    Has anyone (existing customer of amaysim) received a 25% off for the second renewal like how CatchMobile has been offering to their existing customer annually?

      In mid-2020 I signed on for a 6-month Amaysim offer at 50% off, then CR on top of that, and before it expired I got an offer for 50% off for a renewal. Was locked down and I could not be bothered hunting around, so I re-upped for $75 for 6 months

    • I would say once in a year. Align your timies around this year by using other cheep 6 months sim offers.

  • Cashback tracking with PayPal? I remember last year there were issues and people mentioned to pay by card directly instead.

      Pretty sure that won't matter. From memory when you activate you can enter any number to port.

      • I am already an Amasim customer, read in comments that I can enter my existing number to get this plan. I made a mistake of entering one digit incorrectly. Chat is not helpful either and don't think they are keen on issuing a refund.

    • Amaysim is offering 5G on its $55 monthly plan but it has not moved on the lower offers yet.
      Last time I had Amaysim it was pretty fast on 4G, consistently 150-180mbps download.

        • Yep, Optus seems to cop of bit of stick for its reception problems but in my neighbourhood, and even moving around, no such problems. I must be lucky

        I have like 100gb data left on my current plan and i miss out if i port out as it can be rolled over to next year.

          but I dont use that much data anyways, so just ported out to Boost
          will join as new customer later this week

    Just ported out from amaysim because I have a free kogan voucher and start pack. Tried to buy the 100 deal but said my number is still in the data base. Will try again tomorrow.

    Just ported out successfully from amaysim to Kogan free esim. Only took 2 mins to complete even at 9:30pm.
    Will try to order amaysim tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

      You can use your existing login to buy a new number. I ordered multiple new numbers using the same login.
      The term and condition says eligible customers who place order online and not to be used with existing amaysim number.

    Does anyone know if I can return Coles Mobile Sim I bought from Coles a few weeks ago unopened for a refund so I can buy this? Any experience with getting a refund with Coles Mobile sim pack?

      From my experience, you cannot return it.

        Online on Coles Mobile site said I can call or contact them if I buy the wrong sim or recharge. I guess could ask and see.

    Hi all, I just renewed my one 15 mins ago. The agent I chatted with was excellent. He offered me the discount right away and said would love to reward existing customer. $100 for a year prepaid plan. Happy customer.

      That is good to hear. I am a current customer, however with people who have ported out mentioning that their number is still in their system and not able to purchase, I was hesitant to try porting out for a day so I could get this. I take it that cashback will be forfeited and my plan does not end till 31st Dec but still think this is worth it.

  • Ported out to Kogan yesterday and try to pruchase again this morning failed. Then use live chat, the agent helped to delete something in my account. Purchase again abd failed, then I refresh the page. Somehow successfully purchased the $100 plan, cash reward capatured the deal as well.

    So port out and port in definitly works.

  • Hi All, just finished online chat. Very happy with the agent. My plan with Amaysim is finishing in another month, asked the agent if possible to match the promo, got offered 25%, then asked if possible to get 50%, he checked and offered that to me. But my plan expires in another month, so asked again if possible to renew at that time with the discount, he checked with manager again, simply added $60 credit to my account, which is great.
    Just forgot to check if it will use the credit first directly when auto renew or I have to do it manually. Anyone knows anything about it?

      • I'm using the $120, 60g plan, so it essentially is half price with the credit.

    • It will give the credit back to you first then upon renew it use the credit + any amount left on card.

      • thanks for sharing. I did have a chat with CS as well and finally I got 50% off for renew as well(I had a chat yesterday and was refused to match $100 Black Friday deal for renew). They didn't give me credits and said it will charge me $100 when renew. My renew in Dec, so hope it will work.

    Also how's the reception? I know it uses Optus but a couple of people mentioned bad reception from Coles' (also Optus)

    • With all the networks, it all depends.
      I have had good reception with all three, either at home (180m from a mast) or on the move. Cannot really say whether one is better than the other, and the tech keeps changing. I am more than happy to sign on with Amaysim for the next year.
      Yet some OzBers swear they have had bad experiences with all three telcos.
      Best thing to do IMO is to check your location and see what Optus has on offer.

    Thanks TA, ported a spare number I had sitting on Vodafone to the $60 plan, got $10.50 back. I'd been an Amay customer before but it all went through swimmingly.

  • Does this SIM have 5G capability? And would Optus be better or worse than Telstra?

    If only staying within Sydney metro? I don't go outside Sydney metro areas much.

    I'm using Aldi Mobile right now, and it only has 3G and 4G.

    Ported out from Amaysim 10 minutes ago to Kogan. No problems ordering an Amaysim $60 12 month plan with the same number after that. Cashback has tracked. Not as good as last year ($30 after cashback) but $49.50 after cashback is still pretty great for 12 months.

    Guys i need some advice. I am looking to purchase the $100 12 month SIM however when I go to purchase it already wants my existing number and provider along with the rest of my details. I'm not looking to port my number straight away as I will wait till next month just before the required date.

    Why is it asking me for all my details now?

    • So long as you’re ordering a physical sim it will not activate until you’ve both received the sim and then gone through the activation process. Can’t comment regarding esim, I’ve got no experience with them.

        Ok cool, so I paid for the SIM and CR tracked. It send came up with ID verification, I'm guessing I ignore this part until I'm ready to port over in a couple weeks?

        • Yeah, I just do it during the porting process.

  • I ported my Kogan eSim over to a new Amaysim eSim - was up in running in about 10 minutes using the Amaysim app. Then delete the Kogan dead Sim from the iPhone once done.

  • can i port from coles mobile to amaysim given both use optus network?

    • YMMV what I've generally found is as follows:

      Amaysim to Optus (direct no virtual provider): Normal - as if I was porting outside of Optus.
      Optus to Amaysim: Slow as hell, took 23 hours.

      Not sure why.

    Are you meant to receive an email or some sort of order number once an order has been placed? My debit card has the $100 pending charge but haven't received any other communication. Is this normal?

    • Yes it's normal. I received mine next morning last time i bought amaysim.
