Any chance of a 9800X3D BYO GPU deal similar to the 7800X3D deal?

    • Only 7800X3D at this stage sorry.

      • Worth checking :) I'll hold on with bated breath

  • +2

I hope AMD lowers the price of the AM5 8500G soon… we need cheap entry level AM5 CPU's

    • Seems like they released the 7400F (underclocked 7500F) in China recently, around $20 cheaper from what I've seen.

      • +1

NO iGPU so its not really a good workstation AM5 System option

  • +4

Any 4070 super deals on the way?

  • -1

Can you still watch YouTube/Netflix without a GPU?

    • +2

Should be no issue, maybe if you want to watch 4k? The integrated graphics chip should be enoguh for basic web browsing, watching videos and productivity.

      • +9

With a modern cpu like this one, 4k should play fine without a gpu

        • +18

Some of these "can I watch 4K on this" questions are just plain silly, and totally out of touch with reality.

I have a Ryzen 5600G PC. I also have a PC based on a AM1 motherboard with an Athlon 5350 (25W, 4 core 2.05GHz) released in 2014. The 5600G has 7x the CPU and video speed of the 5350. Seven times. And I can and do watch 4K video on the 5350. Gees, you can probably watch 4K on a Rasberry Pi.

          • +3

@GordonD: It's funny isn't it. Similar to "I do a little photo and video editing of kids birthday parties, do I need a fully specced out Mac Studio?".
You could do this on entry level hardware 15 years ago.

  • +1

Not much more discounted vs PC part picker compared to your older 4060 deals. Am I missing something? was waiting for a 4060 deal to drop after 5000 series released but am a little thrown off by this. Sorry if I missed something

    • +5

Not much unfortunately, current FX with USD isn't the greatest with the new stock. With no GPU, savings are smaller as well. Prices will likely go up after old stock phases out. This is currently the best offering as of today.

Hi need about 4x of the basic $468 model, is that possible? Opening a new mechanic shop

    • +1

Yes, is this for pick up or delivery? For delivery will need to make four separate orders as the labour time, freight and packing material is fourfold.

  • +2

why do they always give you crappy motherboards? the first one has a bloody DVI port on it!!

    • +12

So we can provide a bargain for OzBargain brother!

    • +5

Oh good spot, it doesn't have any displayport at all. That's unfortunate.

    • +2

Dvi is digital just get an adaptor?

      • Crappy resolution and refresh rate using DVI. Speaking from experience here. I bought one of these for my wife's business and discovered only one HDMI output on the board.

If you want to run two screens from one of these factor in a cheap GPU. Otherwise look elsewhere.

  • Could anyone let me know about the $468 item..as someone who isn't overly computer literate.

Would this suffice for my partner who is a teacher? Basic word/ppt/emails and probably some youtube/online shopping in the background. Any hidden costs I would need to consider e.g. wifi card/windows key etc?

Looks solid from what I can tell, very interested.

    • +2

Yes, for basic work it'll suffice.

No Wi-Fi on the base configuration, you will need to use wired ethernet if you plan on not using Wi-Fi. Otherwise, you'll need an upgraded motherboard or a USB Wi-Fi dongle or any other method you prefer. No operating system on it either, you will need to install your own operating system.

    • Yes, it's fine for basic computing (office, Google docs, etc). and I have one of my schoolkids use it for gaming as well (Roblox). The only thing you need to add is Wifi and that can be a USB one at < $20. It's usually plug and play so need to install anything on Windows 10 or 11. It'll play Netflix and Youtube fin

  • Can the 5600G run Microsoft Paint?

    • -5

The 5600G can run Microsoft Paint Pro Plus 2000 :p

      It's Paint omfg 🙉
      Can it run Crysis? NO!
Can it run Windows 13 with TPM 5.0? NO!
Can u play fortnight? YES! Look at Calendar
Can it make up bullsh*t like me? YES! Try chatGPT, CO-piss, or deepseekthroat.

In short it's a good chip.

  • @OP what other storage drives this 5600G PC takes?
Does it take HDD & SSD both ?
    or just only M.2 SSD?

    • +2

Can install a 2.5" SSD or 3.5" HDD yes, the N2 case can support 1 of each maximum or 2x 2.5" SSDs.

  • +2

Patiently waiting for 9800x and 5080 deal. Not going through techfast past bad experience

    • +2

Do you mind sharing what that bad experience was?

      • probably this
doesn't sound like a common issue from them though.

        • Wow, sounds pretty isolated case.

My current work computer was from techfast. Other than weird fans placement, I think their stuff is OK.

We'll see how good Nebula's build quality compared to techfast in 2 weeks time.

        • My tech fast prebiilt came with a huge dent in the case and DOA

        • I had issues with my GPU on my Techfast build back in 2019 but have to say that their customer support was excellent and they sent out a replacement card.

Recently ordered a new build from Nebula that left their warehouse last week so hoping for it to arrive soon that will replace that system.

Thanks OP! I asked for the 9700X and you provided. Made 2 orders.

Yep this. Pretty sure there's like 50+ people on here waiting to snap that up, myself included.

  • Which one is better,

    • Gaming PCs: 7500F, RX 7800XT, 32GB CL32 6000Mz RAM, 1TB M.2: $1448

    or

    • Serenecore - MSI RTX 4060 OC - Ryzen 7 9700X $1528

    Thank you

    • +1

First option if gaming is top priority but still pretty good for everything else.

Second option if video editing, general use, productivity is priority with gaming lower priority. Hard to recommend as a gaming PC due to lower end GPU.

I suspect the top one is overall a better deal.

  • Nice deals, still eagerly awaiting on the higher end rigs from you guys <3

  • If I buy 2, do I only need to pay $50 shipping once? For the 5600G system

    • PSU - GAMDIAS HELIOS M1 550W 80+ Bronze (BRAND MAY VARY - primarily MSI A650BN and GIGABYTE P650SS)

Interested in the 5600G system, but could anyone clarify what this actually means?
Yesterday I saw the GAMDIAS PSU in the base config, with the GB P650SS for an extra $20, no option for the MSI A650BN, now that I'm looking at it again, only the MSI 650BN is in the base config.

And what exactly is "Shipping Insurance" (Protect your order from shipping damage, loss, or theft) for an extra $7.06, sounds like something that should probably be included in the delivery price?

    • The clarification for PSU means you can one of two different models of Power Supply (Power for the whole system). Both rated 650W. One is GAMDIAS brand and the other is MSI brand. Both are Bronze which means a level of efficiency with higher efficiency models being Silver, Gold, Platinum (with associated higher pricing). At the end of the day the PSU will deliver 650W to the system.

Shipping insurance is on top of the actual shipping, most builders do include it in the 'shipping and handling' price but some do break it out itemised. Just total it all up and see if it's still worth it to you.

      • I think you may have misunderstood my concern, I'm not questioning the efficiency, I'm looking for clarification as to what we'll actually get.

On the first day of this deal, the GAMDIAS 550w (look at the deal, not 650w) was in the base config, the wording from the deal "brand may vary" seems to indicate the MSI and GB 650w will also be used in the base spec randomly or based on stock at hand. However that would be weird to lump the better branded and higher wattage 650w models with a generic 550w.

The MSI 650W was initially missing from any selection or mention on the first day from the configurator, but it has now seemingly replaced the GAMDIAS in the base config. The GAMDIAS 550w is now no longer mentioned on the configurator.

I'm not complaining if we at least get the MSI 650 at no extra cost, as that is a much better PSU than the GAMDIAS 550, I just want to be sure of what we're getting.

Who in their right mind would not pay the ~$7 that covers "shipping damage, loss, or theft" for such an expensive purchase though? Assuming the standard does not cover any of that at all…. It's just that it sounds like major component of a delivery that it may as well be added on and be +$57 delivery instead.

        • @Nebula PC

          Please clarify the above concerns.

Can you confirm if the MSI A650BN 650W is the PSU that will be used in all base 5600G systems from this deal?
That's the base PSU now shown on the configurator but the deal above still shows the GAMDIAS HELIOS M1 550W as the supposed base.

Could you also clarify what actually happens if "shipping damage, loss, or theft" occurs if we don't pay the extra for the shipping insurance?
Does it actually mean that if my PC arrives smashed to bits or it gets "stolen" during transit, you won't be able to do anything?

          • @Gazette: PSU used will vary from GAMDIAS HELIOS M1 550W, MSI A650BN 650W and GIGABYTE P650SS 650W depending on stock availability. If you would like to confirm the exact model please contact us before purchasing and we will let you know what it will most likely be.

It means we will be able to utilise the courier's extra coverage and expedite the claims process. Without it, the courier only covers a small amount.

  • Is it possible to use a 4090 that I already own with the workstation?

    • Yes, please check the dimensions and ensure it'll fit in your BYO system configuration.

  • Has anyone ever had any issues with contacting Nebula directly?

Sent an email a week ago regarding an prder with no answer and the phone has just rung out a couple of times

    • +1

Highly unlikely we haven't responded, this is monitored extremely closely every day. All missed calls are called back during business hours. The response might've gone to spam, otherwise please PM me your email and I'll look into it immediately. Will resolve this right away.

  • Could you do a deal on just the CPU, RAM and MB?

    • Unlikely as won't be OzBargain worthy however will consider this if there is enough demand.

      • Possible even to DM me an offer? It’s the exact models I’m looking for but I have a case, PSU and SSD from old build

        Particularly the 5600g model

        • +1

I can't start DMs on OzBargain.

          Edit: Nevermind, got your PM.
