  • How much extra for data roaming?

      Kogan Mobile International Roaming Packs

Likely cheaper to get local sim for 7 days +

      • Wouldn’t you need both in case local e-sim fails? So just pay for like $10 for 1gb as a backup so your holiday isn’t ruined lol

        • If your local e-sim fails you’re buying the wrong one

        • any decent app doesn't fail to often, plus your never too far away from a prepaid sim while overseas.

I'd switch in a flash if International calls weren't $5pm extra.

Black Friday, couple of weeks ago was
    140GB $109
    300GB $159
    500GB $189

    • I'm hoping that these prices are back for Boxing Day or New Year. The only reason I did not buy the 140GB for $109 on Black Friday is because my current Catch Connect plan doesn't expire until end of Feb 2025.

      • Apparently this is their boxing day sale price, so I doubt it's going to change.

        • Hopefully they offer it cheaper for New Years then. Worst case, my Catch Connect plan is $120 to recharge so that's my backup plan if a better deal doesn't come around in the next few weeks.

      • Kogan vouchers usually expire one month after purchasing. Gotta be super careful with anything Kogan.

Tried Kogan Mobile for a bit, and Vodafone network was fine if you are mostly in metro areas. If you're doing any regional travel, it's a PITA. I regular had no coverage so switched to Boost and having a way better experience now on 6 year old Mi 9T pro.

    • +1

      Boost is full Telstra (wholesale)
      Aldi etc are not (retail)

      • Don't get your point. I'm comparing Vodafone network to Telstra.

Sorry, FYI for the yungins who don't know.

Vodafone and Optus are sharing networks as of early 2025. Coverage is going to dramatically increased.

      • That's great news. Saw the announcement a while back but won't be switching until it's released properly

      • With voadfone sometimes i cant send text messages or only emergency calls come up

Never had that problem with boost.

Would the network share between voda and optus fix this problem?

        • Boost uses Telstra. Vodafone and Optus sharing still wont give you Telstra's amount of coverage but it sure comes much closer.

    • Hi, I've got my Mi 9T pro and Mi 11T Pro. but couldn't use Boost after 3G network shutdown. Can yours work on Boost?

      • Mi 9T pro works fine on Boost network. There's no more 3G so I wouldn't be expecting 3G. For what it's worth I have a custom ROM (evolution X) so it might be imitating a Pixel.

      • Did you enable VolTE via keypad? Mine didn't work and had to manually do it and it worked.

    • 100% agree. I won't go back on the Vodafone network again, unless of course the service improves. Terrible service regionally, which gives you no sense of confidence if things go wrong on the road. Better to pay a bit more elsewhere.

  • Damn!! I literally bought the 500GB plan a week ago!

    • Message them, they might help you out

  • Does anyone know if they impose a limit on Upload speed?

  • Cant work out if the large has access to 5g any one know?
Also hows the latency/speed compared to boost ?

    • +1

None of these prepaid long expiry packs have access to 5G afaik

      • Thanks. No 5g no deal from me.

          • @TheFreaK: Thanks for helping anyhow. Dont know why others would downvote you for stating facts 🤔
