  • Can't believe I'm still waiting for my code to be verified, you stuffed up allphones; just man up & take the loss!

    • That would be a big loss but they would have known how many coupons they were issuing and their stock levels to meet those coupons.
They cannot say the reaction was surprising as the discount was massive.

  • I'm still waiting as well… hopeful… talked to a lady on the phone just then. She said the staff from Allamazingdeals - i think linked to Allphones. Will be back on Monday.

    • Which means….? It's more likely next week they will contact us? Cheers :)

  • This is bullshit, especially when they say they are going to contact us "asap". Luckily for them, they waited so long keeping fake promises that there isn't going to be a whole bunch of angry people with vouchers, because everyone has forgotten about it.

  • Any one been contacted after filling in form about voucher number and contact details.

    www.allphones.com.au/shop/all_amazing.asp

did mine start of week but no ph or emails from allphones, this would have to be the biggest screw up promotion, but maybe as mae west said , these no such thing as bad publisity.

    • still waiting…….

  • So heaps of people are waiting for their code to be verified then, not just me. OK, well perhaps they are thinking it will just go away but judging by what I have read here, a lot of people are quietly, patiently waiting, not about to forget it or fade away.

Comments on their Facebook seemed to get the ball rolling last time, I'd say thats the place to "remind" them if you want to have your voice heard.

  • Got a call from allphones today telling me that because there have been so many fake code entries that i would need to enter my code to the allamazingdeal page on their site and wait for a confirmation call . After id explained that one o their reps already called me to confirm xmas week she cqlled back and said there was an error on their end and the phone will be posted today and ill get it in a few days. Fingers cross !

  • +2

Also got a call about 5 mins ago telling me to re-verify my code via Allphones site. Samsung Nexus is also now available

    • awesome!

so they didnt ask you to verify anything over the phone?

how to we re-verify it via the site?

      Cheers :)

      • If you go onto the allphones website, click on the 'Shop' link, then on the bottom RHS there is a link for the All Amazing Deals customers. Just got another call today saying that my code is now active.

Unfortunately, I wanted the SE Experia Arc, which they are no longer selling :(

        • No I did not have to verify any of my details over the phone

        • Oh wow, that's awesome. So you have til Feb 29 to wait for the ARC, right?

I already entered my details in that page you are talking about. i.e. https://www.allphones.com.au/shop/all_amazing.asp

so should i just wait for a call?

or should i fill out that page again?

          Thanks :)

        • I'd say wait for their call - took them about a week to get back to me. I have a feeling that if they do happen to get the Arc back in stock, it'll be more expensive.

  • So I sent them an email 10 days ago asking for an eta and stating that I had already entered my details into the form. They replied today requesting for me to enter the details into the form (they must have thought I was referring to the allamazing deals "form" rather than the new form they setup on their website). Well that was a freaking awesome reply after waiting 10 days for a response.

  • Called them again and again, finally got an answer: "your order on 14 Dec has been cancelled and refunded. No more Samsung Galaxy S2, but you can try to order the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus (which is overly priced $769 + postage). Validate the old code on our special page first before ordering."
Waited for almost a month with such an irresponsible answer! Just wondering if anyone has raised this to the ACCC. WON'T BY FROM ALLPHONE (ALLFAIL) ANYMORE!

I got a call from allphones saying my voucher is ready to use. Has anyone got a call yet?

    • Nah no call yet :(

    • I got my call today. I verified my code on their page as soon as that became available, but have not heard from them since. Until today, that is. They just told me that my code is now active and valid until end of February. They also mentioned that some verification may be required when ordering, but I didn't ask anything further about that. Now, I wish they just had the Xperia Arc back on their page, because I reckon that's the best value out of them all.

      • I wish they had SGSII

        • +1

I wish they had some phones in general.. Only 2 and they are both normal price after discount..

    • What was the general gist of the phone call? Did they verify anything with you? Cheers (:

      • +1

It was a short one. A lady called and said my voucher is ready to use. I said thanks and hung up :)

        • awesome mate, thanks

        • So you used someone elses voucher or you're just accepting that someone stole your voucher?

    • still no call…..

    • jakentta 9 hours 20 min ago>> I got my call today. I verified my code on their page…

May as well write yourself a ten million dollar IOU, would be as useful?

  • just got a confirmation call but i will wait for few more weeks as they have nothing great to offer as of now.

  • +1

    Wooo hooo!

Got the call; mah voucher is active-ah!
Had to ring up and politely inquire (hassle them).

I used this number and got right through to the correct people:
    138000 menu option 6

  • +1

Got the call. When is the SII coming back in astock

  • +1

Got the call too. Can't resist the Galaxy Nexus, even though the price will probably drop very soon.

  • +2

    Got the call as well.
But nothing good, unlike when this deal went live.

  • Yeah, spewing there is nothing to buy… I mean really nothing.
Wouldn't go the Nexus (or any phone)at that price. Its dearer than my computer. Says $769 of lost at the pub to me.

I want either the GII or down the other end of the scale, if the Huawei was over $300 retail that would be good too.
They really gotta add more stock soon…it makes their site look silly as phone specialists with the limited models they stock.

    • If you call and ask to buy a phone outright (dont mention the coupon) that was on the list when the deal started they will have stock and be keen to sell. Mention that you have a coupon and instantly there is no stock.
      Try it.

        • +1

.. and don't they know that! The decent phones will mysteriously arrive in stock on their site for outright purchase on 01/03/12…

Publicity gained, obligation to supply avoided… mission complete suckers!

      • +1

Well they directly said that the reason stock was so limited was "all the sales over Christmas" when I called.
Perhaps BS. Maybe the ultimate solution to the coupon crisis was to issue the coupons but have zero "buyable" phones.

Hmmmm. Coupons pointless without reasonable phones to buy.

      • +1

        @xywolap
Yeah it certainly looks that way - there's a huge and obvious gap in the pricing between the crap low end phones and the expensive slow movers.
Still, they must be losing a lot of sales from regular non-coupon carrying punters that want to buy an unlocked phone. They will walk away thinking the range and prices are wack…

      • +2

Has anyone tried that? I might do it for fun later :D

        • Go on.. would love to hear about it.

  • +1

They'll probably add more phones to the list after these vouchers expire.

    • +1

After the voucher expires, I bet they will add all phones back to their website. Get it? All phones?

      BA DOOM TISHHHH.

  • I totally forgot about my code :D.
    I just filled the form.

    • +1

Got a call this morning. My code is active.
      Will wait for ARC.

  • +1

Everyone, lets report them to the ACCC….

that will really kick them in the nuts

  • How is this for ACCC??????

    http://www.allphones.com.au/shop/outright_detail.asp?code=40…

    RRP: $598
    Our Online Price: $775

    • if u bother to read the above posts

      or the posts below you

      you will see why…

  • Just got the call confirming my voucher is now valid and ready for use.

Asked her if any further stock was coming in or if what was on the online store was what we could purchase.

Apparantly "we are trying hard to get further stock in for the Galaxy S and Galaxy S2, we've just been extremely busy over the Christmas period".

What really irked me was that she also said "It is in no way intentional that the phones are no longer for sale, we have just run out of stock".

What a blatant lie and she had the nerve to suggest purchasing the Galaxy Nexus as they had "just arrived yesterday".

Not sure what to do, I was in the market for an S2 as I'm going to utilise the TRS to get my GST back, but not sure if it's worth gambling on Allphones to get more stock in and deliver before I depart or if I just purchase one outright for roughly $550 and get $50 back.

    • Is it that hard to believe they ran out of stock?

It hasnt been that long since the "silly season"… It takes a finite amount of time for stock to come in..

      Just my thoughts…

      • +2

If you look at the above comment made by xywolap and it has been mentioned in previous pages - they do have stock of the SGS2, but they are not letting people purchase them with the voucher.

    • Yeah she tried hard to get me to buy the Galaxy nexus too. seems thats what they 'want' us to do.
I read some people received the GII with broken security seal. Perhaps they source these special ones differently?

    • "It is in no way intentional that the phones are no longer for sale, we have just run out of stock".

Well why did they issue so many coupons? They had control over the number issued.

Test the water guys… call and sak to buy a phone >$300 rrp that no longer appears on their web site and they will be keen to sell it to you. Mention the coupon, then it changes to no go. So all this hoo haa about being busy over christmas & trying to get stock is not true.

I can understand someone stuffing up, hey shit happens? All they need to do is come clean, apologise and stop jerking people around. That only makes it worse.

      • The coupons were for phones $300 and above. The coupons were not for SGS2 phones. They have not run out of stock of all phones $300 and above.

        • +1

They have effectively tried to knobble the coupons by only offering expensive "slow moving" phones such as the N9, Blackberry torch etc. This is way different from the spread of phones and prices first offered that made the deal sweet.
Unless you want a galaxy Nexus… seem keen to push that one. I'm thinking the have plenty of profit margin on that one to absorb the coupon costs.
          Sweet FA decent Android phones.

        • That's true. But that has nothing to do with "why did they issue so many coupons". :)

Lets not forget that the Galaxy Nexus with the coupon is the cheapest AU stock around anywhere - even significantly cheaper than the usual HK ebay sellers with overseas stock.

        • True, indeed.
Personally I am gunning for a GII though.
Fingers crossed they bring it back

        • Out of curiosity, why? I had an SGS2 for a while and was setting up a Galaxy Nexus for someone. It's really nice! The biggest thing that made me decide not to get it was the camera's poorer low-light performance.

        • For me its about price.
They are both superb phones, there is just a wall that I wont go beyond as to how much any phone is worth to me.
Nexus is great but its over the line.

To be fair $569 for Samsung Galaxy Nexus aint too bad.
    infact cheapest Aus stock price.

    • add postage? makes it around 600?

add postage? makes it around 600?

      • +1

$584.95, still the cheapest aus stock around.

        • Yea agree still a good deal for the Nexus at thsi time

Buckscoop & Vodafone postpaid pre-Christmas deal:
      Samsung Galaxy Nexus ($64/month * 12 months contract) - $200 cashback = $568

I wonder if they received the cashback from Buckscoop. Nobody reported receiving the cashback in that thread.

  • I also got a call this morning and was informed that my code is now verified (and active) and I can use it. I am tempted to buy the galaxy nexus even at this price. I haven't seen it at a cheaper price elsewhere. If anyone knows of a cheaper price, let me know. I will be using this most probably in next week.

    • You need to go to the outright section: https://www.allphones.com.au/shop/mobile-phones-outright.asp. And don't be surprise when your phone Galaxy S2 is not there :-)

      • +2

… and nothing else reasonably priced.

        • Unless you're looking for a Galaxy Nexus. With the coupon, it's the absolute best deal in the country - even cheaper than ebay HK imports.

  • YAY!! I got my call! Thanks Allphones. Code verified! Good on them

    • +1

LOL…. now what are you going to buy???? :-(

  • after almost a month waiting, my sgsii came today . had order white and it came black but dont really care anymore just glad to get it

Called to confirm my order i placed on the day competition started just to be surprised by the response that my order has been cancelled. Really pissed me off!!!!

I have a code, i could not use it, after i substracted it by 500 it worked. I placed an order, paid blablabla. There is confirmation of order and receipt and eveything. Now they cancelled it and said its one of the fake voucher. I said i cant use the legit one at all. They said they still gonna cancel, re bullshit apply my voucher, wait for validation and re-purchased my SGS2 with i have no doubt different price.

Can i ask if anyone successfull getting any phone with a substracted voucher number???

Are they allowed to do this to me or am i just overreacting???

    • -6

I am tempted to take them straight to court. That'll cost them more than $200 for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      • +3

If the code you used was not a valid one (the one stated in the allamazingdeal email), I dont think you have a chance in winning. Doesnt matter if you got a legit one before, since thats not the one you used to buy it with. I doubt other people who purchased using "substracted voucher number" got their phone.

      • Yeah they have a hair trigger for any fiddling at all.
Dont think you've got much chance.

      • "cloud68 on 12/01/2012 - 19:38 I am tempted to take them straight to court."

I reckon that will scare them now?

    • +2

So to put it bluntly you:

      1) signed up for a code at AllAmazingDeals
      2) Attempted to place an order at AllPhones and found it didn't work
      3) Came here to read about what other people were doing which was either be patient for the code to activate or manipulate your code
      4) You chose to manipulate your code in a system where unique codes were assigned per email address

I can't really see how you're going to put it back on them. It was pretty well documented here that the codes were taking a while to activate. By changing the number of your code, you used a code that wasn't yours to use and your order was cancelled. Annoying, yes, but it seems that pretty reasonable actions were taken by them.

      • Even if you have a genuine code you will not be able to use it. Read the posts.

Reasonable action taken by them?? LOL

        • Even if you have a genuine code you will not be able to use it. Read the posts.

What has that got to do with this specific situation? I'm not addressing the deal in general, I'm addressing this specific instance of it, where someone used a code that wasn't their's and got it refused.

  • Sigh still no good phone :( If worst comes to worse I might just end up getting the Galaxy Nexus but i can wait till feb 29th to see what comes up :D

  • Got my call this morning varifying that my voucher was ok to use. Surprisingly no decent phones now available! Asked when SGS2 would be in stock again only to be told they don't know. Bet it will be after 29 Feb!! Very poor form Allphones. Overall, poorly managed publicity stunt that will do more harm than good to their reputation.

    • +1

Yeah I think its their "brilliant solution" to the voucher fiasco -
Shut people up by issuing vouchers whilst losing very little by removing most of the wanted phones.
Everyone knows they have plenty o' SGS2's, just dont want to sell them with vouchers.

      • Good news… stock available !! … oh, but it will be early March.. LOLLLZZZ

    • Its not just the s2, its all the other phones too! They really have the Galaxy nexus and the 3d LG. Pretty sure there are alot more phones…

    • I'm not sure how bad it really is for the reputation. Say 10,000 people get really annoyed at them and decide not to have anything to do with them based on this deal… There's a lot more fish in the sea in the market in Australia. It hasn't really had that much publicity.

      • +1

It will not hurt their reputation at all. People posting on here don't even read the previous posts.

  • same, got my call this morning telling me the code is good to go.

    • Wow, ….now to order a phone at a really good price?

  • +1

I just received my SGS 2. It has taken a few calls and emails to straighten things out but they did honor the original order I placed with them back in December. This is despite my having done nearly everything I could to muck things up, specifically using different names and email addresses on each site and not really following it up until the week before xmas.

The staff member I dealt with was very helpful, had me forward the original email from allamazingdeals and let me know that the phone wasn't likely to ship before xmas. The phone didn't arrive and I sent a couple of emails but then on Monday the same person called me to say that they had just returned from leave, apologised for the delay, and said that my order would be sent that day. It was in my hands two days later and just in time for the occasion at which it is to be given as a gift!!

All in all, hardly the worst shopping experience I have ever had and I am very grateful to that staff member who went out of their way to help me during what must have been a pretty stressful time.
