I actually wanted to use this to buy a gift for dad but I'm not sure which stores have raised their prices.

    Guess i won't be using this ;(

    • +3

You're not missing out on much. Just use the money and take him out for lunch or dinner :-)

    • What matters is the final price you pay. If you're still getting a discount, you'll still be ahead.

  • -1

Might be good to stock on some gift cards!

  • Fantastic. New Clothes Dryer coming our way. Fortunately Good Guys hadn't bumped their prices so got a great discount over in store prices.

  • New Xbox One 'Covert Forces' controller with the redesigned shoulder buttons + 3.5mm headset jack (don't need the adaptor) is available from Target for $63.20 delivered with the discount, just grabbed a spare controller myself!

Seems to be the cheapest price for the redesigned controller. As far as I can tell the price hasn't been bumped up for the sale

    • Not to be confused with the elite.

      • Yes that was very confusing when I was first looking into it!

I have it purely for use on PC, eagerly awaiting the wireless adaptor so I can ditch the cables

        • +1

          math doesn't work like that.

        • +3

          @aurotaro:

he's right though.. cashrewards calculates it from the original price not the discounted price..

          so why was he negged?

        • +1

@CVonC: Hmm wow you're right. Forgot about Cashrewards calculating that way. That's probably why he got negged because me and other people probably thought of it as calculating from the discounted price.

          Neg revoked!

edit: "Votes older than 1 hour cannot be revoked"
I had no idea. I'm sorry.

  • CTREAT20 works for me when I bought a Outbac air compressor. Price is $119 as it has been for the last week, now down to 95ish.

In my case all items have been the same price for a while, and almost the same as Bunnings,

Hopefully we get a 16% sale on the 8th September on all items on EBAY - http://media.ebay.com.au/ebay-celebrates-15-years-australia

  • I am buying a GPS from Good Guys. Is the option to buy additional warranty available on Ebay?

    • +2

      Never bother buying additional warranty.

      • The current one's charging port has become loose and won't charge. The warranty expired few months ago and I can't fix it. So, i have to buy a new one now. Would be better if I have bought extended warranty. It would be lot cheaper than buying a new one or even the repair cost.

        • +2

How old is it? You might be able to negotiate repairs under the ACCC consumer laws.

        • +1

          They should still fix it.

        • +2

Why not do what everyone else does now - just buy an android phone for $200 that has a full-featured GPS (plus all your books and movies and music and so on)?

    • +2

people still buy standalone GPS these days huh..

      • They'd be great for work and non-tech-savvy people. It's easier to just buy a standalone GPS for them to use rather than a phone, registering it to someone's gmail/windows account to be able to download apps, and making sure they know how to find and run the right app amongst the sea of icons. Standalone GPSes will have larger, brighter screens and louder speakers too.

  • Just saved $270 on an espresso machine + grinder Thanks OP!

  • +2

Bought this for ~$1030 to use as a computer monitor: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-UA40JU6400W-40-102cm-UHD-… It apparently supports 4k@60hz with 4:4:4 8-bit chroma, and in game mode the input latency is fairly low (~25ms iirc)

    • Quite envious of that. Hope it works out. Check out tftcentral, hardforum and maybe avforums to find good calibration settings for the best picture and lowest input lag. What graphics card is going to be driving the screen?

      • I'll be using a GTX 970. So not grunty enough to drive many games on high/ultra settings at native res, but it should do alright at lower settings and on older/less demanding games.

I'm a little worried about the size, but my desk is fairly deep, so it should be ok with it pushed all the way to the back.

  • Toss up between Miele S8 v/s Electrolux ZUF4201OR UltraFlex Allergy

    reviews for both are good

    399/349 before discount.
    bagged/bag less

    Help me finalize please

Also looking for Samsung 3d active glasses, suggest where to get it cheaper

    • +1

No comment regarding Electrolux, but I'm a big fan of Miele and would happily go with their products again.

    • you're not a true Ozbargainer unless you go bagless.

  • Bought an LG GB-450UPL fridge from The Good Guys.
It was $1399 during the VIP period and dropped to $1357 late afternoon yesterday.
Saved $271.40 with the code and another $33.92 with CashRewards.

Very happy with the price, cheapest I could find prior to this sale was $1354 from Appliances Online.

  • Just got these items on two separate transactions. Awesome discount thanks OP!

Dell Monitor Ultrasharp 34" Curved Monitor
    Normal $1368.99
    Discount $1095.19

Gigabyte GTX 970 4GB DDR5 Gaming Graphics Video Card (bit disappointed that Futu AKA Shopping Express have a premium price on these cards compared to other sellers).
    Normal $570
    Discount $456

    Total Saving $387.

    • Nice, wish there was MSI gtx 970

      • -2

That's why he bought them in two separate transactions.

      • wanna buy mine lol?

  • Hmm, was looking to buy a pair of SteelSeries Siberia V3 headphones from Kogan.

Went to website and saw them for $107, not realising it was eBay only for the promo code. Checked them on eBay store, $135.

Rough figures but 20% off $135 is too close to $107 for my liking..

    • Yeah…. same thing. Was looking at shoes. Price on eBay after discount is the same as on their website. Very disappointing.

      • I sent a email to their support asking for a reason in the price difference.

Got the usual scripted response about eBay fees attracting a higher price but they will pass on my feedback to management. Did his best not to discuss the near exact 20% markup..

        • They should force a price freeze a week before these promotions. That way, shops can chose to lose a little during the promo, or make no sales the week prior due to inflated prices.

  • Breville day. Bought a Smart Oven Pro from Good Guys (pick up) and a Wizz Pro from Bing Lee ($5 delivery). $580. 💸

    • Hey buddy, I'm thinking of replacing my microwave I've had for 6 years now and almost carked it about 2 years ago but then started working again. Can this bad boy do simple microwave stuff like heat up a cup of milk?

      • +1

        It's not a microwave.

  • Guys, by one transaction does this coupon mean one transaction per store? It's allowed me to buy from Target and Kogan with a combined discount of over $300

    • seems like the coupon is applied by ebay. Guessing they track via your ebay account

    • +1

Max 3 transactions from ANY store listed.

      • Can you buy from mixed stores?, like a few items from store A and some from store B, add all to cart (under 10 items/$300 max) and pay in one go/transaction?

        • +2

          Yes you can

  • +1

Nintendo Wii U 32GB Premium Console + Splatoon Game Bundle for $287 from target with coupon.

    ~$280 with cash rewards.

    Thats a decent price.

  • Any good slim external hard drives in this sale?

  • Any good portable HDDs for use with an xbox one?
I tried looking yesterday but none that seemed to be amazing bargains.

  • What are the good laptop deals?

    • I just bought this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/231048403212?_trksid=p2057872.m27… for my son. I've been hanging out for a good buy.
HP 250 G4 (current model) with an i5 5200U CPU and coming in at just over the G4 with i3 4005U CPU from MSY it's a steal.
Added an SSD and it should be a great notebook to last him out his stint at Uni.

  • +14

The OP should be updated to reflect the slight differences between the VIP (expired) and General offers.

Discount is available for up to 3 transactions for the General offer (was one transaction for the VIP offer).

Terms & Conditions for the General offer:
    http://pages2.ebay.com.au/Buyer_coupons/treat20

3 . The offer entitles you to a 20% discount off the purchase price for up to 3 transactions (excluding postage) at Participating Stores on eBay.com.au during the Offer Period, up to a maximum discount of $300 per transaction.

6 . The total discount is capped at $300 per transaction.

7 . Only 3 transactions per person during the Offer Period.

    • +1

Oh no, this is bad news for my wallet!
Thanks for the clarification regarding multiple transactions.

  • any good electric oven on sale?

  • No paint in the Masters Ebay store?

    • +1

No paint, no timber, no cement. A lot of the trade stuff they don't put on ebay.

      • +1

Perhaps a new garden shed then.

  • Was going to buy an Electrolux Ultraflex Animal Pro anyways! Saved 20% with Masters + 2.5% cashback.

    SOOOOOOO HAPPYYYY!

    • @Bulkie, why electrolux?

      • I've had 2 Dysons. Whilst the handhelds were good, I found the barrels to be really bad. Just thought I'd give the Ultraflex a go since it's had rave reviews all over. Pricing is very decent as well.

        • Cool, thank you.

i picked the Miele S8, took it home and tried a patch of carpet which was dirty and my other vaccum wasnt cleaning it well.

I was happy to see Miele clean it :)

        • Ye I was tossing between this or the Miele S8 too. Glad it worked out for you!

  • +3

dang! was about to pull trigger on a Sony A7II from Ted's, pretty good deal with 20%, then $300 cashback, then was going to get TRS refund.. theyve taken it off their listings … mega sad face.
