  • Used to own a delightful 280Zx (with T-bar roof) once-upon-a-time. Great car and lineage.

  • So did 200 people purchase the vehicle?

    • wowsers! 1 year's worth of sales in 1 day

If you can't get 5% off the list price of a new car you are not trying.

Expect to get 10% off the list price of a new car if you know how to bargain.

If the manufacturer is having trouble moving a particular model you can get up to 15% off the list price.

List price for a new car is not a bargain.

  • I was thinking about this car but the interior looks hideous.

How does this have so many upvotes? Is there a missing clause i'm missing? Like 0% finance with no application and monthly fees and the sales rep will cook you food for 1 month?

    • Thanks for asking the question I have been thinking in my head for days. I am at a total loss too! I thought most of us will want this to be $20k drive away to consider it a bargain????

  • Nissan 370Z MPG is approx. 22 mpg, http://www.fuelly.com/car/nissan/370z

    Tesla vehicles average ~100 mpg.

After 100,000 miles, you save around $20,000 in fuel cost, going by my slighty tipsy brain calc (alc-calc).

    • Your alc-cal has ignored purchase price and performance factors. You don't buy a performance car to save money on fuel.

      • Cost to replace Tesla batteries twice over the 100k miles (160k kms) would be close to $20,000. Net result is no real cost savings going by my calcs.

        • … and fewer places to charge now…

Listing a RRP price for something is against the very purpose of OzBargain, you and the other "people" who gave this an up vote should be ashamed

    • I don't understand why this post hasn't been deleted yet cause it's not a deal

    • Nobody should be ashamed of a freely held opinion.

      • @4sure: What about someone that prefers a 2.6 Magna, or the weapon that preceded it, the Sigma with it's big-block 4-pot Astron 2600?

Should there really be no shame?

      • Everybody is entitled to my opinion.

Is this like a NES Mini? I didn't think these were too hard to come by, and now we are excited about RRP drops? No Bargain when you consider the cost, if you want a drop top you can get two MX5 for the same coin.

Negging because it's the normal retail price. Also 200+ votes from mindless upvoters? This is just like those price jacking eBay deals with no actual deals. I wish OzBargain had more quality control. There should be a rule that you can only vote positive if you leave a comment. I would really like to see 200 peoples justification on how normal retail price of this car is a bargain and I doubt a single person bought one.
