  • What's the lowest PSU wattage I could safely get away with for a RTX 3080 10GB if I choose the 7800X3D option?

    • I would say 650W is pushing it but possible and may need some tinkering. I would say 750W is ideal.

      • Thanks.

      • I'm about to buy with the 850w psu (to be safe) but I have a couple of questions. What is the approx weight of the unit and can you please include the M.2 screws so that I can add a second SSD?

        • +1

I don't have the exact approximate weight, this will depend on your configuration so I can't provide it sorry. Yes, all spare parts like M.2 screws that come with your components will be provided.

  • +7

Nice deals. Will you be doing any such BYO GPU builds with the 9800X3D?

    • I'd be keen for this, either that or 9700X for my work computer

      • +2

Potentially with 9700X however I would assume demand is quite low, it's a higher-end CPU and typically not required for light office work. Of course this is general and your needs may be different.

        • -4

I'd be keen to know if you'll have 9700X build, preferrably with mobo that has 4x ram slot within $1500 budget. A plus if you can include a cheap-ish GPU with 4GB VRAM just to run 2 4k monitors (not too fussed about this one). My office will likely order 2 if there's one like that.

software engineer as profession, does a few compiling here and there. Office is looking to replace my 5800X build that's about 3 years old+ now.

          • +4

@juns: Will likely be a very unpopular combination for OzBargain, I would strongly recommend building yourself if possible as that budget is reasonable and you can achieve exactly what you want.

    • Not enough stock to run a deal unfortunately.

  • Is it possible to have the original boxes of components shipped too? (except for the case box)

    • +2

Yes, it will incur an additional freight cost. Some items come with no retail packaging, please send us your exact configuration and we will confirm what will come with packaging.

    • +2

Curious why you’d want this - is it for future resale if you sell items second hand?

      • +8

Yes, if i was to upgrade parts and so on. it helps for resale.

  • What are my chances of squeezing a Gigabyte Gaming 4070 ti into the Stratus 7800X3D???

NVM - i got my answer!!

    • +1

Yes, it should fit. Length won't be an issue nor the slots.

  • +2

FYI, in the configurator the GPU option has +$500 for the 4080S's. Guessing that's not meant to be there

    • +3

      That would be amazing though….

      • It's been changed now. But if you still have it in the cart, it shows the other price.

    • +6

Has been rectified, definitely a price error. Apologies for the error.

      • +1

Hi there - I note that upgrading to a higher tier cooling system comes at (for eg) +$100 for the AK500, which is more than the price for the whole unit, let alone the difference between this and the AG400. Is this an error, or is there substantial extra labour involved in the larger coolers?

  • Would this be ideal for a work computer? i run 4 screens

    • +2

You will need a dedicated GPU to run four screens, motherboards won't have enough ports to output 4 monitors. Any GPU with four ports will do provided you don't have any demanding GPU tasks and your monitors support the GPU ports.

  • Question for 7800x3d build, can I fit my gigabyte 3070ti in to the Lian Li case and will the power supply be sufficient for it? thanks!

    • +1

Yes, should be fine. Please do some additional research to be sure.

  • PSU - Gigabyte P650SS 650W 80+ Silver

Add $80 to every deal price for the upgraded MSI A750GL PSU

Gigabyte have never recovered from the exploding PSU debacle and outside of Nebula's 3 year system warranty, the 3 year warranty from Gigabyte on this PSU doesn't inspire confidence

No reviews on either PCPP or review sites after being released for 7 months is also a massive red flag

    • +3

Thank you for your feedback, we select our components carefully and use our internal data along with what we can gather. I can confidently tell you that the P650SS does not explode and does not have the issues reported years ago. It's a tier-one branded PSU and it has had the lowest failure rate with one of the largest sample spaces we have internally. I can't share our internal data, you will be surprised at what models fail.

      • +3

        Thanks for the response

Given you have only been installing the P650SS for 6 months, the story would be more compelling after another year and the PSU is halfway through its warranty period

As for "tier-one branded PSU", Gigabyte are delusional if that's what they are telling you for PSU's:

        A tier = 10 year warranty
        B tier = 7 year warranty
        C tier = 5 year warranty
        "Gigabyte tier 1" = 3 year warranty

        • Will do, thank you.

          • @Nebula PC:

you will be surprised at what models fail.

internal data on failure rates would be very interesting.
an anonymous post on one of the respected hardware sites' forums perhaps?

    • So far, the UD750 hasn’t exploded on me yet, and that’s with a 9800X3D and 4080S.
Although it was Nebula’s Gigabyte PC deal.

      • That would be a lot of GIGABYTE - motherboard, GPU, and PSU.

  • Any restrictions on GPU's based on the case size at all?

    • It depends

"The A3 m-ATX case accommodates a maximum CPU cooler height of 165mm and a 4-slot thick GPU with a maximum length of 415mm. Note that with a 25mm thick fan installed at the bottom, the GPU thickness will be limited to 61mm, allowing for only a 3-slot GPU. Additionally, when installing a radiator and fan combo, there will be no space for the GPU."

    • It's a massive case and can house most GPUs if you are referring to the A3, it can fit up to a 415mm GPU and 4 slots.

  • -2

Is it time for me to jump ship to AMD? Currently have a 9900K @ 5ghz but i reckon its bottlenecking the 3080. Thoughts chat?

    • How do you know it's bottlenecked? Are you not getting 100% utilisation from your GPU?

    • For gaming it'll be a massive improvement.

    • Yeah do it, you'll notice a massive difference if going to the 7800X3D

      • I'm rocking a 3070ti w/ a i5 11600kf, tempting to upgrade but with the games i play i don't really need too, but upgrading is always tempting.

  • Hey Nebula
Already says item out of stock with the 650M motherboard

  • -1

Could I use it for nas? How modify it? Thank you so much

    • Yes, however the 7800X3D might not be the best choice and the 7500F or 8700F options do not have an iGPU meaning you will be required to install a GPU to have a display.

      • -1

Thank you Nebula. How many bay could I have and how is the power consumption?
I like install fancy GPU but not sure about power consumption at idle and noise level.
Really like to have low power consumption and low noise at nas mode when GPU is not needed.
        Any suggestions mate?

        • How many bays you're after will depend on the case you choose.

Power consumption on idle and noise is near none as the fans won't operate if there is no load with these new models.

I suggest looking into how to create a NAS and go from there, likely the offerings here are not most suitable however may be if you plan to have other uses for it.

  • Is it worth getting this and finding a suitable GPU? Say second hand?
If so, what would you suggest?

    • +1

I would say that it depends, if you are okay with purchasing a second-hand GPU and the cost savings outweigh the potential hiccups then yes.

  • Hey Nebula, any chance of an option to swap to the 9700X over the 7800x3d?

    • +1

      Not for this deal, unfortunately.

      • Dang! Thanks for the quick response +

  • Good deal, any chance that you have any wood Lian Li DAN-A3 lying around?

    • Not many, if you're after it we can add it but will sell out immediately. Please let us know if you are ready to go ahead through live chat or email and we can organise it for you.

  • 5090 deals :)

    • +3

      :)

  • Hi Op, the 7500F and 8700F list case as "Nebula N2 mATX - Black", website lists "Lian Li DAN A3 mATX". Which one is the correct one?

    • The correct one is Nebula N2, the website will list Nebula N2 once you choose either 7500F or 8700F option.

  • why do anyone need GBU pc? What do you use it for? I guess its more useefule to data center and AI but is there a case where this power can be use for personnel use?

  • Any options to add a 4070 super instead of the 4080?

    • Not many OzBargain friendly options on hand, unfortunately.

  • Hi Lawrence, any option for 9000X series CPU?

    • Only 9800X3D at this stage.

  • Hey I've been slowly replacing parts and now I've got an i3 paired with a 4060 would the 7800 here be a good match for me to transplant my 4060 into?

    • +2

Yes if your usage is CPU gaming heavy you can take advantage of the 7800X3D, otherwise the CPU is quite powerful for the GPU. It will give you a great pathway to upgrade your GPU down the line if you wish.

  • Hi
Any deals for 4080 like Boxing Day coming back again

    • Not at this stage with the current FX.

    • This is a very fast-paced industry, and availability for stock and deals changes at any second. The information given at the time a few days ago was correct at the time, we had no plan to do a BYO GPU build, you can see my comments on previous deals consistent with this. However, this was only at that time. As much as I want to cater for all requirements there are numerous factors that that can affect feasibility and availability.

      • -4

can you guys do a better price for https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/vKC7v4 ? your upgrades cost over $2400 for these parts, its a rip off. sorry. when I can get for 1600 I need high end parts.

        • Although they do contradict themselves by saying it's not possible, the second half of their message does say they have the "zero" model available which has no gpu, and there's even a link to it. Chat support is always confused and unreliable everywhere, I wouldn't put stock in most of what they say, especially around things like future product strategy

            • -1

@Bojack420: Your comments are honestly bordering on the Karen line. The chat got it wrong, stuff happens mate move on. You do realise that mistakes can happen right?

  • -1

Awesome! Thank you for doing this. I was one who requested it. Browsing now to see which I'll go for…

    • 😁

    • +1

I'm sure quite a few people requested this

      • As I said, I was one who requested it, not the one who requested it :)

  • Whats the chance of you guys having a deal for a PC with the rtx 4090?

    • Unlikely at this stage.

  • -1

    Who is upvoting this? What?

    • +1

      Why's that? Isn't this good?

  • +2

As long as you upgrade the motherboard, case, ram, and PSU then they're great machines!

  • +1

Is it your intention to offer a PC case that is literally a glass oven?

  • Hey Lawrence,

What are the dimensions of the Nebula a2 case? How big of a GPu can fit?

    Thanks,

    • +1

N2 is a very small form factor case, it's only 29.5x19.5x39.5cm. Max GPU length is 28cms.

  • S 650W wont last long for a 5080. this is a shame. nothing for high end??

    • +2

You can upgrade the PSU in their configurator. I would just buy it, sell the PSU for $50 on facebook and put something better in when needs be (if you were going to put a 5080 in, then that would be straight away - but anything up to a 4080 should be fine with that PSU).

People really do like clutching their pearls over PSUs. I've only ever had one die (and I build 3-4 computers a month as a side hustle). My main PC is running a HX1000i that is probably at least 10 years old.

      • -2

then whats the point in buying this? i don't want to build it.

        • Don't buy it then….nobody has a gun to your head!

Just eyeballing the parts list, you'd struggle to build it for less than what Nebula are offering it for as a complete package. Well worth taking the 3 to 5 minutes to swap the PSU out if it was something you were genuinely concerned about.

          • @xyron: i notice upgrading the parts make it not a good deal? cause it cost a lot extra. and they also don't take Paypal for whatever reason

YEP such a bad deal. do not upgrade parts. https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/vKC7v4 parts I picked is only $1695.77 and from them cost me $2,407.00 AUD

            • @Rukiata: making me pay double for a $120 case. Antec P20CE ATX Mid Tower Case

              • +1

@Rukiata: yeah these deals only make sense if you want nearly all of the parts they are offering.

That looks like a pretty nice PC Part Picker list to me.

            • -1

@Rukiata: Put the code in and choose the different warranty? If you would've spent as much time on that page as you have spamming this comment section, you would've figured it out…

              • @RAVTagsta: Did you see the parts I picked at all?? With discount it's $2,056.00 this cost more then RRP still look at my pick list what price do you get??

  • +1

any plans on a RX 7800 XT build?
