This thread serves to let everyone know how much you have saved on your 7/11 fuel app. Please see the archived thread (January 2017 - January 2022) for previous discussions.

Step 1: Subscribe to this thread to get email updates. You can change your subscription settings in your Ozbargain account to enable more/less email updates.

Step 2: Upon filling up simply fill in the details in this format:

  • NAME OF 7/11 STORE
  • PETROL TYPE
  • PETROL PRICE

Example:

              @akay0402: For "not available" error make sure you pressed "play" button in GPS Setter - sometimes have to move the pin a little randomly from Refinery.fyi-supplied one. I wonder if 7-11 started tracking & rejecting exact coord matches based on the refinery.fyi data…

                  @akay0402: Did you try cold boot after everything is set up? To do that, shut down the emulator, click on … next to the emulator in the list of devices and select "Cold boot"

                    @smartialarts: Just to clarify, this is the process that works for me:

                    1. Start emulator, set location in GPS setter
                    2. For shits and goggles see if price lock works in 7-11 app, but it is likely not going to
                    3. Quit emulator not saving state
                    4. Click … select cold boot
                    5. Open 7-11 app, lock should work

    not sure why but upgrading to Android Studio Ladybug (2024.2.1 Patch 2) has caused my virtual chopper to reset to default with no user data.
    Set up new VMs, but getting A01 on them (I've made two VMs now).

      Managed to get it working with Shamiko and 7-eleven on the denylist.
      The system image was updated, that's why my device was reset - I managed to restore an old copy of the VM and the system image to get it working again.

        What broke, did they put a new 711 app update that blocked your method? Did you update to iOS 18 and it stopped your location spoof app working?

          I didn't change a thing on the phone so I'm guessing they have figured out vpn ip's. Same state (without vpn) still works.

    I've been using ios and GeoPort for a couple of months now now issues. I've been locking in a mixture of same state and interstate, the latter by using a vpn on the ios device to the state I want to lock in, searching for the fuel and disconnecting from GeoPort before locking it. It has been 100% flawless until today. Tried to do my usual method and getting A01 error on interstate. Same state is fine.
    Anyone else getting this? Any insights?

          Hm I haven’t been able to get WA locks working with Nord. I assumed 7-11 were blocking the VPN IP.

            @sween64: Seems highly plausible. I tried Shellharbour lock with NSW Nord server and no go there too. Might try a free trial on another vpn and see what results I get.

    Geoport failing to launch on my windows pc

    Hmmm… can't reach this page
    localhost refused to connect.

    any ideas on what the problem is?

          Just drive within 5km to the cheapest in your state

          Check if the Windows firewall is blocking Geoport. Also check if the browser isn't blocking it or using a proxy or somesuch.

              @jv: Go to Chrome/Edge browser and type the following statement into the address bar:

              Edge:

              edge://net-internals/#hsts

              Chrome:

              chrome://net-internals/#hsts

              Scroll down to "Delete domain security policies" and enter “localhost”, then click “Delete”.

              Restart geoport.

                  @jv: The 54321 port number is already used (take it that you have since restarted Windows again?). To specify a new geoport port number to use, start geoport using this command line:

                  GeoPort.exe --port 55221

    people are still locking 7 eleven fuel? I gave up couple months ago. There is no guarantee that you can use the locked price at their petrol stations, and you may pay for full price. If locked price can't be used, there is no reason to fill fuel at 7 Eleven because there are so many other choices out there, lol

            @OzBrogains: will be your turn. All my friends couldn't use it anymore, not only me. I never have problem with locking price on phones before. I can lock successfully all the time but there is no that guarantee that you can use the locked price in stores.

      Done the same, why bother locking when it can jump 50c and you only save 25c. Lots of retailers out there

      I started having issues with the locked price.
      Since then I've been using a new account and new device each time and haven't had an issue since.

      I’m driving less and rarely bother. I’ll occasionally do an intrastate lock. I can’t get interstate to work. I’m lucky I’ve moved and there’s a Shell near me that’s often very cheap.

          no, I and my friend locked and used it in the last day (the 6th day) but account got banned at the moment we scanned the code then had to pay full price. We are wise enough not to use it in the same locking day. I have been using this trick in more than 5 years and followed these discussions every week.

      This error isn't the error - You're probably getting another error that is "No Route to host" ?

    Sorry if I'm being ignorant but why do people do this? It seems to be more expensive than other places when you use discounted gift cards and offers. Is it because they aren't as accessable? Are the glory days gone?

      Sometimes it’s still cheaper. The glory days were consistently (about once a month) getting U98 for cheaper than U91. And once we had iFakeLocation (or a jailbreak) and master’s project zero it was easy.

    One thing I've noticed lately is that with Geoport the map location is identical on the iphone, but in the 7-11 app it is searching a "slightly" different area. Geoport 3. Iphone SE ios 18

          Also noticed sometimes the 7-11 app has been "holding" on to a location a little longer than we would like. It doesn't always update as frequently as we may be spoofing

    Finally had the dreaded G09 error, account banned.

    I think it was because I had my iPhone connected to my laptop running iFL when I attempted to log in to my 7-Eleven account in the 7-Eleven app.

        If you mean iFL because it works well. I’ve now updated my phone to iOS 18.2 which I believe means I’ll need to switch to GeoPort.

    Is anyone still locking in 2025?

    I gave up back in August/September 2024 when I'd have to pay the full price (not locked) on 3 consecutive occasions (different devices).

        locked yesterday while at 7 eleven, saved me 25 cents per letter straight away as the prices in my area were significantly higher than the surrounding suburbs.

      Yes, I usually wait until the next day to fill up and I haven't had any issues. Gone are the days of locking in and instantly filling up. That's where you run into no discounts and an account ban shortly.

    Anyone else having issues with Error A01 in your own state?

    Previously no problems in own state (had issues with interstate).

    Using Geoport. iOS 18.11, bluetooth on/off makes no difference.

    Will probably have to use a VPN in future.

      Are you disconnecting from GeoPort before attempting the lock? Even if disconnected, the fake location should remain.

      OK managed to get it to work, turned off Wifi/Bluetooth which I hadn't had to do before.

      (still won't work for interstate but at least still works in my state)

    Finally got the G09 - using an old iPhone with ifake location but was hitting A01 so thought I'd update the app and next minute banned.

    Annoying thing is not being able to unlink velocity, feel like you should be able to do it via velocity instead

      You scan your velocity card during the transaction it doesn't have to be linked.

        The amount of times my local guy has told me I can just link my velocity to my 7/11 account instead of scanning 2 barcodes. Shame he doesn't know it's locked to my banned account 😂
