well, my pending transaction was cancelled even after their call verification yesterday, then i called them this morning, they saying it is fine and i will be receiving the handset soon , the money will be taken from my cc once the phone is dispatched. she explained to me this is due to the fact that too many ppl were abusing the system by randoming guess the last four digits of the code and those legit orders were severely interfered. so i guess for those who placed legit orders should expect the delivery anytime soon after they sort out with this issue.

    • Thanks for that skywise. Really helpful for those of us who still hasn't received a call.

    • That sounds reasonable!

Just checked my CC transaction list, no money has been taken (since my payment went through on 14/Dec). I've got the confirmation call yesterday.

    • I do wonder how they are sorting out legit issues, what happens if two orders do have the same number by guessing. Do they both get thrown out or do they check to see whether the person has the correct email?

      • i guess that is why they called and verified with all details entered for the promotion.

        • Post below demonstrates how they do it, ask for the email. They already have that from me, so all I need to do now is find out how to order. I'll sit and wait (and see what else appears in the mean time).

  • Oh wow, just called them up about my order. Apparently a large number of orders came through on my voucher…

Have to email them a copy of my voucher to confirm it and then they'll send me mine.

  • I called Allphones yesterday on the 13… number asked them whats happening, the lady almost instaneously said that delivery would be 7-14 days and then said most likely after Christmas due to the volume and rush of the promo..( whats the point of paying for express delivery then?? )

    My code 4169845xx

Anyway.. later that afternoon around 4pm.. Allphones called me and confirmed my order and wanted to despatch it she grabbed my delivery details and said I should get it before Christmas.. go figure!

    • I don't think code number really means much at this point as some people's codes were activated sooner than others. Order number is potentially more meaningful as one would assume they are somewhat correlated to order time and sequence.

  • Hi, can someone tell me how is the transaction shown in your bank/card history? I don't find anything "ALLPhones", but there is an unknown paypal deduction which the amount is very close to the phone i ordered (but not exactly). I really think my credit card info got stolen, but still hope it is AllPhones.

  • New post on FB:
    http://www.facebook.com/AllphonesOfficial?sk=wall

It looks like they are generally doing the right thing, but communicating it very poorly making it frustrating for everyone who hasn't heard. Hopefully we get some clear communication from them on what is happening at some point.

just received my order..was gift for sis..she's going b vry happy..

    • Less than 24 hours? Impressive.

    • Did you get an email confirmation when they shipped or did it just magically turn up? Just looking forward to some confirmations.

      • just the call yesterday..thats all

        • REALLY??? CANNOT BELIEVE!!!

No email with tracking number prior receiving your handset?

My confirmation call came 1-2 hours later. Hope I can see my order this afternoon!

    • what phone was it?

      thats good for you! yay!!!!

      • experia arc..thnks

        • That makes sense. Most people ordered sgs2.

        • Hope more ppl come back to report receiving GSII tomorrow!

PS/Did send an email mon morning to ask a question but no reply as yet

You haven't previously said that you confirmed with them that your order is cancelled, so don't expect sympathy here when you come in caps lock blazing.

    • +1

and if u contacted them then please provide a reason why it was cancelled. Half the story is pretty boring

  • I haven't received a call yet either. is there anyone here with confirmation email called them (before receiving a call from them) and got a delivery confirmation?

    • its no use calling them. i've tried twice and they just give me the same thing each times "your handset will be delivered within 14 days".

      • Thanks. Its just a waiting game then.

Just received a phone call from allphones.

They said that my order would be cancelled due to using two different emails. One for signing up with allamazingdeals and one for placing the order with through allphones. They claim that with regards to terms and conditions that the same emails must be used, otherwise the code is void. On being told this, i visited the website where the terms and conditions are and find this.

"Promotional codes are non-transferable – they may only be used by the person to whom they are issued and must only be used in accordance with these terms and conditions."

I suggest to the man on the phone that at no point do the terms and conditions specifically outline that the same email addresses must be used. And that it merely suggests that the person who received the code is the only one that can use the code.

Secondly, he advised that my order was also invalid due to having multiple codes. I advised to him that the only reason I had two codes was because the first email didn't even get received until much later. This email was recevied at approximately 10:52AM. My order was placed with allphones at 10:42AM.

He advised that due to fraudulent orders they were enforcing a zero tolerance rule.

After some heated discussion he said that he would put my case forward and leave it to the directors discretion and that he would advised me tomorrow if my order would be honored or not.

I urge anyone who used two different email addresses to advise allphones representatives that no where does it specifically mention that identical email addresses must be used. And although it might be imlpied, it is not expressed and therefore is open to subjectivity.
If they counter argue with "We use the emails to perform validity checks", i would respond with saying something like "how many insert name do you think are going to put through an order using the same code? Surely the insert name who signed up with allamazingdeals is the same insert name that placed the order with that same code.

    • This does not bode well for those that used two emails (myself) and many others who have more than one code.

    • U scared me first then I realised I used the same email on both sites. Phewww. Its completely luck i could have used different emails. Junk address for amazing deals and personal address for allphones.

    • since it's a subjective decision, why dont u try saying:

"Ok mate :) I'll re order with the email the code was sent to and then it's win win for everybday!! :)"

      • Although he didn't say it, he was heavily implying that all codes under each of the emails would be void due to a breach of terms and conditions.

        • ah yeah i get it now. u got two codes etc hahaa. my bad

    • tell him if he has a problem with ur order he can talk to the department of fair trading whit whom u will be filing a complaint

    • I should get a phone call sometime tomorrow with the outcome. I'll keep you all updated.
And I will keep fighting for my codes!

    • For those interested, the Terms & Conditions are here:

      http://www.allamazingdeals.com/terms/

    • How do they know you got two codes???

Did u use same email for both codes?

  • I sent email to [email protected].

I forwarded them my Order Confirmation email.

A female sales rep rang me back within 10 minutes of sending the email.

She then asked me to forward the email from AllAmzzingdeals with the code in order to verify the validity of the purchase.

I asked her to pull up details herself (the onus shouldn't be on me to do this). To which she replied that Allphones didn't have access to the AllAmazing deals database.

    What shambles.

    • I did the same thing. Sent them the email but haven't heard back…have you?

      • Just sent email (was on way out from work when they rang) and only just got a chance to email code.

        Will hear tomorrow I guess!

        • I rang them and emailed them around noon, but haven't heard back at all…

    • @ Fungus.

I just resent them the email with my original code email.

Just received a call to confirm delivery address.

Phone (SGSII) will be dispatched TODAY! W00t!

      • Cheers mate, I'll email them again now. Hopefully I'll get a call soon.

  • ffs i am overseas already dont even know whats happening with my order

    • Hopefully a nice present waiting for you when you get back. Though it's a pity it didn't arrive before you left, you could have claimed back GST for a super deal.

  • Has everyone with only valid code in email but no order; given up?

    • No point in giving up yet, just put it on hold. They have said on their Facebook page and by email to many people that the codes will be valid for use again at some point. When/if that is remains to be seen.

    • I'm awaiting the 14 days (28th Dec…. hmm probably not a good date but still) to see if I get a message, and reguarly checking the site for the * to be removed considering the Allamazingdeals.

BTW has anyone tried getting a new code out of the site seeing its back up? I was suprised to see the sign up there.

I do wonder if I will have an issue with them seeing I unsubscribed from the allamazingdeals site after they started rejecting the codes and it looked like a sham (allphones has claimed everyone will be unsubscribed, but I dont really believe it! Then again I don't believe I actually was unsubscribed)

    • Nope. I am still holding onto my code. I have emailed them about it and they pretty much got back to me with the standard reply: "We are currently verifying all the codes and will let you know when you would be able to use your code (if it is a valid code)." I am anyways in no big hurry as I am after the Galaxy Nexus, which is not yet available on their site. I will wait till mid Feb for it and if it doesn't turn up, and provided they allow me to use my code, I will get something else just for the sake of using the code.

      • voted up but then accidentally revoked it, duno how to + the deal again. sigh, so sorry

  • tell us what phone you all got!!! yaaay!!!

  • Does anyone left with unused coupons? I would like to use it.

    • they wont honour the code if the name of the order doesn't match the name the coupon was issued to.

i have also been advised that the email addresses have to match.

      • oh..now i cant get new phone for x-mas. :(

      • Did they contact you to let you know they don't match or do we need to find that out from them?

        • Ah right, I recall. My scenario is slightly different as they claimed my code didn't come through with the order so asked for the order number and code number to be emailed through. Haven't heard back from them since then.

  • Hope my phone is showing up soon!!!

Where is the GSII delivered from? Anybody from Sydney City has got their GSII?

For those not trawling through all the 9 pages of posts.

If you ordered with a genuine code, received an order confirmation email and haven't heard back from Allphones…you need to email them at [email protected].

In the email, send them BOTH your original Allamazing Deals email with the promo code AND the order confirmation email.

Make sure you give them a contact number so they can ring you.

I just did this and received a call within 10 minutes of sending the email. I had my delivery address confirmed and was told that my SGSII would be shipped today.

    Good luck.

    • +1

Thanks. I've just done this. They called back in 15 mins. First they tried to play emails won't match card but when I said they are the same email she confirmed my address for delivery this week.

I should have done this earlier because I'm going on holidays on Friday :(

    • Funny thing.

Order was processed. All ok. Hung up phone.

20 mins later, another bloke calls me up and says that he has the order but it doesn't state which PHONE I ordered. I told him the Galaxy SGSII. He said, 'Ok, it will be dispatched today'. That's it. Must have been the warehouse/dispatch department.

Seems like even internal communications are fraught with errors!

  • Yay, mine arrived too. White SG2 to Mel. Thanks to ganz for posting, and to princess peach for her 'testimonial'. That was what made me sign. Great deal for those who got in on time.

Good luck to everyone else still waiting.

  • Haven't got mine in Syd city :(

  • Mine has just been delivered!
Posted (to Sydney 2000) from MYAREE WA 6154.

  • omg im sooo jealous!!!

anyone knows what happens if you are not around when delivery is here? do they leave it at the door or they actually put a card and ask you to pick up?

    • the second one

      • +2

As aside: there are a few SGSII on Gumtree Melbourne going to $400-450. Those who didn't score a deal from Allphones ($390 shipped) might consider trying Gumtree? Less stressful. Hehe.

  • I have emailed then since 8:47 WST still no reply and i can't even choose the option 3 and 1 on the telephone keypad. Allphones please cancel my order. Thanks.

    • They don't monitor this forum, so asking here won't do any good.

Are you emailing [email protected]? That is where I got a quick response.

      • Yes I did. They don't monitor does not matter but I just want to make future customers aware about my experience and frustration.

        • They also seem pretty responsive on Facebook.

Did you give them a phone number where they can reach you on?

        • I was referencing your statement:

Allphones please cancel my order. Thanks.

That doesn't really make future customers aware of your experience, that is a request to Allphones to cancel your order.

  • Very funny, isn't it. What kind of this business? We pay money and we beg them to verify, to process the order manually? No, no no. ALLFAIL !!

    • Because the prices are so good, people are prepared to pay and chase up. If there was somewhere else selling at this price point we probably wouldn't be so committed to trying to make sure we get over the line.

  • Who delivers the phones? Auspost? AAE?
Do people get dispatch email and tracking info? Or does the phone just turn up?

    • I've asked this previously, it just turns up.

    • got mine through Toll Priority - Overnight..without confirmation from AP.

    • Same as FALLEN, mine was delivered by Toll Priority Nationwide. Posted from WA to Sydney …

  • Yes I emailed them my mob number with the order and the voucher emails

  • Just got a call now - emailed them about 12:30 (today) with all details (original + confirmation order). Was informed that they need proof of ID (100points) - Drivers license, CC (blank out 1st 6 digits), Medicare

… does this sounds legit? alarms bells went off in my head

    • that's strange. they are normally asked if you're signing a contract. but maybe there was a problem with your credit card? didn't you ask them why they need them?

      • +1

I don't think you need 100 point credit check unless you are signing a postpaid contract. I need only driver license to sign for my phone which was delivered by Virgin/Optus.

      • yeah was strange - asked why and she said error in the process. She had said blank out info if you want, just need 100points! Will be blanking out heaps!

        • Even she asked you for 100 point credit check, the driver won't ask you 100 point credit check, they just need driver license to sign for the package, that's it.

        • TLAM: was not the delivery guy, haven't got it yet! - it was Allphones (via phone call) regarding the order :)

        • :d, just tell my experience, mate

    • My manager signed it for me because he opened the door. He wasn't asked to show his ID.

      • 2 years ago, Virgin delivered the phone to my door and left it there, wasn't asked IDs at all, so careless!
