Hi OzBargain,

Understand there is a high demand for higher-end rigs, but unfortunately, there is very little stock around to run an OzBargain deal. Today, we bring you some of the absolute best budget-value gaming rigs for 1080P at all-time lows. The RX 6500XT on PCIe4 performance is solid for its price point. To my understanding, there is nothing in the market for this price point and value. It is absolutely the lowest currently for all configurations. All systems with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as well ready to rock and roll.

What makes us different?

Would you happen to have any good deals for ITX builds with 4070s?

    • +1

Not at this stage, very rough with ITX components to run an OzBargain deal. Unlikely to get a 4070 S at this stage for an OzBargain deal as well unfortunately.

  • +26

GPU - Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT - 4GB

Anyone seriously considering these deals, stump up the extra $90 for the RX 6600 build

For Nebula to be recommending 4GB VRAM in a new 2025 build is diabolical

Even the worst gaming laptops have now shifted to 6GB because 4GB is just low res stutter city

    • -6

      i have the 6500xt and it's fine….

      • +13

        Yes we know

I have this PC and can play HALO INFINITE and Call of Duty Vanguard.

You bought your PC back in 2022 when 4GB VRAM was already borderline

In 2025, 4GB cards have not suddenly become relevant because of the current state of GPU pricing

    • 4 core CPU in 2025 is even more appalling

      • +8

Gaming is still very much single-threaded, so quad-core systems are still good if the single core performance is good.

      • +1

12100f isn't a bad CPU but if you want a good all round PC it should be a 12400f at minimum.

  • +3

Which is the better value pick here for 1080p gaming over the next couple of years? Was thinking of getting the 6600 but wondering if it's worth spending the extra for the 4060? Any advice would be much appreciated

Edit: to be more specific, the current use case would be play Spider-Man 2 at 1080p high settings and any similar upcoming releases

  • +4

I really wish the Dan A3 case upgrade didn't cost more than just buying the case by itself

I get this is a super cheap build, but it's a bit annoying. Is the Dan A3 hard to build in?

    • It isn't an ITX case, so shouldn't be hard to build it.

      • +2

The lack of cable management options means it takes a while to get it looking neat. Access to the mounted fans/radiator is very fiddly. Not an advanced build necessarily but it is a complex workflow.

    • +6

It does take more time to build in it due to the case design, the PSU is mounted at teh front and cable management is more time consuming unfortunately.

    • Same with the antec case. Costs $60 to upgrade to a $60 case :(

  • Benchmarks for Nexa?

  • It appears the Ryzen 5 5500 deal for $888 is better. But I guess these could appeal for buyers with limited budget.

  • -1

    Upgrading from 16GB (2x8GB) to 32GB (2x16GB) is $120?
This is supposed to be a budget build, and it would be cheaper to just gumtree the 2x8GB and independently buy 2x16GB

    • +4

That's your best bet. It makes sense with these builds - the margins are very tight, so they make up for it with upgrades.

    • +4

Maybe their business model is to sell you upgrades.

  • If your budget very low, this is ok. Just don't expect it can play 1080p high setting for newer AAA games. Especially 6500xt 4gb VRAM will has problems to run most new games at 1080p, get 6600xt for the extra VRAM and performance. 12100f is fine for very low budget, but
My idea budget PC CPU 5600, 5600x and 12400f (who doesn't has few apps running in background), GPU 6600xt and above for smoother 1080p gaming experience.

  • +1

Comparing to pre covid a $500 rig now is relatively much better. Even thou new high end parts are 2x than before.

  • Would my 2070 Super slot into one of these. And would it be better?

    • Depends on the length of your 2070 SUPER. Yes, 2070 SUPER seems to be better on paper compared to the RX 6500 XT.

  • +2

Mmm, not sure about this…. if you look at the deal's picture, the computer looks very concerned or scared… :p

  • Noob on budget here, i do research and have anything from 70 100 chrome tabs and when i open zoom my machine just dies , will the 32 gb model work for my requirements, basically need 100 tabs plus zoom plus whatsapp desktop plus multiple excel snd word docs open at the same time. Thanks

    • -1

You will need 32GBs of RAM, Chrome now has a memory saving feature that keeps tabs not being used to not use RAM. However, if those are your only needs and no graphically demanding tasks are required I would recommend our workstations here, one without a GPU - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/891923.

      • thanks which Ryzen and Intel CPU minimum would you suggest

        • +1

Would depend on your budget, for your work needs I'd recommend going as high as you can and have at least 32GBs of RAM.

Bought a pc from nebula last year. Glass case was cracked and it took 3 months to replace, and I missed out on the 2 free games promo advertised with it. Was told after the fact I was “eligible for it but it’s too late now, sorry”. PC is fine but pretty disappointing experience.

    • It shouldn't have taken 3 months to replace unless it was out of stock with the supplier and we were all in limbo, sometimes this can happen. Regarding the promotion AMD's redemption dates are often strict and tight and we aren't able to change this. The promotion is directly run by AMD and I can only apologise for this.

      • +1

I fully understand, just sharing my experience. When you sell a product advertising an AMD or other supplier promotion, you should expect you’re going to have disappointed customers if you don’t activate the promotions you advertise in time. I purchased the product well within the dates but it was an oversight on your part.

  • Hey mate! Any chance your shop would accept an Amex? This is literally the last thing stopping me from buying.

    • No chance anymore unfortunately, the payment processing fees with Amex are too high and these deals run extremely sharp in margin. The only way is to charge an additional payment processing fee which I don't want to do, we can send a payment link for you with this if you wish. Please email us at [email protected]

      • you could just apply a surcharge for however much amex is charging you? You're already charging $50 for delivery - what's another 20 bucks

        • To keep prices as low as possible we prefer not to and not accept Amex as a whole. $50 delivery only just covers the freight, packing and labour costs. Often it doesn't if delivery is to WA or rural/regional Australia. $20 is a fortune for OzBargain deals, they run extremely sharp. We can't afford this anymore unfortunately.

      • You're not forcing anyone to use the AMEX, but the option with the surcharge amount stated is always better.. just my opinion. You do you sir, good deals :) thank you

  • I was trying to get my buddy a PC on the cheap (his budget was 800) and was trying to find him something good for the money. I tried to find a pc that would beat the specs I picked out for him (i3, 6600, a750bn, ag400 rgb) for 700 and could not match that price building myself. Deal is so good might have to pick up a spare pc for my sim rig.

  • Hey OP! How long do you think the deal will be live? Nephew is looking to buy one of these in the next week or so.

    Cheers

    • Until we sell out 😁.

      • Thanks! Bought a 6600 + 12100f. He's pretty excited!

  • how i3-12100 compare with my son i5-8400, would that be a huge improvement as he complains about i5-8400 gaming often now.

    • What graphics card does your son have ? This is more important than the CPU.

    • In a nutshell minor improvement but try doing a fresh install of windows before a upgrade plus run games of a ssd if you aren’t already

    • A bit late but… you're welcome :)

      https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-8400-vs-…

You can also put in your config to compare it fully.

      • Don't use Userbenchmark as its is known for skewing results to favor Intel and Nvidia heavily. I would suggest using Passmark or 3Dmark results for a more fairer comparison of hardware.

  • Is Pick-up available to forgo the $50 delivery?

    Oh it's expired nvm

    • Yes, but deal is out of stock now sorry :(.
