fyi - for those using amex for points. In news to me, others might have picked up on this earlier, 7-11 now accept amex.

My amex card was accepted at 7-11 yesterday. I had been using a visa or mastercard for the past several years as amex was not previously accepted.
I accidentally tapped the amex card as the wallet was open to that from a previous purchase, and expecting a decline I was pleasantly surprised the transaction request was approved.

    • +9

711 been accepting amex for years….

      • Not the stores I was going to.

    • 7-11 now accept amex.

I only use AMEX at 7/11 and never had a problem.

      • +1

Why don’t you use AMEX at other stores?

        • Because I get more points with VISA

Two chopper accounts have now got G09 error when I try to log in (apparently it means the account has been disabled).

Just notice this in the latest release note:

"General updates to reduce fraudulent activity."

Watch out guys, dont install the latest version.

    • If previous experience continues then you will be forced to update eventually.

    • I wasn't able to price lock after the update.

Rooted phone but previously able to lock after magisk fixes

Edit: false alarm, still had a price lock but the UI said it didn't. Showed up after a reinstall

  • +1

Just sharing… Since I found my account locked about a month ago, I've made a new account for new locks.

This time, I've locked in a price right before I've filled up….no more than 10 or 15 mins after locking. The last thing I wanted was to rock up only to find I couldn't use it so I did it just before leaving the house. Some locks have been interstate.

So far… My account is still active and hasnt been locked / banned (yet). Not sure if the way I'm locking it has anything to do with it or if I've just been lucky. time will tell… But just thought I'd share in case anyone wants to try it too

(lock via ipad with ifakelocation, redeem on android. Same devices as the accounts that originally got locked)

    • I do interstate locks and often wait 6 to 7 days. Have done this recently too. Still never been banned.

    • +1

I reckon locking and redeeming immediately will get you banned eventually. The question is how long can you do it for?

      Keep us updated please.

      • I reckon locking and redeeming immediately will get you banned eventually.

Why? Isn't that the whole point of the app?

        • Nah I think the point of the app is to beat the price cycle. Lock in at your local store before the price rises and use it a few days later after the price has gone up. Using it immediately after locking in a local store price, why not just pay the pump price? The app was designed without choppers in mind of course.

          • @sween64:

Using it immediately after locking in a local store price, why not just pay the pump price?

Because it checks the 5 nearest stores for you to get the best local price.

  • Is the app in maintenance? Cannot login

    • I logged in fine just then.

    • I'm logged in, but can't retrieve offers currently

      • I can see offers but can’t “Find My Best Local Price”

        • mines like that too now…

          'Oops no connection!'

          • @jv: Seems to be working again.

  • Hi all,

Getting the error "No Local Price Available".

I just finished the preferred setup by dontpanic (Android Studio (+macOS/Linux/Windows)) and ran into this issue after setting my location with GPS Setter. Tried with a variety of locations.

any help would be much appreciated

    • Try check where your device gps is pointing to (go to Google maps) and ensure it's reflecting the spoofed gps location, outside of the 7/11 app

    • In case anyone stumbles across this with the same issue, rocketrocket had the solution under the original guide. Changing the permissions for GPS Setter to 7-Eleven instead of System Framework makes it work.

      • @Just1nceMore Legenddd, that worked for me :)

  • My account got G09'd tonight…

What's everyone else doing after their account is banned? Just making a new one?

    • +2

Yep. I did a device ID refresh and then made new accounts.

    • +1

What's everyone else doing after their account is banned?

I just use the 8 cents off at Coles Express. It works out cheaper and the coffee is better.

    • I just created a new account. No special changing of device ID or anything

Been couple months so far so good

  • Finally got around to restoring my device. The 7-11 app no longer displays the uuid etc that’s being sent to 7-11. But I think mine has changed

After device reset, I still can’t log into any accounts on my device, but I can log into the same accounts on a different device, no issues. Anyone have any ideas? Do I have to set up as a new device or is a restore ok (iOS)

  • Most recent update now prevents taking screenshots.

I used to screenshot the $ saved for reference.

    • ios or android?
i updated one of my iphones to the latest version of the app. i get that pop-up when screenshotting the barcode (and only the barcode) but their pop-up isn't quick enough (lol)

      • +1

Android, it's OS level so security policy prevents screenshots (eg couldn't use smart capture with my SPen either).

Haven't tried with my iPhone yet

        • +3

ugh. sneaky bastards. just tried on one of my androids which unfortunately self-updated and i can't take a screenshot of the barcode either because it "contains personal information." can't wait until there's a bypass of this.

edit: so i tried doing a screen recording. predictably, the recording where the barcode is visible makes the entire screen go black, but once i close the barcode window, there's a brief flash where the barcode is visible. it's just a matter of scrolling through the resulting video, stopping at the frame right where the barcode shows up and screenshotting that.

    • +2

Can you just use a barcode generator? It’s one barcode per account. Stocard is a handy app.

    • Well that makes sense tried to screencap on how much i got away with and it would not work

  • @dontpanic: The latest version of the 7-11 app (2.17.14) seems to prevent logging in/registering from within a virtual device - it just generates an "Invalid Token ID" error.

This was following the Android Studio, Pixel 4/API-33 defaults in the instructions.

Reverting the app to 2.17.12 allowed the login/registration to succeed.

    • +2

      What's new
General updates to reduce fraudulent activity.

Was bound to happen eventually - if I have time, I can look to see if there's a workaround. Welcome anyone else's feedback though - I'm no Android expert, I just compiled a bunch of existing methods into a guide that works for us.

Hmmm… I can't seem to replicate your issue. I'm still logging in and locking in just fine on mine. Anyone else having trouble?

Reverting the app to 2.17.12 allowed the login/registration to succeed.

If they are clamping down, this is unlikely to be a long term solution. They'll force an update eventually.

      • The old Nox method is also not working properly now, with moving computers :(

        Android emulator ofcourse doesnt work.
OMG no 711 hacks for me in future :(

        • Can you elaborate? My existing accounts still work, so I'm not seeing what you're seeing. Is this happening on newly created devices/accounts?

          • @dontpanic: Like in past we could copy and paste the installation files of NOX (like all NOX files, in User, appData, program files etc.) to a new computer and it would work there on new device -BUT NOT ANYMORE

            • @USER DC: Use Android Studio instead. Much easier to duplicate and transfer virtual devices. I'm not using or supporting Nox anymore.

        • Android emulator ofcourse doesnt work.

Android Studio still works. I just tested it with a fresh install and a new 7-Eleven account. Ditch Nox and use the guide linked at the top of this page.

All this talk of screenshots tempted me to try. No luck on current Android version, but my iPhone running the latest version can still take a screenshot. However after it does, the app pops a message saying 'taking a screenshot can result in a permanent account deactivation' or something along those lines.

Hope I didn't just jinx my account!

    • +3

If you're that concerned about your data being in the hands of a private company, just sign up with fake details.

When you have 5 accounts running, most likely in violation of the T&Cs, you can't really take the moral high ground on this.

        • Check some of the suggestions here on refreshing the device ID.

        • +5

Well then, why don't you try calling them up, explain that your 5 accounts are no longer working after using them to spoof you location, and explain the morality of it all to them when you kindly ask them to delete your personal data?

Or, you can just do what the rest of us do and use fake details to register and create a new profile if you get banned.

I've even created a nice simple guide to help you along your way. You'll find it stickied at the top of the page. I've also made plenty of support posts which will help you to get back up and running if you do find yourself banned (hint: spoof a new device id). So spare me the lecturing.

            • +1

@UniqueGuy: Buddy, I was telling you not to take the moral high ground because I know we don't have a leg to stand on here. I never proclaimed to have the moral high ground. And for someone so concerned about personal data being in the hands of a private company, the most idiotic thing possible is to draw more attention to activities you've been engaging in against their T&C's. But hey, you do you.

                • +1

@UniqueGuy: And your other 4 accounts?

                    • +2

@UniqueGuy: you're the one who blew into this thread to whinge about something that's been happening to other members for several months like you've been living under a rock and now you accuse one of the most helpful members here of trolling because we haven't joined your pity party?

don't embarass yourself any further. and don't flatter yourself thinking you're 711's top customer cos you bought a few things in their store. lol the entitlement.

                        • +2

                          @UniqueGuy: sensitive much?
if you'd bothered to read even just the most recent 5 pages of this thread, you'd know you're not the only one getting accounts banned.

you're not going to get much help with that rubbish attitude of yours, calling anyone who doesn't agree with your warped sense of entitlement a "troll"

have fun negging this comment too, sweetie.

  • After a few years, my account finally got the dreaded G09 login error. I guess time to create a new account.

  • Sorry for the silly question. Does it still run on Mac OS? Trying to open it on Ventura 13.01 and nothing happens.

    • yes, no issues here with Ventura 13.4.

      • @Ryk - Thanks for confirming.

I had to reinstall it, ever since then. When I launch the program it just crashes straight away.

I can’t seem to figure out what’s gone wrong.

        • have you re-installed the .NET 6.0 Runtime ?

  • +1

After transacting then de-linking VFF straight away, will we still earn the Velocity points?
Trying to salvage my VFF linkage however.

  • There appears to be a version 2.17.15 that's been released. Is this still anti-screenshot like 2.17.14?

  • Finally got the GO9. Was using one account only on my device using 3utools.

For those using android studio emulator route, have you managed to use multiple accounts on the emulator, or is it still advised to use only one account?

    • It's advisable to just use one account per decide ID. So either set up a new device for a new account, or duplicate your existing device and spoof a new device id (there are apps to do this). I suppose you could also keep it all on one device and just spoof a device id whenever you change accounts (but you'd need to keep track of your device IDs to make sure you correctly spoof the one linked to each account).

      • Thanks for the reply. The only thing is with the android studio approach, I'm doing that on my PC then using that on my actual phone. So I suppose that breaks your rule…

        • I think that's fine. I would imagine many households use it that way - one family member would lock a price in and another would redeem it. I think the issue is more when you have one single device ID being used to lock in prices for multiple accounts, rather than multiple device IDs logging in to one family account. Who knows though. At the end of the day, just use burner accounts and be prepared to set up new ones every now and then. It's no biggie.

          • @dontpanic: That was my assumption, which is why I was surprised my previous account got banned as it was two device IDs logging into a single account.

          • @dontpanic: Interestingly I logged into an old account I hadn't used for awhile on an android device I rooted over the weekend, and once I used the voucher the next day the account was banned. Any thoughts? Should I just create a new account or should I try and create a new device ID first with a burner email?

            • +1

@dinglejerry: Try creating a new account. If that fails, then do a new device ID. Burner accounts and burner emails always.

              • @dontpanic: That is what I'm doing mate. It seems however they are banning fast now - even with a new id and new email, it gets banned quick. Even if I haven't used the voucher. Any thoughts?

                • @dinglejerry: Try using a VPN? Maybe they're banning your IP?

                  • @dontpanic: Yeah, possibly. Will look into it.

                  • @dontpanic: My experience now is I can set up a burner account, use it once for a fuel lock, then it gets banned. This is even if I for example tether to my phone rather than use wi-fi (to change IP address).

                    • @dinglejerry: Try changing the phone.

                      • @jv: I'm changing the deviceID Jeff, that's largely the same thing.

                        • @dinglejerry:

                          I'm changing the deviceID

Obviously that does not seem to be working.

They are still detecting it is the same device.

                          • @jv: So maybe buy a new phone everytime they ban an account? yeah, nah. The current approach works, just means I need to setup a new account after using the voucher.

                            • @dinglejerry:

So maybe buy a new phone everytime they ban an account?

I always have a few old iphones lying around….

                              Never had an account banned.

I have 1 account per phone, using 2 phones.

                              • @jv: OK - still a mystery but other people are having issues too - I have an iphone (my main phone), a spare android phone and an ipad mini 5 (which i was using previously, but think they have flagged that device ID and I haven't looked into changing my device ID on that device, as I assume it would mean factory reset which would be a pain aye).

                                • @dinglejerry: If you are creating a new account with a new email and using a different IP address, the only thing that can flag to them you are banned is if they detect it is the same device. There's no other explanation that I can think of.

                                  • @jv: So how do they do that if it's not the device ID? And if that's the case I wonder why they wait till I use it, than the time I lock in. Obviously we are speaking in hypotheticals and we don't know anything for sure.

                                    • @dinglejerry:

So how do they do that if it's not the device ID?

No idea, but they must have worked out a way to do it…

                                • @dinglejerry: If you are doing it via your iPhone, have you tried doing it using your spare Android instead? Perhaps iPhone can't disguise the device ID fully? You might have better luck doing it with a rooted Android phone…

I wish I could offer better insight, but I don't use an iPhone and I've never had a banned account.

                                  • @dontpanic: I've been locking in two 7/11 accounts on an iphone5s for 2 years. Located in Melbourne and lock in the cheapest price nationally. I then log on using my Samsung phone when filling up and so far so good.

                                  • @dontpanic: I'm doing it via my spare android mate. All good, for now I am just using burners and re-creating accounts as required.

                                    • @dinglejerry:

for now I am just using burners

For now, it's cheaper to use Shell Express with the 8 cents or more discount..

                                    • @dinglejerry: What app are you using to spoof device ids?

                                      • @dontpanic: Sorry for the late reply, I’m travelling overseas at the moment.

I’m using device ID changer by silver lab

Thank you so much @dontpanic. - Full credits to you
I man finally for once managed to install the Android Studio method - A working one this time.

Some of my tips for that android studio method are

For windows 11 (may be 10 too),

You can open the rootAVD-master folder (this needs to be extracted out the instructions assume you know that, right clicking in folder is a lot easier than putting cd C:\ … etc. ) in windows explorer, and then right click and then right click to Terminal > Command prompt, then insert the 3 lines of code When your Pixel 4 emulator is switched on. - Yes it is 3 lines of code only NOTHING more than that in CMD

    rootAVD.bat %LOCALAPPDATA%\Android\Sdk\system-images\android-33\google_apis_playstore\x86_64\ramdisk.img
    set PATH=%LOCALAPPDATA%\Android\Sdk\platform-tools;%PATH%
    rootAVD.bat %LOCALAPPDATA%\Android\Sdk\system-images\android-33\google_apis_playstore\x86_64\ramdisk.img

for the Pixel 4 device that the instructions suggested using.

Also to help those who still have troubles you need to download

    • Android studios (install with Pixel 4 Tiramasu - API level 33)
    • rootAVD-master.zip (extract .zip file and then run CMD/terminal on it)
    • LSPosed-v1.8.6 zygisk-release.zip (send to emulator and install with magisk modules)
    • GpsSetter.apk (Mock location) - Other location spoofing app do not work
    • HideMockLocation.apk (spoofs location hindering)
    • My Eleven7.apk (to get fuel lock)

Lastly the spoofing only works if you have LSposed enabled, and you go in app (simply from notification panel), and enable 2 modules, (2 apks mentioned above) FOR My Eleven7 app only.

    • +1

Thanks for the tips! I don't use Windows much these days, so not to familiar with the shortcuts…

I think everything else should be covered in my guide, the only thing that seems to be different is thay LSposed has moved its manager to the notification shade (but you can still install it manually as per the guide).

      • Thanks again, with the LSposed installation ( i mean to still follow the guide for installation of LSposed module) BUT to enable LSposed module (hide and mock location from 711, app we need to access the LSposed app environment itself. (This environment does not show in apps, or home screen or anywhere else, and only really in notification panel)

        • Hmmm… I will take a look at that for the next iteration of the guide - some things have clearly changed since I last wrote it.
