I see most PC deals are from Melbourne but I don't want one shipped and risk damage and the resulting issues, as has been seen lately.

I have read some negative reports this OS is basically for smartphone/touchscreen tech and have been reluctant to go near it, being so used to XP.

Speaking of Ext HDD's. I wonder if anybody has knowledge if a vertical HDD puts less load on the moving parts that a horizontal HDD - given the vertical is not subject to gravity pull?
