As requested in the 4GB/64GB tablet deal I've been able to get a record low price on the 6GB/128GB version of the popular Lenovo Tab P11. An excellent choice if you're looking for a good Android tablet on a budget. As usual the 4GB/128GB version of this tablet with the precision pen is $449 at JB Hi-Fi, so this deal is a really good price.

Featuring Android 10 (Android 11 via OTA), 11" 2K 2000x1200 IPS 400nits display, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage (expandable), Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 CPU with Adreno 610 GPU, Widevine L1 DRM for Amazon/Netflix HD, 7700mAh battery with QC 3.0 fast charging, 4 speakers with Dolby Atmos, 8MP front camera, 13MP rear camera, WiFi 5, BT 5.1, GPS, Pogo Pins for keyboard case, USB-C and PC mode.

For reviews I recommend checking out ETA Prime as it shows general usage, video playback, gaming and emulation. Just note that the reviews are on the 4GB RAM variant so the performance isn't as good as the 6GB RAM variant.

  • What’s these tablets like to use? Every time I get these cheaper tablets, they suck

    • +3

What are the other cheaper tablets?

    • +5

These are more in the mid-range category, the experience really isn't that different to the flagship devices just a bit lower on the specs.

Nothing like the $50 landfiller iPluds and Krundles you get from BigW etc.

      • How does it compare to an iPad Air 2?

        • +1

          About treefiddy.

Never owned or used an iPad so I can't help you there sorry.

    • Ive been using one of these daily for 6+ months now and I am very happy with it. It is snappy and responsive, and does everything I want, except for hardware support of X265 (meaning I can't watch everything on my nas without transcoding). But for web browsing, Netflix, Youtube, As a remote display for Camera shoots etc, it works flawlessly.

My phone is a Poco F3 with an SD870 and despite only having a 660, the P11 doesn't feel that much less responsive.

    • Agree on the cheaper tablet. I got one off Banggood, couldn't move it on quick enough. Laggy and the screen was a mega magnet for prints.

      I got this one https://www.giztop.com/lenovo-xiaoxin-pad-pro-2021.html

If ppl are looking for a great tablet with decent CPU, this is hard to beat. Screen is gorgeous.

I've got mine on the chinese ROM, all the apps run fine. The keyboard is also highly useful.

      • +1

I can attest to this. Great tablet, gorgeous screen and fast processor

        • Interested to hear if you have had any networking anomolies? I'm still questioning if some hidden routing is going back to china. I've tried looking into it with tracerouting etc.

Using PIA though seems to sort out some of the things around Play store.

Thanks OP bought one. Any advice on the case? Was looking at this one:

  • +2

Thanks so much! I made the request so really appreciate you making it happen! Getting 1 now

  • Wow, that’s a good deal

  • +1

Been looking for a tablet with mid-size storage and at least 6GB RAM for a while. This is probably one of the top 3 options out there and to get it <$300 definitely worth it.
Although my order with 5MAY17 was $268.57

    Cheers OP.

  • +1

Any deals on Lenovo yoga tab 13?

    • +1 a 13 inch would be great after using my 12 incher in bed, I feel something a little bigger wouldn't hurt

If the s8 tab ultra goes down a little, I'll be getting that on a plan.

    • +2

Nothing on AliExpress as the GST is more than the discounts. I will speak to Banggood about getting a repeat of this Yoga 13"

      • The last deal was good, I would also be interested if the P12 Pro was around that price as 13" is a bit too big for me.

      • Clear, awesome deal. I've got the lower spec one already, and want this, but want the stylus and kbd bundle this time as it's impossible to find in AU. Can you swing this bundle?

  • $262 for me, still a great buy 👍

  • +3

    Thanks, ordered.
Shows on my credit card app as AU$ 254.11.
Tip - dont let AliExpress or PayPal do the AU currency conversion for you, pay in USD and let your credit card (hopefully one that doesn't charge exchange fees) do the conversion.

Now I need to try find a protective case to child-proof it… these?

Did you use ugly in your key word search or is it just a coincidence?

      • that second one is a doozy

      • Just a coincidence - I sorted from cheapest price.
The 2nd one is designed with toddlers/children in mind.

  • $262.28 for me. Thanks OP!

Now any good deal for a case+keyboard? also interesting in the pen.

    • +1

JBHIFI in Bourke St Melbourne had the Lenovo Precision Pen 2 for $39 (down from $79.99) - don’t know about any other stores, I couldn’t find it online.

  • Anyone know how warranty works with these guys? I assume you’d have to post overseas.

    • +9

every time I buy from AliExpress I'm assuming no warranty hahaha

  • Bam it! Just ordered the 4GB/64B yesterday, and this one is better. Dies anyone knows if I can cancelled it, first time using AliExpress and how to do it.

    • Can usually message the seller I think. Should give you the option under your orders.

      • Hi Clear,

Thanks for the reply, I just messaged them, but seems no one around. Will wait and see. I saw that there is an option to cancel order under PayPal.

        • Yeah it's a Sunday. They'll reply tomorrow I'm sure.

  • +7

Just bought AUD$254.14, here is how:
    1. Choose USD in ALIEXPRESS app
    2. Collect coupon from seller (only 1)
    3. Use 5MAY17 code
    4. When checking out with PayPal, choose to pay in USD currency.

    • +3

Yep that's how you do it with overseas purchases. If your card in PayPal has no currency conversion fees then it's even better.

    • thanks for the guide - do you know whether cashrewards still tracks and accepts the transaction if its in USD?? cheers

      • Yep CR will track the equivalent AUD amount..

        • thanks - great deal here btw

  • Certainly makes the $450 S6 Lite look bad!!

  • Any chance of a Tab P11 Plus deal? Last time they were around ~A$295 back in March.

    • +5

The usual sellers have raised their prices a lot or have dodgy ROMs last time I checked. I'll see what I can do.

      • Okay….understood and thanks a bunch!

      • Thanks Clear. Was also considering this vs P11 plus. I had actually ordered a P11 Plus with the snapdragon 750g for around $300 but the seller cancelled. So was considering this P11 vs holding out for a P11 plus deal. Thoughts on worth the upgrade / holding out? Cheers

        • +2

I'll see what I can do for the P11 Pro. 730G so not a big difference.

          • @Clear: Thanks Clear , appreciate it

            • @NapKingZzz: This plus cashback is a really good deal for the P11 Pro. As for the P11 Plus the lowest I can get is around the same and that's $50 more than previous deals.

      • or have dodgy ROMs last time I checked

What's the best way to avoid this short of not buying off AE?

  • Thanks got one.. if it's good I may buy another next time a deal pops up

  • Any idea how long this deal is good for?

    • +1

Coupons are valid until the end of the month but they do have a total usage limit. That is often reached within a week or two.

  • Bought !

Is there a need to flash a global rom or anything?/ If yes how ?

  • CR tracked about $12, winning! Thanks again OP. Hopefully delivery won't take too long

  • +1

Thanks Clear, glad I delayed purchasing the 4gb model from yesterday's deal

Was looking around for the folio case and best I could find was at Amazon for $25.38

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Lenovo-Folio-case-Tab-P11/dp/B08WH…

  • Got one, thanks! $254.14 with ING debit card.
Hopefully it's a little faster than the regular snail mail from China. Usually the more expensive electronics arrive faster, right?

  • +1

Thanks OP, just got one. AUD 255 with my Visa Wise card via Paypal. I've been waiting for a midrange like that…

  • +1

Fantastic, now I'm looking for a stylus pen deal!

    • Stylus for Lenovo Tab P11, Flex 5/14, Yoga 7i/9i, Hp Envy x360/Pavilion x360/Spectre x360, Digital Pen with 4096 Pressure Sensitivity, Palm Rejection, Super Long-Lasting

      https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08LQPKD3T/

This looks alright… $83.08 for Grey

  • this or blackview 11?

    • +2

      This. CPU/GPU is better.

  • Reckon we'll ever get the Plus model with the SD750G for around ~300 AUD give or take any time soon?

    • Nope. A single seller had it cheap and not anymore. They're all about $350.

      • Bugger - hope he comes back with it!

  • Can you recommend a 8" tablet?

    • There is the new Legion Y700 (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/691762). Seemed to be $50-100 cheaper when I first saw it but looks like interest as reviews have come out has driven the price up

I'm hanging out for a good deal

      • At the time of posting all the other sellers were $100 more so I don't think we'll see it low for a long time.

        • I know :( will keep on watching until you have a new deal!

I just saw today's Pad Pro deal but really prefer the smaller tablet form factor that the Y700 has

  • With the 4G one posted yesterday I was getting free shipping, but with this one I only have one option of $34 to New Zealand

    • You can message the seller and they may be able to change it.

  • What's the warranty and return policy with these sellers Clear?

    • Buying from China so you'd be expecting little to no warranty. AliExpress will help within the buyer protection period and after that it's up to the seller. PayPal does offer Refunded Returns that must be activated.

  • Any tablets that can do 1080P or 2K or 4K Netflix, Disney Plus, Stan, Binge, Prime or Youtube?

Preferably lighter is better aiming for under 300 grams and under 8 inches but whatever is closest works also.

Btw thanks Clear for your recent posts you been killing it and helping out the community immensely.

    Thank you.

    • Under 10" is a no go for Android tablets currently.

      • Yeah it seems to be the age of the eleven to twelve incher tablet atm.

Maybe hopefully the next one will be the age of the seven to eight incher tablet.

  • Hey OP, I've waited for more than a year to finally pull the trigger on a tablet, and your flurry of deals finally pushed me over the edge. I've grabbed this for $256.77 with Paypal against an ING Visa, and the tab's now marked as shipped. Awesome deal, thanks OP!

  • I've just pulled the trigger on this too: great deal. Spent a couple of days wondering whether I should get the P11 Pro, but this will do the trick for reading and annotating documents and some light media use.

  • +1

Got the P11 Pro (not 2021 edition) a couple days ago from an old post of yours…

and it is AMAZING. Especially for the price. OLED screen, amazing build quality, all day battery life, plays 4k HEVC movies from VLC / torrents perfectly, solid sound quality…. no complaints at all!

  • Is anyone able to confirm if this tablet can do 4k Netflix or 4k Disney Plus or even 4k YouTube?

    • Nope. The display doesn't even go to 4K.

      • I know but sometimes it still tries to do it and the quality difference is noticeable.

For example my ZTE Nubia Red Magic 6s Pro with a 1080 x 2400 6.8 inch screen technically shouldn't be able to do 4k yet it can on YouTube and MX Player (or any media player) as I regularly select and run 2160p content and higher.

        https://www.gsmarena.com/zte_nubia_red_magic_6s_pro-11083.ph…

The difference in quality is very noticeable on a lot of content.

        Higher detail, stats and everything.

  • The 6GB is gone? :(

    • +1

Yep looks to be sold out sadly.

  • received today, any suggestions on a screen protector??

    • Yours arrived quickly! Mine is still in Singapore I think.

  • Arrived today. Looks like someone played footy with the box in the Changi mail center for a few weeks, got bored then decide to send it onward.

    • Mine arrived late last week, sitting loose (but in factory box) in a much bigger box. No packing material, but it is fine. Strange and risky way to ship.

I've added a magnetic charge cable to it, a great accessory if you have devices with different connectors, and it protects the device connector.

I also ordered a rotating fake leather folding case … it arrived 2 weeks ago, gives good all around protection, something to hold, but the rotating is just useless bulk as the widescreen shape is too tall to stand in portrait mode.

And I ordered a gel back-only case. It hasn't arrived yet. I look forward to testing it.

      • Mind to share share link to gel back case?

Also any recommendations on glass screen protector?

        • +1

I ordered this one (P11 TB-J606F). It hasn't arrived, so I can't comment on quality, fit, etc. When I ordered it (1st May), postage was free.

          I haven't looked into a screen protector.

  • It arrived yesterday. Really snappy, very good battery life. A little too much bloatware, but that is life… you can always uninstall most of the unimportant things. Screen quality is good enough, a bit below in brightness than I was expecting. Country definition trick posted works as a charm (do that before everything as it erases whatever you have configured and start over) and Netflix updated itself but kept playing HD.

All in all a very good purchase. Thanks again Clear. Got a folio case just to protect it, but will wait on original keyboard cases bargains.

  • Still havent got mine and there is no tracking update.

    • Any one on the same boat as me? Still haven't received and no tracking updates. First time with Ali Express and it wont let me open a dispute. Should I open a PayPal dispute instead? Thanks

      • Mine took about a month to arrive, much of that time with no tracking updates. I read somewhere that covid was causing significant delays in Singapore. That was in May

        • Ordered 20 May, got it 9 June- so 21 days and I got tracking updates throughout

  • Working well as a Zwift display. Plugged USB ANT+ stick in for HRM and so far its doing a great job without all the laptop clutter.

  • Is it just me? Or this deal is back again? Only this time there's no code required?

    • +1

Prices are ex GST and it's only added at checkout so it's not back sadly.
