          • @offthetap: Hmm interesting, been more than a day and still no sign of my standard points. Transaction shows 'processed' so it's not pending. Waiting game now I guess.

  • Any idea what the minimum income requirement would be for this card?

    • $35,000 for a platinum card usually.

  • Thanks OP. Applied on 31st May (Wed night) and got approved today. Was able to add my card to google pay before my actual card arrived.

  • Tried to do a balance transfer from my Citibank card but keep getting errors saying Enter a Valid Card Number. Wtf?

  • I guess they like sharing our data with others….

We've partnered with Verifier to simplify income verification for your online application. • Has anyone used or trust these automatic online verification. Sounds very unsafe handing out my username and password

Westpac does the same thing and they use MOGO

Applied with this link but at the last stage of the application it says the annual fee is $195

    • +2

what's what was shown to me but when you get approved and receive approval email, it will say $95 for the first year. Below is from approval email.

      Annual Fee
Annual fee of $95.00 charged for the first twelve months after you accept this agreement. Annual fee of $195.00 debited on the expiration of the first twelve calendar months and then annually in the same month thereafter.

  • Doesn't continue further when I cluck ' continue to apply' after 'You may be eligible for bonus points'. What am I missing?

    • Applied today without problems.
      Did you continue to try

    • when I cluck

Are you sure you’re clucking ? If you identify as a chicken seeking a credit card I respect that!

  • Better to hold off on spending $1k until we receive the email about linking velocity? Otherwise we won’t get any NAB reward points either or will that still come through ?

    • email is just a guide on how to turn on auto redemption. You can turn on auto redemption before receiving the email.

  • +1

Lmao NAB approved my card and then immediately slapped a hold on it for "fraud". Now have to wait 4-6 weeks while they verify the same documents again. Any thoughts of keeping the card after points have accrued have gone out the window.

    • +1

      Same thing happened to me!

  • Has anyone had issues trying to turn on auto redemption? When I go cards -> redeem points it auto directs to NAB rewards not being signed in, sign in again, and it happens all over again. Tried through the app and 2 different browsers.

    • +1

yep doesnt work, i cant sign into nab rewards. goes in an endless loop

I applied for this on the 1st of June. Haven't gotten an approval or rejection. Just that "your application number is xxxx". No emails, no communication - nothing. Pretty appalling.

    • I applied on the second and was approved yesterday via sms and email. I didn't have to submit any payslips or anything and my pay doesn't go to a NAB account.

      • I just called them, and they have no record of my application. I even have an application number that was given to me at the end of the process, and they claim that there's no such reference on their end. I clearly must be taking crazy pills.

I've been asked to apply again as there's no record of my application - but I'm wondering if they're already done a credit check the first time around? I don't want to have another "applied for credit" within a week on my credit report. They claim there's no such check been done, but now I don't know who to trust.

        • You can check on creditsavvy if there any any enquiries… mine for NAB has already showed up today for check on 4th Jun

          • @Moo Deng: Thanks, I checked but it says my next score update will be on the 12 of June, so not sure.

    For those waiting for approval.
Today is the third working day since after getting conditional approval.
This morning my application was approved.

    • +1

      For additional data -

31 May (~7pm AEST) I applied and was conditionally approved pending a request of payslips and proof of closure document from my last credit card. I uploaded my payslips and closure document that same evening.

2 June (~1pm AEST) Received an SMS notifying me that my application was being assessed and I might receive a call from a NAB staffer to answer questions. Got a call and the staffer asked me for some additional documents as I had recently reduced a credit limit on another card and the updated limit wasn't reflecting on my credit profile as yet. Also wanted more proof that my previous card was closed as the letter only stated that I had requested a closure but didn't show that I had zero-ed the balance and completed my obligations. Sent them a $0 statement for the closed card and an email from the bank confirming I have reduced my credit limit that afternoon.

6 June (~10am AEST) Received an SMS stating my card is approved. Showed up in my NAB app a couple of minutes later and I was able to load straight into GPay.

Still waiting on postage of the card to Metro Brisbane. I have had some cards take upwards of 2 weeks to arrive, hopefully NAB are faster than that.

If I didn't have the stuff around with insufficient proof of closure and the decreased credit limit not showing up I'd imagine it would have been approved on 2 June when it was being reviewed.

8 June (~9am AEST) Received an SMS stating my card has been posted. Will update again when it arrives.

        • +1

9 June - Card arrived to metro Brisbane in a "Postage Paid Australia Priority" pre-printed envelope.

        • +1

Received SMS today also. Interesting to see who gets theirs first. 😀

    • Did online chat and they are saying I have a different deal even though I was conditionally approved on the 4th.

From what I can see is that you have a NAB rewards platinum credit card where the offer is 60,000 bonus points when you spend $1,000 on everyday purchases in the first 60 days of account opening and 20,000 bonus points when you keep your card for 12 months.

Chatting with them now to see if it can be corrected to what I was signing up for.

      • +1

Guy in chat said to call for assistance between 8am and 8pm and ask for the Credit Card Loyalty team.
Called and the person taking my call said there isn't a way to know what program I've been given until the card arrives physically and is activated as the card and the reward system are two separate entities. 😕
I also asked "Do I have to spend the qualifying amount ($1000) to find out and he said "No you don't have to do that, it's just that we can't check anything until you have the physical card and you activate it"

        • +1

Received card. Confirmed sign up deal by calling the loyalty team again.

  • +3

I noticed you can add to Apple Wallet once you get the SMS that your card has been posted out.

    • I don't seem to have that option. I only have an Activate option, but I need the physical card to do it. Maybe because I'm a new NAB customer?

      • +2

This is probably the reason why. I have seen similar issues when I was a new customer at other banks.

Now I just keep a transaction account open with most banks so that I can always activate as soon as I'm approved and also to be eligible for any existing customer discounts/extra bonus point offers.

        • +1

          Good advice. Cheers.

  • has anyone got their velocity points yet? i met the spend 10+ days ago, see the nab rewards points balance in the nab app of 121,000 points, have been charged the annual fee of $95 and was told the points would auto transfer to velocity yesterday but has not happened, i also cannot login to the nab rewards store from within the app,

    • My points auto transfer every Monday. I'm not sure if that's standard or not though. I used my points on $650 worth of ultimate him gift cards.

      • so you already got your velocity points bonus for this card?

        • I didn't let them transfer I just used them on the nab rewards site.

          • @Josh013: so you signed up to the bonus 60,000 Velocity points (auto convert from 120,000 NAB rewards) offer, and NAB let you use the rewards points to purchase Ultimate Gift? Nice, i think i will do the same.

I wonder what NAB can do if you've used the rewards points before the conversion?

            • @gkh84: Yeah, the order is still processing so here's hoping it works.

              • @Josh013: Let us know how it goes. Would much rather have $600 gift card than $300 gift card through Velocity.

                Cheers

      • I did the same thing lol. Saw my 120K NAB randomly after logging in, redeemed $650 of ultimate home gift cards (which were 10% off in points during that day). My order is also still in progress after a week!

        • +1

Mine took awhile but now they've been sent.

  • +1

Got my bonus points today, spend met on the 12th I think.

    • Have you received the 1st statement yet?

      • no

  • Can you ask for pro-rata on the annual fee?

  • Wow that is quick, got the points already.

  • I signed up on 31st may and have already made purchases over $1000.
But i received 60000 bonus nab rewar points intstead of 120000 .

    Did someone else faced this?

    • You sure it's not 60000 velocity points?

  • Spent up to $1000 on Friday, how long does it usually take to get the bonus points?

    • Met the $1000 spend criteria on 8th June and got the points on 13th June, so fairly fast.

  • I was looking through the T&C's of this card for 'What transactions don't earn Points?':

clause(a): cash advances (which include bills paid over the counter at a bank, financial institution or post office, and the purchase of travellers cheques)

Would I be eligible for points if I paid these bills online and not over the counter at a bank? or would this still count as a cash advance?

  • This offer seems to be the standard on NAB website now? https://www.nab.com.au/personal/credit-cards/nab-rewards-car…

    • Yup! I thought I must have been imagining it as I couldn't find it later. Decided to delete my comment above but you're right!

    • NAB Rewards points as opposed to Velocity points

  • Anyone had to wait a little longer for their bonus points? Met the spend over a week ago and still can't see my bonus nab points. Called the loyalty team and said it can take up to 90 days but couldn't even confirm if she could see if I was correctly enrolled in the 120,000 nab pointshacks deal

    • already got the points and closed the card, it took a few days after meeting the spend requirement.

      • me too, I also didn't get charged an annual fee.

        • How did you not get charged annual fee? Seems to be automatic on the first day it is activated?

          • @Moo Deng: I'm not sure, but it wasn't on my statement.

  • Would paying fines to govt count towards minimum spend?
