Hi OzBargain,

Overwhelming support on our RX 9070 XT deal, thank you! The RX 9070 XT in our opinion, is the absolute best value 1440P GPU on the market today. Today's market is tough with shortages and price increases all around, we've done our absolute best to bring the best value 1080P rigs without breaking the bank. To my understanding, the best priced systems for the configurations on the market in Australia. With 32GBs of RGB RAM and an AM5 CPU system as the default configuration, it doesn't get better than this.

  • I'm getting 404 not found for both builds - sorry.

    • Fixed sorry, typo in the product URL. Thank you for pointing that out :).

Old wrong URL will redirect to now the correct one as well.

  • Whats the whole story with 4060 only have 8 lanes or whatever. Im stupid and dont understand the "science"

    • The RTX 4060 only has 8 PCIe lanes instead of the usual 16, but for most people it’s not a big deal. Performance will be almost identical to a full x16 card. On a PCIe 4.0 motherboard - no big deal, performance is basically the same.

    • +1

The 4060/Ti (more specifically, the AD106/AD107) doesn't have enough performance to warrant the use of another 8 PCIe lanes, which adds cost to the manufacturing process.
This means it performs identically on both 8-lane and 16-lane PCIe slots.

    • -1

RTX 4060 supports PCIe gen 4 x8. PCIe gen 4 x8 has the same bandwidth as PCIe gen 3 x16 so it is a non issue for a system that runs PCIe gen 4. It is generally not a big issue even if you run it in PCIe gen 3 x8 mode though on some games, you do lose a bit of performance. Reason for nVidia and AMD doing this: cost saving.

For PC motherboards supporting PCIe bifurcation, the x16 slot can be configured to run in x8 x8 mode. If you do crypto mining, that setup allows you to use 2 RTX 4060 cards (you do need to get a splitter card, unless the motherboard itself has multiple x16 slots and can have 2 of them both operating in x8 mode). However, you can run x16 graphics card in x8 mode as well.

  • When updating the Case to 'MSI MAG FORGE 120A', shouldn't the case fans also be updated to be 6 fans?

    Pre-installed Fan Size
    Front: 3 x 120 mm
    Top: 2 x 120 mm
    Rear: 1 x 120 mm

But the case fans section is only updated to 3 Antec Stock fans?

    • +2

Wrong configuration, too many cases added in a short time. Case will come with the default stock fans - please ignore the Antec fans.

      Edit: Has been fixed.

Any chance that GPU could include 4070 or 4070s?

    • None available for a good price unfortunately. Essentially end of life now to my understanding.

  • Any similar with a 4070?

  • code doesn't work

    • It works, the system has been a bit slow to recognise new custom builds. Please give it a few minutes and try OZB_HYDRIX_$500OFF again.

  • Can i get a price on this system

Unfortunately won't be OzBargain style pricing for an ITX rig like this, very tough with limited stock and costs.

  • do you have the 4060 ti 16gb version.

    • No sorry, unfortunately not very popular for OzBargain. Very few use cases require it.

  • Hi OP,
I'm thinking to get my son his first gaming PC for his upcoming birthday but I don't know much about gaming PC.
I have my eyes on this RTX 4060 Ti @$1328 but I also see you have another deal 7500F, RX 7800XT @$1448. Just wondering whether it is worth to spend extra $120 to get the RX 7800XT instead? Will this make a big difference in performance (and values) in general and perhaps last longer for the next few years without the need to upgrade? My son is not a heavy gamer or anything like that, I know he play Roblox, he also likes Fortnite, Vallorant and occasionally does some video editing, youtube etc…
Also, I will need the PC around mid-April, do you think i should buy now or wait until next month for potentially a better deal (if any)?
Thanks in advance for the advice!

    • Yes, the 7800 XT is worth it over the 4060 Ti build, but with those games your kid is playing you can spring for one of the sub $1K RTX 4060 builds and that will work fine too

      • +1

Great! Oh good to know, Thanks a lot mate

    • +1

      Hi,

It will depend on your budget, the 7800XT rig is great for 1440P gaming and is more future proofed for when your Son might want to play more demanding titles. For performance per dollar you are better off with the 7800XT rig, however if you're on a budget the RTX 4060 rigs will also be fine for his current use cases.

I can't predict the future for pricing and future deals, there are too many factors. The best advice I can give it please buy when you are ready to buy :).

      Lawrence

      • OK, thanks Lawrence, I will think about it, but sounds like 4060 is enough for my son's need. I don't mind paying a little more for 7800XT but at the same time I don't want to pay for something that he probably never get to use (at least for now). Anyway, good info for me to do some thinking before pulling the trigger. Cheers

        • Just take note of the resolution of monitor you guys have, 4060 is a bit handicapped at 1440p due to only having 8Gb of RAM. (It's optimal at 1080).

          • @giordan0: Oh ok, that's good point, thanks for the heads up giordan

  • Any pc's with no rgb? I like gaming in the dark.

    • You can choose a different case.

    • +1

Can turn off the lighting with software for RAM and the rear fan with the LED button on the case for the N3 rendering it having no RGB at all :).

  • Non-tech savvy looking for advices please. Looking to replace an old all-in-one with a desktop or laptop for video editing (1080p or 1440p) and for office work using Windows. Not interested to play games but thought a gaming pc would handle video editing tasks well. Budget below $1500. Which ones listed above suits? All Nebula’s computers built with new components? (New to Nebula, no offence please).
Thank you in advance for any advices.

    • +1

All good! I would recommend a system from our workstation deal here - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/891923.

The 9700X would be a great all rounder for video editing.

All components are brand new, we have no interest in using second hand or refurbished components as it'll only create more issues with warranty. We provide 3 years return to base warranty and lifetime support for all purchases.
