any upcoming deals with 4080 super / 4090?

    • +1

If there is an opportunity for us yes.

      • What about 4070 super?

      • +1

Is there an opportunity for you? xD

        • +1

          I hope so 😁.

    • +3

4090 stock seems nonexistent, Nvidia stopped making them already and the only one on pcpartpicker is $5K.

    • Aren’t the 4060/Ti the only Ada GPUs being produced right now?

  • +4

Any 5080 9800x3d builds coming my goats

    • +9

Hoping for it also my bro.

      • 👀

  • +1

    5090 builds :D

Out up could just buy a house… costs about the same.

      • Have you looked at housing prices lately mate? It’s not rainbows and lollipops there either sorry to burst your bubble

  • +1

crazy how all of a sudden everyone is happy to buy a 4070ti or similar, where are all the smarties that were calling for HODL for all the 40xx deals late last year - wait for the new GPU they said - hows that going now lads?

    • +8

Cause the pricing + actual performance of the 5000 series sucks, to sum up lol

      • -2

they are getting smashed , they would beg for a nice 4080s now at $1500 like we had
5080 is for brain dead - 20% more fps - 30% more power - nice one NVIDIA

    • here’s some chips with all your salt

  • any deals in the sub $1000 mark?

  • +1

    Any itx builds?
    Pretty please

    • +1

Very hard with the increased cost on ITX components.

      • +1

I've done my head in the last 3 weeks trying to come up with one that is budget friendly. Don't care if it's AM4. Just wanted something that could do light gaming, but no luck.

        • +3

We're in the same boat, it's very difficult unfortunately.

          • -3

@Nebula PC: I'm counting on you guys to pull a rabbit out of the hat

            • +4

@aman215: You can have two of the following three:

              • Budget-friendly
              • Powerful
              • Small

You can't have all of them. If you want small and powerful, expect to pay. I bought a really damn good custom ITX system from them - it's pricy, but you get exactly what you pay for, and the service is excellent.

              • @dm02: Never said powerful; for a reason.

        • +1

Kraken Mini Nuke is a tiny package if you're happy with a 12700 and 4060 for approx $1k.

          • @Hybroid: You can even buy the kraken mini nuke without a gpu in it for around 600 something dollars from memory. And then slot in a used gpu around the 400-500 dollar mark. Sometimes you can snag some real deals for rx 6800 gpus at that price range.

    • It's not ITX but the Lian Li DAN A3 case offered in the BYO GPU deal is very compact. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/891006

  • Do you do mini PCs? I’m looking at something out for work, but can output 2 x 4k@60hz via daisy chain. One connection to pc to monitor via usbc

  • You guys really do some amazing deals. When I get the cash to buy my kids a gaming pc I know where I’m coming. This 7800xt deal looks perfect for them.

    • 😁❤️

  • anymore deals similar to your 4070ti super :)

    • Yes, 4070 ti super deal plz

      • Not at this stage. Your best option would be the 7800XT currently.

  • PCIe 3 motherboard and 4060ti? Won't this bottleneck it?

    • No, a negligible difference.

  • any deals on ryzen 3000 or 2000 series? after a good deal on a new 2600 build…

    • Not possible sorry, it's end of life. Your best option would be to try the second hand market.

  • Best value deal for solid 4K gaming?

  • 4060 Ti vs 7800XT, which one is better?, beside playing games, will this be good for doing 3D CAD as well?

    • -2

7800XT for sure, the extra VRAM will do wonders.

  • How does this compare to the evatech deal from the other day?
It seems this one has a stronger gpu but a different CPU and less ram .
Still.trying to learn how different components effect the outcome when gaming

    • +1

I haven't been in the PC building space for 15 years, so was curious about this too, as I had just pulled the trigger on the evatech deal last week.

I ran all 3 configurations through this basic 'Rate my PC function' on this site, which only asks for the key components of OS, CPU, GPU and RAM.

The Nebula Cortex with the RX 7800 scored 94%
The Nebula Cortex with the RTX 4060ti came out at 93%
The Evatech with the RTX 4060 (which is now sold out anyway) came out at 94% as well

So basically very similar. Will probably come down to what games you play, and at the end of the day the difference is not going to be noticeable.

      • +1

Thanks for sharing the resource and the information. I don't feel so bad about kidding out on the evatech deal now.
        Enjoy your new rig

  • Will the above build play GT6?

    • Yes, the recommended specs for GTA6 is not that high and these systems surpass them to my knowledge.

      • Given there are no published Recommended specs for GTA 6, that is a fairly impossible statement to make at this point.

  • One last question would amd or nvidia better for Steam OS.

    • AMD for sure.

Gamescope, the compositor that runs the Game Mode part of SteamOS, currently doesn't play well with Nvidia drivers.

Bazzite, a popular (and excellent) Linux distro that incorporates Gamescope in its Handheld/HTPC image, is working on support for Nvidia but it's still in beta.

  • Hello guys,
Is there any seller who allows Afterpay payments?
As a student I can’t pay in full at once.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    • It's impossible considering the razor sharp margins on these deals, it's not possible to do them with Afterpay fees as they will just be passed onto the buyer as additional cost. They charge upwards of 10% to us rendering no bargain.

  • Interested in the 7800XT but not the DDR4 RAM, is there a reasonably priced alternative available?
Assuming the motherboard is what's dictating DDR4 vs 5.
