  • Still waiting for mine :(

  • Has anyone in WA received theirs?

    • got my droid razr yesterday
      delivered by toll priority

  • Ok fimally got a call, but they want me to email a scanned copy of my credit card, Medicare and driving license but i refused and asked to cancel my order.

    • That's far from necessary.

    • Did you ask them WHY they needed this from you?

    • this is really strange. personally i wouldn't give them that information and i don't see why they need it.
everyone else who put in orders (received confirmation of order emails) didn't need to provide things like medicare and drivers licence.

      • +1

Asked for 100Points today too (processing errors) - scanned and blocked out all personal details (not required), just got a follow up call (now) "cancelled due to lack of details and mismatching info" - told them is was BS and info. provided was valid - said want all info sent destroyed and confirmation

        … ACCC anyone?

        • Could this be a new strategy to put people off using the voucher?
If I were you I would post the question on why they needed this info on their facebook page to let others know and to pressure them for a valid response.

        • how are they going to "destroy" your emails? Delete does not "really" delete emails.

  • I have refused because my confidential and privacy info can be compromised.
Contact ACA instead just like other people did for BigW.

    Following on from http://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/704827?redirect=1
    I hadn't received a call by 16:20 so i called the 138000 hotline.
The person advised that my order was still pending and that i'd receive a call back COB Thursday 22nd Dec at the latest.

No sooner than 5 minutes after I hang up, i receive a call back from the one and only Siar Taheri.
Siar advised that a decision had been made and that my order will be posted out and that I should receive it by Friday afternoon.

This is it, the best possible outcome. Order has been honoured after using two seperate email addresses and being advised that my order would be in my greasy hands before Christmas.

For anyone who used two email addresses and only one code, I urge you to fight for your orders honour if you're told that your code is invalid due to placing the order with an email address other than that of which you used to sign up for allamazingdeals.

Also, it is important to note that i was not prompted at any time during my multiple phonecalls to provide medicare, drivers, licence, or any other proof of identity.

I will now give this deal a +

    • I had two emails and one code,I had no such problems. Mine was dispatched today apparently, should come today or next Wednesday.

      • tmrw*

  • Sent through my confirmation email and the $200 voucher to [email protected] and a lady rang me up withing 5 minutes saying it was approved. However, she said it would be "shipped next week, or after the public holidays, or the week after that"

    • +1

I sent through my voucher and confirmation yesterday after being asked to from a phone call, but haven't heard back since then. Much frustration.

  • Received my SGS this morning from WA via Toll Priority. I'm in Sydney.

Bit of background. Received my code on Wed approx 10:30am. Used code and purchased phone approx 11:30am. Received call from Allphones on Mon about midday to let me know that they were mailing out my phone sometime this week.

Not sure how they're going through the orders. Hopefully those who ordered before the cut off get their phone by Friday. Good luck all!

I forgot to mention that on Wed, after the deal was pulled, I did forward Allphones my emails with my voucher code and purchase confirmation.

  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Anyone who has a valid unique promo code + confirmation AND has not received a product OR had orders cancelled, please visit the AllPhones Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/AllphonesOfficial?sk=wall) and either 'Like', comment or share the following Wall Post (http://www.facebook.com/AllphonesOfficial/posts/220763051331…).

    • Thanks.

Any info or requirements for people who hold valid codes but have not bought yet?

      • No problem - No information re: not bought yet, sounds like they are trying to back out of any deals they possibilty can at this stage so don't hold your breath unfortunately!

  • What happen to people who received code but could not make a purchase online because their website was flooded?

  • -3

I just got my GSII white, I emailed Allphones and received a call within 15 minutes, they asked my address and also confirmed few other details and I was on the clear. call received on Tuesday afternoon about 1:30PM and received my phone on Wednesday 10 Am from W.A now that's service. my brother had purchased phones online from Allphones and delivered within 24 hours. they did advised me that they have received a lot of orders and working to get every rightful order sent out. there are a lot of people here criticizing but not many people with good feedback. give time and i'm sure you'll get your phone. Thank you Allphones for the service A+

    still no response from allphones……

  • Got called on Monday said my phone was dispatched. Have received it yet.

  • Awesome! Sent them an email with both my code and order confirmation with my mobile number last night. Just got called to confirm my address and that they'll be sending it out today. Should receive it tomorrow - can't wait!

    • Ditto.

  • I received a phone call about an hour ago from the male AllPhones Rep. whom has now confirmed my order, processed it and have it tomorrow - he clarified why my IP address is NSW and I'm in SA however explained why this was!

    PLEASE READ:
To whom all have legit codes + orders# (and not received yet), send them an email with both attached and also make contact via their Facebook Wall - more of a public forum so you'll get noticed!

Unfortuanately the overall communications from senior management seems to be lacking - an email to all customers should have been made alerting them of the process and procedure. Ahhh lesson learned … do feel sorry for the employees they get stuck with the mess to clean up.

    • Wow, they are doing IP traces now? They are trying everything to back out of the deals, aren't they?

      • +3

More like they are trying to weed out the scumbags that abused the system to get multiple codes…

  • Saw this on their Facebook
"we are currently working around the clock so that we can allow everyone with a valid unused code to order as soon as possible. Keep checking back to our Facebook page & also our website for any announcements. thanks!"

Edit: Now I look at their store, they don't have anything good to get…

    • Wow, all the good phone are gone! Ouch.

      • Hmmm….. as I suspect…
They removed all the good ones and soon they will say will honour legit codes that had used. This time they know that only a handful of people will use the code.

        • Agreed - however ACCC clearly states on their website there are laws relevant to price advertising and promotions and that a business risks breaching the law if it:

"advertises goods and services at a specific price when it is, or should have been aware, that it would not be able to supply enough of the good at the price for a reasonable amount of time. This is called bait advertising."

        • That's a faulty argument though. Unless they advertised specific phones at specific prices, they haven't advertised goods and services at a specific price.

They did however offer $200 off their range of products. This doesn't say that their range is fixed and won't change.

The thing to remember is that the deal was probably a stuff-up as I seriously doubt they intended AllAmazingDeals to give the code out that freely. A third party gave out a lot of codes, most of which they seem to be honouring. If the coupon given out was $400 or $600 off all the phones we would have accepted straight up that it was a mistake and had no expectation of receiving it, but because it was somewhat reasonable the expectation seems to be that there was no mistake at all.

        • I think it's more likely that due to the deal they've sold out of stock for the popular phones. Given the Christmas rush I can't imagine they'd be restocking all that quickly - but I believe they'll be back not long after Christmas. Well, as a holder of a voucher I sure hope so! :-P

      • Sigh… SGSII seems to have disappeared from the outright phones available.

  • I just received my SG2 via Toll!! I had a call from Allphones on Tuesday to confirm my address (I had emailed my discount code email to them with my order number before hand) … no further emails or tracking info though.

Thanks ganz - really great deal!

  • Just got a bounce to my email asking if they would honour the coupon:

Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed:
    [email protected]
Message will be retried for 2 more day(s)
    Technical details of temporary failure:
The recipient server did not accept our requests to connect.

    • Try [email protected]
They will honour the coupon at later stage, at least that's what they told me. The problem is there will be no good phones left…

  • SGS2 received today via Toll. Was told it was shipped yesterday.

  • Finally got my sgs2 via toll. Thanks OP! Great deal!

  • Got SG S2 White today via Toll Priority finally! +1 OP

  • If it's send through Toll Priority, does it mean I have to be at home to receive it?

    • You (or someone else) needs to be at the delivery address to sign for the package.

      • Cheers. So do I need to sign that I have given someone else permission to sign the parcel, or can anyone just sign it?

    • Yes, you have to sign for the parcel.

  • +2

Here's hoping they will have better phones when they finally re-honour the deal. Surely, AP wouldn't be so stupid to withdraw 'good' phones just because there are still a handful of codes out there. They still need to have stock to fulfil other normal orders.

    • I reckon they are just really short on stock and don't want to sellout at the lower price. Once they get more stock, it'll probably be back up on the site.

  • Received my SGS2 this morning via Toll to my work's mailroom.

    • I was reading through recent comments and you mentioned your cc was refunded. I checked my netbank this morning but that payment does not show up, pretty sure it showed up when i paid for it last week (also received the confirmation email) but its missing now. I haven't heard from Allphones yet. So were you charged again and did they contact you or you had to chase them up ? Thx

      • +1

Hmm don't recall saying that. When I went through the Commbank thing I got a bank receipt etc, but it never hit my CC (only confirmed that yesterday, didn't have netbanking set up for it). As of now, it still hasn't been charged to my CC, may be held though. I'm a supp card holder so I don't see all the details.

I did chase them a bit with emails to get the order moving, just asked them what the status was with my order number.

      • +1

        Hi Mr Alligator,
The same thing happened to me. What you need to do is email [email protected] and attached your Allphones confirmation email as well as your Amazing Deals voucher email to them. Also give them a contact number so they can call you back to confirm. They should call back within 15-20mins.

        • @Domingo and @ ozzzie, thx for your input. As per your suggestion, I'll email them and hopefully they will get back to me soon.

        • Did all that a week or so ago, an email sent in response with no further follow up….\

  • +6

I don't think they will be jeopardizing their normal sale by pulling off the better or popular handsets, it could be just a matter of stock level and given that Vodafone also has no stock of SGSII either. Let's not criticize them just yet like people who jumped the gun when this deal was posted initially.

  • +4

    Update:
    Please go to https://www.allphones.com.au/shop/all_amazing.asp
    and follow the details.

    • I found that it did not like my GMail address that used a + in it.
To get around it I just opened it in Firefox with NoScript and this disabled the javascript email address check.

      • Yeah, same with the + in gmail addresses (these are perfectly valid email addresses under the RFC).

And once you submit it, the form says:

        Nick,

thanks for your response. We apologise for the delay and we do appreciate your patience. Whilst we endeavoured to process as many of these requests before the Christmas period, the overwhelming number of responses has made this difficult to achieve.

Once we can confirm the authenticity of your response, you will be contacted to let you know that your code can be used.

Some of you have queried the availability of certain handsets. While we have sold out of quite a number during the Christmas period, we will be getting new handsets in over the New Year.

        Allphones

    • Codes will not be redeemed if:
      a) Used more than once
      b) Multiple entries from the same person
      c) Registration details incorrect or incomplete

I've got 3 codes with different emails but same name. Are those codes able to get redeemed?
      According to b), it sounds no…. :(

    • +1

This is REALLY REALLY good of them! Much respect to them for doing their best…

  • -1

They have taken off the Samsung Galaxy phones from their online store, that is cheating.

    • +1

Sorry, but how is it cheating? They never said $200 off a Galaxy phone, they said $200 off a phone from Allphones.

      • +1

You know what he means. :)

        • I thought they reserve the right to sell any item to you or withdraw from selling it. Unless they make an offer to you, you accept and they acknowledge, the have no legal obligation to even display the items on the website.

But we can all agree it is unethical of them to do such a thing, being the ozbargainers we are

    • +6

"Some of you have queried the availability of certain handsets. While we have sold out of quite a number during the Christmas period, we will be getting new handsets in over the New Year."

Straight from the horse's mouth. No cheating involved by anybody except the losers that tried to get more out of the deal than they're entitled to.

  • Got my Samsung Galaxy S2 a couple hours ago! Everything's all good. Thanks for everyone's help.

    • +1

      Cool

  • +1

Just out of curiosity, what happened to the orders <$300? particularly the 95cent ones lol. Refunds?

    • Pretty sure they would've just cancelled it.

They didn't actually take anyone's money. They only took it out when you actually got your phone. With me I got the phone the day before they took out the money.

      • Hi, how do you know they took the money? Did it show in your bank account history? They charged me on the day I placed the order. Thanks

        • It seems like most of those charges were reversed, then recharged upon them actually delivering the phones.

        • Yeah, pretty much what Domingo said.

  • +1

How long does allphones take to verify my code after i have filled out the form?? thanks anyone who replied.

    • I have not received any confirmation either after filling the form but I dont raise my hope to high these days.

      • me neither

        • They may be in a pickle if they try to avoid their offer?

There does not seem to be any haste to restock even though their retail stores have plenty of stock of what they "sold out" of almost 3 weeks ago now.

Maybe they are hoping the longer it is delayed more will just give up and forget it?

    • +1

me neither. By the way what use is code if there is nothing to buy on their site (only crap phones).

    • I have also not received any confirmation yet, but I am hoping they would honor my code as it was a valid one. And someone else suggested, I am hoping they will have more/better phones after the new year.

  • Has anyone who had sent in their voucher and confirmation email and got a approval call from allphones before the xmas break, recieve their phone yet ?

    • I sent in my confirmation and voucher email on Wednesday. Got a call on Thursday morning. Got the phone on Friday.

      • Galaxy s ii ?

        • Yeah, Galaxy S2.

      • Ahh lucky ! Damn allphones wheres my s2 . Where are u located ?

        • Sydney. Location shouldn't matter. Have you given them a call?

  • got my GS2 but it had 2 Samsung security seal on it with the first one broken and one more over it, will call them on Tuesday. It looks like a refurb item…not happy…

  • No new phones on website yet. I am hoping the get something new soon.

    • +2

Called Allphones today and enquired about buying a particular phone online that had been removed a couple of days after the promotion began. Initially the csr said sure, sure, we have pleanty of those and was all keen to do the deal.

…. but when I mentioned I have a genuine code the story changed.

The final line was the phones that were available and no longer appear were only a set quantity for the ""promotion"".

So it seems as though the "good deal" phones may not appear until 01/02/12????????

As to their previous promise of getting new stock in…??

      • why u think 01/02/12? and not sooner?
        cheers!
p.s. thanks for sharing the info

        • +1

          Hi Drexx… error… it should read…
"So it seems as though the "good deal" phones may not appear until 01/03/12?????"
I say this as the coupons expire 29/2/12 if not used.
          Cheers..

      • Your comment about this seems to have disappeared from Allphones facebook.
I noticed because I keep looking there for any sort of update on progress for those with genuine codes. I'm in the same position as you.

The promo itself was poorly set up. Early comments from Allphones were promising but the lack of communication since and removal of most wanted phones doesn't fill me with confidence.

Very frustrating. Because of this promo I promised a phone as a Christmas gift. May end up being a very expensive gift.

        • +3

Because of this promo I promised a phone as a Christmas gift.

Tell your gift recipient that your promise has been suspended because:
          1. your outsourced promo shop stuffed up,
          2. your IT people stuffed up,
          3. there has been many fraudulent claims on your promise,
          4. you ran out of stock,
          5. you have the right to suspend your promise in accordance to your terms and conditions.

Of course you will be honour your promise, but:
          1. you will need to restock first,
          2. to guard against fraud, please fill out this form and wait patiently,
          3. your promise expires 29/2/2012,
          4. you will keep quite and keep a low profile,
          5. you hope people will forget your promise and that it will be over very soon,
          6. honour your promise with depleted stock on 11:59 PM, 29/2/2012.

        • The question/post on their facebook page is still there Snuff. Just below the job application from the guy from PNG :-)

As expected there is no answer…

Mod… as this saga will go on for a while yet could it be moved to the forum section so memebers can comment?

  • Wow, can't believe I missed this!!! what a deal!!!

  • Still no confirmation of my legit code after filling in the form. This plus pulling all the decent phones… death by 1000 cuts.

    • You know what, f*ck this deal; Still waiting for them to reply back; I was going to buy Galaxy S2.
But now that the King phone is only a month or so away; I am glad that I haven't bought S2 already.
      http://crave.cnet.co.uk/mobiles/samsung-galaxy-s3-here-febru…

      • Samsung will announce the S3 at Mobile World Congress in February, BGR reports. As well as some pretty awesome specs — including a 720p screen, quad-core processor, Ice Cream Sandwich and all the rest — it's also rumoured to have 3D, which will integrate it with enabled TVs.

The Hobbit has also been announced and that's close to a year away.

  • Can I get a summary of what the deal is now please? Without having to read 11 pages.
    I have a legit code.
