Its either by device ID or IP address and association of logins related to a combination of these I'd say.

All easy enough to thwart with a rooted phone. It really should be pretty easy to get back up and running with a few tweaks and a new burner account.

      • I suspect it’s a combination of device ID and IP address.

I’m testing on a new device now and will follow strict rules. I’ll report back.

      • @dontpanic In your (excellent) walk through "ANDROID STUDIO CHOPPER GUIDE v1.1" you talk about duplicating a device once set up. Do you know if this also duplicates the deviceID? Are they exact clones which 7-eleven would see as the same "phone"?

        • I haven't looked into it yet, but even if it doesn't, you can always install software to spoof a new device ID.

        • Just checked and yes, it will have the same device ID - but it's easy enough to change using Device ID Changer:

          https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.silverlabt…

          • @dontpanic: Definitely worth doing if they are blacklisting phones. I wonder what other identifying information an app has access to by default (IMEI?) and if this is cloned also.

          • @dontpanic: I had every account I've ever used with my rooted Android device G09'd a couple of months ago (even ones for friends that haven't been locked in 6+ months) so I used this app to change my Device ID before making a few new accounts on the same device. I am still locking interstate and occasionally I use the voucher nearly straight away after locking it but I've now taken to locking the voucher on the chopper phone and sending a screenshot of the barcode to other devices so I'm not logging in/out of the accounts on multiple devices any more. This seems to be working so far to keep me flying under the radar.

      • Game on I do have another phone thats rooted :). Looks like ill have to work out how to lock in android first then wipe the phone for this purpose.

    • Yeah it definitely seems they either ban all accounts associated with that device/IP.

The question is though, what was it that made them zero in on your account to begin with…

      • Most likely on your lock and redemption location?

  • +13

I have several accounts and kept getting the G09 error and that lead me to here.

I have only ever locked in for my own local area here in Brisbane but I do have multiple accounts as I fill up my car and also my parents cars as they don't have modern enough phones that the app works on. I locked in on all the accounts over the weekend and went to fill up last night but got G09 errors when I tried to log in to each of the accounts. So all my accounts are now blocked.

Just thought I would let you know as I have never done fake locations or anything like that, I have only ever locked in my own local area ever but I did have multiple accounts that I locked in using my phone.

No accounts had velocity cards attached.

    • +2

That's interesting! Thanks for letting us know.

    • +2

I wouldn't have thought you'd be violating any terms there… (multiple accounts are for multiple people)

Would you try to call up to find out why and try to unlock? That's probably more effort than creating new accounts I know.. But interesting to know why they'd lock your accounts.

      • +8

I will be calling up and and asking for an explanation as to why and I will come back and update my post, things are tough enough for people as it is and the little bit of savings we get from the fuel locks helps

        • Was there ever a followup with this?

  • +2

Good to know if anyone had only one account on their phone for the entire time got banned or not.

I think they focus on device ID with different account logged in.

Anyway the feast is over I will be back to Coscto from now on. Fuel lock app is only reason I got to their servo anyway.

    • Agreed, they are the most expensive servo on the market without the interstate discounts

      • +1

they are the most expensive servo on the market

Really? Thought it was Coles Express, BP and then 7Eleven..at least in my experience

  • Are you possibly logged in to 7-11 with more than one account at the same time?
Suggest log out until you need the actual voucher/bar code.

  • +1

Anyone know how to clone a profile in Android Studio but have unique device ID/IMEI? I am thinking of just running separate "phones" for accounts and then use barcodes.

  • Anyone experiencing 7-eleven login issue? I am getting G09 error

    • +3

      G09 = account banned

      Resolution: Create a new account

      • Pretty much instant banning every new account I make

        • Either your IP or your device ID is likely blacklisted. Try changing these next time you create an account.

    • damn, looks like they are hunting down ozbargainers!

      • Locked yesterday - was careful to lock in same state and will only redeem TMR. Haven't been banned (yet)

  • Is it possible they are now black listing devices and banning accounts that log in on that device? Just had 3 accounts banned this morning

    • I am guessing yes, couldnt create a new account on a device after one got banned.

  • I've got almost instant bans without having a chance to use the price-lock.

  • Hi all,

Does anyone know if there is any option for creating new account ? My device is blocked by 7 eleven. I can’t create new account when I try to sign up with my device I don’t receive the sign up email.

    • +1

You might have some luck with creating the account on a different phone?

    • How have you confirmed that it's your phone that has been blocked?

Seems like they're making it harder now to do these locks. I assume more and more people are doing it now so they're decided to get onto preventing multiple accounts now.

  • Yeah but I wouldn’t want my other phone to get banned as well. I tried creating account on safari but it’s asking for bank card details

  • Reminds me of the Microsoft Xbox 360 banwaves back in the day

  • +2

7-Eleven developers are monitoring this chat group i believe.

    • I also believe that 7 Eleven developers negged my comment :-)

  • +1

All my accounts are blocked now :(
created a new account, signed ok, locked, but now when signing in = G09

    This sucks.

    • How long before you locked and got banned?

If they somehow manage to ban all our new accounts, we're going to have to find some kind of workaround.

      • created this morning and blocked 5 hours later

        • Damn they're getting quick

  • +1

I don't know if my accounts have been banned. I lock on an iPhone and use the barcode on an Android. I can log in to the account on the Android, but not on iPhone. Not getting any particular errors as well. App on iPhone is up to date

  • I filled up this afternoon using a lock that I did days ago. The discount went through.

Tonight I go to log into the account again and it’s been banned. Also it seems all my other accounts have also been banned.

  • My account is banned as well. Showing Error G09. :(

  • 7 Eleven finally decided to block mass accounts recently. All my accounts are blocked. Guess I have to use middle finger and shop elsewhere from now on.

  • Four of my accounts is showing G09 and looks like the account has been banned!

    • Did they leave any not banned?

All of my accounts are now banned as of this morning.

7 11 bringing down the ban hammer on everyone it seems.

      • +2

Nope. No notes or nothing. I’ve just tried my other unused account which wasn’t used for any locking and that account is also showing up as banned so I’m suspecting they are tracking the device (iPhone) somehow on the backend etc??? I’ll need to find a fresh device to create a new account and see how that goes first!

  • With the NOX emulator Chopper, Anyone know about how to install the Hide my lock module for Lposed ? (step 15) https://modules.lsposed.org/module/com.github.thepiemonster.…

The Nox keeps saying the app is not compatible .. blah blah

    Thanks

  • +3

Made a few new accounts this morning after all my other ones got banned. Was able to make the price locks as usual. Used a different IP for each account.

Now all the new accounts are now banned.

I suspect they've banned my phone.

  • +7

    I did some experiments
iPhone (6plus) - no jailbreak - using different accounts > all got banned
iPhone (7) - no jailbreak - using one account - different states > got banned

Android - using different accounts > all got banned
Android - changed device ID - only one account - lock from different states (use voucher after 3-5 days) > not banned yet

I will report back with any updates.

    • What method of locking are you using for iPhone?

      • iFakeLocation

        • Have you tried formatting your iphone to generate a new device ID?
I've got an old iphone I might try formatting that to use as my burner.

    • +1

Am doing locking for several years never got banned. Got two accounts. I help a friend also to lock fuel. Device iPhone SE no jailbreak. I use ifakelocation

  • I have figure out whats causing the ban.. i have only experiment this on jailbroken device. Currently locking on 8 different accounts and not getting ban.

    • +1

      yet…

    • +1

What do you think is causing the bans?

      • i have only experiment this on jailbroken device

    • +1

can you imply it , or the 711 dev will patch the hole , lol

    • How long has it been since you've done the test lock without getting banned?

  • +13

To add some info for the people trying to find the cause of bans.

Im using iFakeLocation on an old un-jailbroken iPhone
    Have tried,

    • Using VPN to change IP address between each lock, ensuring the 711 app is fully closed before connecting
    • Never changing locations while the 711 app is open
    • Locking with a fuel station very close to me
    • Locking a voucher on a new account and not redeeming it (still got banned within a few days)
    • Using a different iPhone to do the lock (though this is my main phone and the one thats been used to redeem fuel locks created with the old iphone)

I can pretty confidently rule out IP address and distance between lock/redemption 7/11's as the ban detection method.

All that really leaves is device ID, and it seems the system is smart enough that it associates the ID of the redeeming phone even if you didn't do the lock with it.

This actually raises the question, are they simply banning accounts that are accessed from multiple devices? From the terms and conditions, Section 2.2 (c)
    you only log onto your 7-Eleven Account on one Device at any time;

Planning another test with a phone that's never been used for fuel locks. Ill make a new account and lock with a station fairly close by, and redeem on the same device. Will report back with results

    • If you're right about that, is it about logging out on one device before logging in on another? Or is that too simplistic?

    • +3

How would it know what device you're redeeming with if it's just your barcode? You could even use a screenshot.

      • +1

How would it know what device you're redeeming with if it's just your barcode? You could even use a screenshot.

Login to the account/opening the 7/11 app might do a handshake

7/11 could compare the device uuid recorded at time from fuel lock request (which would belong to your chopper phone) to any recent 7/11 account login/handshakes (from opening the app) right fuel lock redemption

Though if you use a screenshot - you wouldn't know if your account got G09/banhammered, because you went into the store to redeem without logging in.
If you open the app with an account that got G09'd/banhammered, you'd be greeted with "Your login has expired"

You can check your device uuid via the contact us form in the app (as part of the contact us template).

    • +5

I will report soon my full detailed observation, but I think the device ID issue can be two folds.

      • One account logging in on 2 or more devices (regardless of being signed off from device #1 or not).

      • Multiple accounts logging in from one device.

Both of the above are problematic in my opinion. Gone are the days locking for people.

So far, my experience one (new) account on one (new) device is going well. Both account and device never been used before on 7-11. It’s a one account on one device rule.

I’m religiously locking in and redeeming after few days, also I intentionally open the app and let it ping 7-11 servers before redemption.

I’m going to add another variable which is locking from a different state and see if that triggers a ban.

      • @DamonT I dont use the screenshot method as I cant tell if ive been banned prior to filling up, as cwongtech has mentioned.

@HardQuiz I think both your points might be right, especially given the comment above where a user has been banned for account sharing without even faking location.

I also think devices that have infringed the rules in the past are on some sort of blacklist, and any accounts that sign in via that phone are blocked very quickly.

        • I also think devices that have infringed the rules in the past are on some sort of blacklist, and any accounts that sign in via that phone are blocked very quickly.

IP is tracked for account creation and will trigger an instant ban if your IP has been flagged in the past
Disconnect to fixed IP addresses/home wifi when creating new accounts

Device ID - I'm not sure yet, I don't create new accounts on my normal phone, only sign in
Since safetynet test for Android is only invoked during the Fuel Lock Request process, could potentially use AppCloner clones/parallel software of some sort (there was one mentioned by another user) for signing in just to display the barcode (AppCloner clones can assign random device ID for signing in, but they can't pass SafetyNet for locking)

          • @cwongtech:

IP is tracked for account creation and will trigger an instant ban if your IP has been flagged

This has to be in combination with Device ID? I went through a period of about 2 months where I used a different IP address each time, via VPN.

I lock vouchers for family members who have their own accounts, logged in on their own phones that dont do any shady location business. Still got banned fairly quickly

            • +1

Potentially yes, I have many users on my chopper fleet, they report they were unable to create new accounts until they stopped using their home wifi to create accounts.

              • @cwongtech: i wonder if i spoof my families device ID and I can spoof my phone to that so I can lock in for them and change it back for myself. but I think my original device ID is banned now.

                • @cheapass88: Are you using android or iOS

Looks like you mention E01, android chopper

Check your PM in around 10 mins

                  • @cwongtech: All android, mine is actual G09 error. but yeh, thinking of using A new device ID for myself each time before locking in. And for family i'll spoof their Device ID (not sure if theirs is banned already). Or I can give them barcodes from my phone with a random device ID

                    • @cheapass88:

All android, mine is actual G09 error.

I mean you mention E01 in your older comments, which is SafetyNet test failure, unique to Android choppers.

thinking of using A new device ID for myself each time before locking in.

                      Good call

But there might be legitimate instances where someone needs to login to their account from a couple of different devices. Seems a heavy handed approach.

    • I dont think anyone has been falsely banned yet - at least not reported here.

    • Yeh, for sure, because people will upgrade their phone and expect the app to continue working.

    • Definitely. Some people have a work phone with the app.

  • Anyone having the issue on Windows?

In part 3 , after installing LSPosed Zygisk , it won't pop up any prompt for me to add the logo in the home screen.

And I'm not sure how to install the GpsSetter-master after downloading the zip file from github.

Brent and Crude were both $100+ last year and we were paying the same fuel price, now both are about $80 and we are still paying the same if not more. Even if you take into consideration the end of fuel subsidies, the fuel prices haven't changed much - wonder how the inflation will come down!

      • AUD/USD

  • +4

FU 7/11. We want to give you money and you G09 our accounts.

  • Hmm for those who are getting banned - do you ever had your 7-11 app for normal purchases / special promo purchases?

Wondering if that may play a factor, e.g worth using it for the occasional coffee, Slurpee, drink etc to make it seem more legitimate.

So far I haven't been banned on my primary but I also use that for random coffees. I only fuel up infrequently as I travel for work.

My friend in a similar situation but doesn't use it for other purchases has been banned.

    • I made frequent in store purchases still got banned

      • +3

Damn I guess I'll take off my Velocity # in preparation 🤣

        • Why though?…

          • @Binchicken22: Some people mentioned that you cannot add your velocity to a new account if it's been banned.

Better to be safe I guess and ask them to scan it direct

    • Yes, claimed coffees and slurpees from it. Still banned.

  • Locked on new account days ago. Friend redeemed today :). Where there is a will there is a way.

  • iOS 16.3.1 iFake on Windows, been working fine up till today. I believe it was the latest 7-11 app update. Doesn’t work anymore. Any solution? Thanks.

Has anyone got issues logging onto the 7-Eleven app on iOS? A few accounts I tried all have issues logging in for the last week.

    • What's the error you encounter? Describe the issue…

      • -1

It just says "There's been a problem logging you in" Error G09.

I tried resetting password and I couldn't even reset my password.

        • G09 is account ban. Bad luck.

@sween64: Thanks. Should have looked at the posts from the last few pages.

  • I can't open the app on the MacOS Ventura 13.2.1, I turned on the developer tools and allowed app to be open from the Privacy and Security settings as well.
    has anyone got an idea?

  • ifakelocation on Mac not showing map when opened, just showing blank "map". Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
