Edit: Now cheaper here

Back on sale is the 4GB/64GB version of the popular Lenovo Tab P11. Unfortunately it does cost a little bit more than last time but still a good deal if you're after one. As a quick price comparison you can get the 4GB/128GB with the precision pen for $449 at JB Hi-Fi, so you're getting a good deal here.

Featuring Android 10 (Android 11 via OTA), 11" 2K 2000x1200 IPS 400nits display, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage (expandable), Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 CPU with Adreno 610 GPU, Widevine L1 DRM for Amazon/Netflix HD, 7700mAh battery with QC 3.0 fast charging, 4 speakers with Dolby Atmos, 8MP front camera, 13MP rear camera, WiFi 5, BT 5.1, GPS, Pogo Pins for keyboard case, USB-C and PC mode.

For reviews I recommend checking out ETA Prime as it shows general usage, video playback, gaming and emulation.

Thanks. Chrome's done an autocomplete on the URL field for some stupid reason lol. Linked an old deal.

  • How's 4gb for usage these days?

    • +1

Still holds up. You wouldn't want to go any lower.

    • Used to be the bees knees, but these days I wouldn't touch anything new with under 6gb.

    • +1

      Depends on your usage really.

General browsing; a bit of YouTube; ebooks; navigation; all perfectly adequate.

  • Fingerprint sensor?

    • Sadly not.

I bought the Lenovo P11 and an Aldocube kPad from the OP's previous post and got into the Samsung Galaxy A8 Optus deal. Lenovo P11 has been the best buy for me so far, the screen is amazing and works flawlessly. I'd prefer this over the Galaxy Tab A8.

I'd like to thank the OP for his research on deals here for tablets.

The kPad however has mic issues, doesn't capture sound so when making calls other side won't hear or have to use noice cancelling headphones with highest volume to understand anything.

If you get the DRM or Play store issues of apps being missing this post from the previous deal fixed everything for me:

    • I couldn't get my country code to stick, it keeps going back to unknown…. tried AU and tried KR…

What did you set it to? [I still remember the ####6030# code from all the times I entered it last night!]

      • Actually changed it to UK as I wanted to check something, everything worked ok and I left it like that.

I do have official ROM on my one, which updates OTA, some units ship with various dodgy roms if that matters.

        • I get OTAs on mine and bought on one of Clear's last deals ;) Maybe I'll give UK a try…. no need for Netflix though so hmmm

          • @MadoxNet: My one came from the Banggood deal earlier in the year.

  • Price shows as $241 for me… Any suggestions?

    • Do you have a card without currency conversion fees added to PayPal? If so make the currency USD on AliExpress, then at PayPal checkout where you select your card it'll say "See currency options" and you select to bill in USD.

Otherwise setting AliExpress to AUD or letting PayPal do the conversion will give you an inflated rate.

      • Thanks.

  • I have one of these. They are a great bit of gear. However, comes with Netflix preinstalled. The version won't work as out of date and when trying to update on play store says that the app is incompatible with your device. You can't delete the app. I personally don't use Netflix so I am not concerned.

People got really toxic when I mentioned the workaround in my previous deals. Need to manually install Netflix on top. Either the apk from Netflix or apkpure

      • Hello, do you mind posting/sending me the download link (I know I can google myself, but just want to avoid downloading the wrong stuff)? Thanks for your post, I bought this tablet and have been really impressed with it.

      • I did the fix I linked above, then latest Netflix installed ok from play store and it just worked. Didn’t have to bother downloading elsewhere.

      • Thank you

    • +6

You don't need to install anything 3rd party to get the Native Netflix app running.

Just need to change the country code on the device. Worked for me instantly. Tried the side loading prior to that and didn't like the thought of it.

Note: Updating the country code will factory reset the device.

What country code did you select… Australia?

        • I selected Australia and it works

    Is there 6gb RAM version?

    • Keen

      Yeah I'll get something.

    Waiting on a Y700 deal.

  • @Clear Thanks for the post! Any upcoming deals on the Tab P11 Pro 2021?

  • How is this compared to the Samsung a8 that came free with Optus? I got that Samsung and it still feels like it’s a bit laggy compared to my 6 year old iPad.

    • +2

Yeah you'll need to debloat all they Samsung preinstalled crap.

      • Thats true, but I feel its actually the processor on that, its single threaded performance is slower(almost half) than the 6 year old A9 ipad and the GPU is quite weak as well. I just checked some benchies and this P11 CPU/GPU is slightly slower than the samsung.

      • How do you debloat them? Thanks

        • google "github android debloat"

  • Is it worth paying the extra $80 and getting the 6/128 gig model????

  • -3

is this good for porn? asking for a friend

  • Does this come with a pen?
Also what's the warning about K11?

    • No pen. Store says the K11 is different packaging.

  • Anyone used one of these as a wall mounted HomeAssistant dashboard? Wondering how it compares to a Amazon Fire HD10

    • CPU is 10% slower. Less ram….

  • +1

Anybody knows where to get a good case? Preferably one that has the stand

  • Are Lenovo going to sort the widevine issues so you can watch YouTube and Netflix above 1080p??

  • +1

I haz, this is a good tablet… unless you're using it for art. It ONLY accepts 1 stylus type, and it tends to not track diagonals smoothly, creating a "wobble"
Finding the keyboard case is an absolute PITA, and when you DO find it, its 1/2 the price of the tablet.
Best case is still lenovo's in-house.
