick the T&Cs declaration, and then click "Start Membership".

  5. At this stage you're done. Don’t enter anything on this page. Netflix will ask some random questions (just to set up your account). After that, your account will be complete, and you can enjoy your subscription!

FAQ

Q: I just signed up and when I go to watch something I get the following error: "Your account can't be used in this location"
A: It seems like every new sign-up to Netflix Turkey is subject to a local restriction lockout. This can take anywhere from as little as several days to 30 days. There are many reports from OzBargainers and others reporting this error disappears within 30 days. During this lockout restriction, you can still watch shows and movies, but you must use a Turkey VPN to do so (otherwise the error will pop up). Since this is only temporary, it shouldn't be a problem after 30 days or so, andthis small hassle is well worth the savings.

Q: Will I need to turn VPN on everytime I watch Netflix?
A: No! You no longer need to have VPN on every time you watch a show or movie. VPN is only required for sign up. After sign up, use Netflix without a VPN and you will have access to the Australian Netflix library.

Q: I want to watch a show/move from another region or country. Can I do this?
A: If you want to watch a show or movie that is region locked to another country, you can do so by setting your VPN on your phone, laptop or PC to that country to watch it. Yes, you will need a VPN for this

Q: I got charged a different rate compared to the prices on this post. What happened?
A: Due to foreign exchange rates constantly fluctuating, prices will differ by several cents each month

Q: I have an existing Netflix subscription, can I use the same email?
A: Definitely! See Part A

Q: My bank blocked my payment, what do I do?
A: Some banks block 1st attempt and then text to confirm it's you. Once you reply, 2nd attempt may work. If after several attempts it does not work, just go through the Gift Card method and avoid the pain

Q: How do I update to a new debit/credit card?
A: You can contact live chat and ask them to send a payment form popup (this will allow you to add a credit/debit card and save it into the account). If the agent refuses or has no idea what you’re trying to say, end the chat and start a new one.

Q: Is signing up to Netflix Turkey going to affect my Netflix library/catalogue?
A: After setting up this sub, you may or may not notice the Netflix catalogue may be weird with brand new shows, etc… It might not even change anything, but if it does change, your Netflix catalogue will adjust to what you’re watching and soon it will look like nothing ever happened

Q: GST/VAT and Tax related questions?
A: See here. Don't worry, there really isn't any tax you need to worry about.

just disconnect and reconnect and try another agent. Also giftcards

      • +1

Yeah the agent said use giftcards if I can not get a text message.

    • Try don't use VPN.

    • i need to do this, as wise (profanity) me over and cancelled my card because of some bullshit with the turkey government.

      • I know it increases the cost slightly but a lot to be said for using giftcards

    • +1

@GerrardLFC how did it go? If they refuse to budge, just spend a dollar or more extra and redo Part 1 and Part 3

      • I damaged my card, waiting for 28 degrees to send a new one to try again.

Edit: From part 1, My number was already verified from before so not sure why it is asking to get a text from Turkey mobile.

        • +1

          Received my new card today.

Went back on chat and the agent provided the pop payment screen with no problems and all is updated!

  • I have been using my 28 degrees to pay the Turkey sub. What is the pro and cons by paying using Turkey giftcard and credit card as backup payment?
Pro using gc: locked in current Turkey exchange rate, not locked out if credit card can’t be updated by netflix staff
Cons using gc: fees to purchase the giftcards.
I am still deciding to purchase gift cards or keep paying using my no forex fee credit card.
    Thanks

    • 100% keep using your 28 degrees card, or Aus debit/credit card. Most of us are doing that - no fees

      • once you sign up to the Netflix via turkey subscription does it automatically just come out of your credit card thats setup? or do you need to continue with purchasing giftcards or have a turkish CC attached?
        thanks

        • +1

If no giftcard balance it will use the credit card (aussie one)

      • Great thanks @I Smell Pennies for the input.

  • +2

I followed Part 1 and 3 on the 14th of June.
I was getting error M7111-5095 when trying to access without vpn.
As of 15th of July, the turkey lock has been lifted.
I believe as soon as the credits were consumed, it switched regions (as the 15th was my billing date).
Although I did buy 200 lira voucher, I made sure the second month would use enough to exhaust whatever I had left after the first month (via upgrading plan), meaning I did not have to wait any longer than neccesary.

thank you pennies, you've made my month :)

    • Thanks for reporting back with your full experience, enjoy!

  • +1

A credit on the account doesn't affect the lock

  • +1

Thanks OP, my card just expired and I couldn't update my payment details. The payment popup form worked a treat.

    • No worries, glad it worked a treat, enjoy!

    • Can u direct me to this form? I need to update my cc details once my Netflix unlocks.

      • Have to chat with agent to ask for it.

        • Will do! Commbank have changed their ultimate credit card to 4k spend so i imagine a lot of ppl will require this form.

    • do you have to have vpn on for the chat? or just straight up..hit'em up

      • I chat with them without VPN.

  • +4

Just to update - my account is now region unlocked after 36 days so it can definitely take more than 30 days for an existing account to be region locked. Thank you OP for the post !

    • +1

      Thanks for reporting back, enjoy!

  • +3

Sitting out my region lock at the moment, one week in. Wondering what will happen if we try and use while overseas, will they put another lock on the account do you think? Travelling to Europe in September.

    • +1

when you're unlocked you should be good to go anywhere

  • +2

After 7 years of paying I just swapped my account to Turkey. Boom locked, hopefully it doesn’t last longer than a month! Will report back when it lifts

  • +3

It’s been 28 days and now my account doesn’t need VPN and I can watch all AU content as well as see rating of top AU movies etc. Turkey content gone too.

  • +2

After 1 month since signed up, my region lock has been locked up. no longer than 1 month in my case.

    • 1 month in my case, mobile typo, sorry

  • +3

After an hour of typing CAPTCHAs on Urban and going in and out of Windscribe without luck landing in Turkey, tried out the first search of VPN on chrome extension store and used Hola and used the free turkey netflix connection, finally was able to redeem my gift card.

Time to start the 30 days of lock out, will be back in a month.

    • After an hour of typing CAPTCHAs

      Bot detected.

  • Hi, my region lock lifted after 30 days.
Question, I got standard. If I upgraded to premium would that trigger the region lock again?

  • signed up for one month with giftcard, no backup payment method. am currently region locked out, natch. once my 30days is up and my sub expires, will it re-lock when i renew with another giftcard?

    • +1

Probably not but you can just add another giftcard now. Your balance now will be used at the end of the first month and the new giftcard can just sit there waiting. I currently have 2 giftcards sitting in my account and a balance of 400TL.. good till october 28 I think. My first month was 130.99 and the recharge a few days ago was 69.01. They always charge such that a giftcard partially used will be exhausted before it starts on the next one. I'm likely to keep using giftcards as I prefer that control and a dollar more is fine.

  • Also FWIW, I just got another giftcard from G2A - it seems they get them from Turgame anyway and it seems to be slightly more expensive than Turgame too.

    • How can you tell they coe from Turgame? I prefer direct from Turgame much cheaper

      • it actually says provided by Turgame on the confirmation after you buy it. I was really just curious if it was same pricing. But it only shows the purchase in USD whereas the Turgame shows TL so it's hard to know. anyway I think it ended up being ~ $13.60 after CBA charges 3% and Turgame direct has been a little less but hard to know as the AUD is moving around like a drunken sailor at the moment. My first Turgame card cost more a month ago but the next 2 cost less. Anyway cards from both places work and redeem fine. One difference is the G2A one was delivered instantly on their page whereas a Turgame one I would still be waiting. I'm paid up till 14/12 now on the Premium plan

  • hi everyone, was wondering if anyone could possibly help me out? i purchased a gift card and im getting the invalid error. im using nordvpn and i switched to every possible İstanbul server with no difference. I contacted turgame 24hrs ago and havnt heard anything yet. idk if the issues on my end or have i just gotten really unlucky with the key?
I also installed windscribe just to see if maybe norde was the issue and no result, same invalid key issue. thanks for the guide btw

    • I used nord vpn and didn’t have any issues. I think somewhere in the comments, someone mentioned similar issues to you. Maybe have a search in the comments ?

    • Try Urban VPN, and if that fails try Windscribe.

      thanks for the guide btw

      You're welcome

      • +1

ended up getting a new key and it worked, so it was a rare 1% issue. everything worked fine but my accounts region locked for now. thanks heaps

        • What happened with the old key? @Crisqy feel free to PM me the code if you’re gonna do a writeoff on that key

  • +1

One more data point - VPN free access for Netflix after 28 days. Thanks for the deal!

  • Do I need to turn on VPN to use the PingMe app to get a temporary mobile number?

Asking now in case they wont do the payment form popup.

    • Just push for the popup, it has worked for many

  • Has anyone been able to find a valid Turkish phone number to activate via AU debit card?

    • +1

Why not just follow the guide and use your aussie phone number with Turkish gift card?

      • Yeah honestly

      • +1

Yep ended up doing that, was so much easier no sure why I was persisting on the first option 🤦.

Also my account whet straight to Aussie profile without been locked so winning all around.

Thaanks again @I Smell Pennies you are a legend!

        • Wow you got lucky, thanks for the follow up

  • +1

@I Smell Pennies update: been unlocked after being patient! Thanks again for your comprehensive guide helping out our community!

Qu regarding ongoing payments, will that be directly deducted from the card that was initially saved ? Or will we need to buy turkey gift cards?

    • +1

No worries at all @superjquando appreciate it!

Qu regarding ongoing payments, will that be directly deducted from the card that was initially saved ?

Correct, if you clicked "skip this step" then it should :)

  • i'm stuck at the captcha

  • I'm currently waiting out my region locked period, but i made a top up transfer via oldubil app yesterday afternoon & was greeted with the following notification today:

Dear customer, our global operations cost increased due to high inflation rate in Turkish Lira. In order to continue the service we provide you we had to change our top-up commission to 9.3%

Whilst it's not a huge increase in %, make sure you account for the increase in commission when transferring so you don't fall short.

    • Where did you get that message/notification? In the app once the transfer was completed? So if you dump TL₺2000 they'll take out a 9.3% cut from the TL₺2000?

      • yes, it was in the app as a notification. i transferred 2,153TL from revolution & had 200TL taken as commission once the funds hit oldubil. as i said, it’s not much really, but it has cost me a month & a half of my netflix & microsoft365 subs.

        • +2

Ahhh, well that sucks! I guess over the long term, it still works out to be a huge money saving hack. As much as we all hate fees, the ROI still far outweighs the alternative - paying in AUD. 😊

Checking. Thanks for the Gift Card :))

  • Turgame only purchase with visa no paypal…….is this correct

If you want to use paypal, use G2A instead of Turgame. Turgame only takes CC. There's also 4 processing providers with Turgame - they can have different fees so check the fees on your option before completing the purchase

Thanks OP, seems to have worked for me. No luck with Windscribe or UrbanVPN - they all produced errors upon attempting gift card redemption despite the VPN region being correct. Ended up signing up with ExpressVPN which worked straight away and then cancelled the 30 day trial. Now the region unlock wait begins…

Great thorough write up, however I would suggest updating the body of the post to make the region lock more clearer its easy to miss in its current position. May disappoint people who are expecting immediate access.

    • @WowBargain thank you for your support. I will take into account and make the necessary fixes tonight.

Region unlocked on 22th July. Signed up on 23rd June. Thanks @I Smell Pennies and fellow ozbgners for the feedback.

  • Hi guys, Hope some one can help me doing this in a correct way. Currently I use only gift card to watch Netflix on Australian account. As of today, I have used up all of the amount in the gift card and my Netflix has stopped. I am getting an error like Add your payment method.
I have purchased a Turkey Netflix gift card unable to redeem successfully using Nord VPN. Is this because I don't currently have a payment method ? If I add a new credit/debit card details, Netflix AU will deduct the money. Not sure how to get around this issue.
Hope some one can help me with the correct steps to follow. Thanks in advance :)

    • Save the gift card, and redo everything from Part 1 to Part 3 (skip Part 2)

      • Thank you

Is there any reason why you cannot change your preferred payment from credit card back to paypal after ??

  • I already have a saved credit card in the account but it no longer work due to hack. I am waiting for my new credit card to arrive but my billing is on the 26th July.

If my new card don't arrive in time what option do I have? Any idea?

    • use a giftcard

      • Yeah probably last resort.

Just say If I left it lapse for a few days after 26th July and don't mind without Netflix for a few days. I wonder is it possible to add the new credit card and then continue the sub? or will I be for region lock for a month?

        • I suspect/muse/speculate if you're already in Turkey and done your month pennance it won't lock you again

  • Have they region locked netflix as it seems with vpn i cant watch on the app

    • Try a different VPN

      • Meant without vpn i can't watch netflix

@CodeXD: Felt too much to read, i renew netflix via gift card every so often to catch up on shows.
Apparently there is a region lock now for the first 28 days.
Unsure if it will be every 28 days everytime i renew my account.

However, I read it after posting my comment as I thought was the January post and maybe it was something new that just started

Yes I had a region lock that lasted 28 days and I had to use a VPN during that time. Just got lifted today.

  • I just signed up today and getting the region lockout message. I got a Telstra Smart modem gen 2 and it doesn't have VPN setting. Is there any other way I can use VPN service to watch Netflix on tv?
