    • I can only think of the $100 loyalty discount, not sure if they're still doing that.

But that's still pretty far off from $900 for the S24U.

    • +1

last year when the S24 series became available I received another email from Samsung with the generic code that I already knew

PLUS there was another code in there for further $200 off

it said "To say thank you for being a loyal customer here's a gift of our appreciation, a $200 bonus value2 to purchase the new Galaxy S24 Ultra when you trade‑in your old eligible device."

I hope there will be something like this too. so like $200 with the GALAXY2025, plus this $20 eVoucher, plus hopefully another loyalty in-mail thing from Samsung. then I'll see what things come down to. I still have the Watch6 Classic LTE that I don't really use - battery life is a shockerrrr, I "upgraded" to Galaxy Fit3 and never looked back lol. I will trade in the watch, send it in, and sell current phone separately. if I decide to upgrade that is. which I might if the deal looks good. somehow I doubt this year

    • +1

The trade in bonus is the big one. Usually $500 plus the value of your trade in device (assuming you send it in). It will stack with these discounts.

    • Where you guys read information on $200 off genwric value + $100 exclusive? On their website it just says that voucher will go up to $100. No mention of $200 anywhere. Am I missing something?

  • With the $20 voucher, it says you can use it with Edu/EPP but I wonder if it'll actually stack with the pre-order offers though. Those ones usually have some clause which excludes all other offers (and enforced by the website's ecommerce rules). It'd be pretty douchy of Samsung to say that it can be used but then block it from being used. Anyway, it's a $20 bet on an $80 discount…

    • +4

last time it did, I ordered my S24U from EPP, and everything applied fine there

      • Was that the standard 30% or the 40/50% offer? The standard offer doesn't usually require any code so you can stack, but the higher discount is usually via a code which isn't stackable?

        • +4

hard to say now. I got this in my Jan24 invoice:

Your $250 bonus trade-in has been applied to your Galaxy S24 Series device, along with your eligible trade-in device value. Offer ends 15.02.24. Promotion was applied to your order total
Your $200 bonus trade-in has been applied to your Galaxy S24 Series device, along with your eligible trade-in device value. Offer ends 06.02.24. Promotion was applied to your order total
Your $200 ecosystem eVoucher discount has been applied to your cart total. Offer ends 21.01.24 5:00AM AEDT.
Your $150 ecosystem eVoucher discount has been applied to your cart total. Offer ends 06.02.24. Promotion was applied to your order total

But I can't remember which ones of those I had to apply as a code. I think the eVoucher was a code, and one of those bonus trade ins was a code. so at least 2 codes. I didn't bother with newsletter or other crap codes. since I don't think they'd apply to EPP anyways

          • @shabaka: Yeah I think that looks like the earlier one. I was holding out for the higher discount (issued later) and missed out on the immediate launch offers. In the end, it worked out about same-same (initial offer was slightly better) so I'm hoping it'll be the same this year and I won't wait around for a better offer to come along.

Anyway, we'll see. Good luck to everyone :-)

          • @shabaka: If we have the same $450 trade in bonus this year, plus the generic $200 eVoucher plus the $100 eVoucher, we will be only $50 worse off this year. Well $70 if we include the $20 payment.

          • @shabaka: How might one get all these vouchers for 2025? and is this only for their newest phone?

    • Stacking has never been a problem in the past. I've preordered via the edu store a few times.

  • Coming from a S10e and all I care about is physical phone size (no larger than the s10e if possible), a good camera (wide angle/hiking photos in particular) and at least 256gb memory. So any of the s23, s24, presumably s25 base model will do. No need for super processing power or anything. Should I risk my $20 for the s25 or just wait for jb/telcos/officeworks/etc to sell off their s24s?

(I also wish I could spend less than $1k for a phone satisfying this criteria but am not sure this is feasible. If the cost difference might only be say $200-300 between the s24 and s25 I suppose I would get the s25, though I usually break or lose my phones before they get old enough to have performance issues)

    • +2

If you have a device to trade in, you're not going to get a S24 cheaper than a launch price S25 any time soon.

      • I have an S10e (with a cracked screen and back falling off, so no doubt worth $0). Does that count? (I know I'm relying on a not-guaranteed bonus trade-in value
deal rather than actual trade-in value)

        • +1

It would be a $1 trade in value anyway, then you just wouldn't send it in and pay the fee and keep the trade in bonus.

    • +2

      I didn't see any super cheap s23s when I bought my s24.

    • S25 preorder (even with a $30 trade-in penalty) will be cheaper than any new S24

  • Any tricks to joining the EPP/edu store prior to this all going down?

    • Any .edu.au email address will get you into the edu store. Got a child with a school email address? Uni student?

      • Nothing easily available but I could probably find someone. Is it worth it?

        • +2

Some years it is, others not. Just depends what the trade in bonuses are etc. We won't know untill everything is announced.

      • When using a primary age kid's education email address to sign up, should the account name be in your own (adult's) name or the kid's?

        • You use your own Samsung account, with your normal email address. When logged into that account register for the edu store using the child's email address.

          • +1

            @wombat81: Yet again, thank you!!

          • @wombat81: Do you know if it's possible to double dip the 5% first purchase, using the same edu email?

            • +1

@Fobsessive: I don't know, but I doubt it's tied to the edu email. It'll be tied to your Samsung account, I reckon.

Create a new Samsung account with a different email address and you should get the 5% off again. But whether you can link the same edu email address to the new Samsung account or not, I have no idea.

              • @wombat81:

But whether you can link the same edu email address to the new Samsung account or not, I have no idea.

If anybody has successfully done this, please let us know.

Just open a Westpac account and you would have the access to EPP store

      • think u now need a Westpac Business One Plus account.

Any pro tips to get the best out of the pre-order period everyone? What I can think of includes:
    - $200 eVoucher
    - purchased $100 eVoucher
    - trade-in bonus
    - loyalty code? (Chat with Customer support now?)
    - education account.

I would like to get prepared and don't miss out like last year :D 😉

get the samsung app for 5% off first purchase (use different email if you've already used it)

      • cant use the app with the staff discount, Woolworths store. or can you???

      • +1

Samsung app only works with normal Samsung account or edu. Doesn't have any EPP logins

  • The S25 Ultra this gen will likely be using the Snapdragon 8 Elite with Qualcomm's custom Oryon cores.

  • Anyone know if we will be able to trade in Fold 6 ?
Last year before the Fold6 announcement they added the S24U trade in values…

  • I just bought the voucher as a guest and when the payment went through the cart emptied and I am back on the cart page with nothing in it, but the payment went through and no email received. Is this normal ?

    • Yeah - it took about 15 min between paying for it and getting an order confirmation email for me. Under your profile —> orders you should see the order so there is evidence of you purchasing

      • No worries, hopefully it comes. I checked out as Guest so don't think it'll appear in my profile

    • I received the confirmation email after 30 minutes, but the voucher code arrived more than 25 hours later.

      • I got 2nd email saying my order has been completed since I got the 1st email to nitify order has been confirmed. Still have not got the actual e voucher yet. Did it came on a 3rd email?

        • Yes, I received the confirmation email in the Primary folder, while the voucher code was sent to the Promotions folder.

      • Looks like they're doing batch runs to generate codes I reckon. Still haven't gotten my code but I only bought at 4:30pm 9 Jan

  • Does anyone know if I can purchase more than one voucher code?

    • if it lets you to add to cart and checkout, then answer is yes

      • The trick is to use multiple emails and guest checkout

      • Yes, I can. I just bought another one.

        • Do you plan to pre order more than 1? Or rolling the dice to see if multiple can be used in the same transaction?

          • @cuy: im curious about this because you buy 5 vouchers at $100 and get $500 off… is there anywhere in the t&c that states only one voucher can be used because people can stack a bunch of other stuff usually every year

            • @leasky: It's in the T&C's, although the wording, it could be made to conditions prior purchasing the eVoucher compared to using/after purchasing the voucher….. although exclusions 3 onwards all appear to relate to using (after purchasing) the voucher, so I am assuming the first 2 clauses applies to using the voucher.

Clause 2 might feel like it might be locked to the email address associated to the eVoucher…. so when you purchase, you might need to supply the same email or not. Dice roll.

              Conditions:
              1. Limited to only one (1) eVoucher per transaction
              2. Limited to only one (1) eVoucher per user
              3. The combined total value of the purchase price needs to be at least $1.00 at checkout (after any other discounts have been applied)
              4. eVoucher will expire 3 years from the date of issue
              5. Not reloadable, transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash or able to be used in subsequent transactions
              6. Samsung will not replace lost, stolen or deleted eVouchers
              7. eVoucher must be redeemed in full and any remaining value of the eVoucher will be forfeited
              8. Not applicable for change of mind return
              9. Offer subject to eVoucher Terms & Conditions and Terms & Conditions of Sale.

            • @leasky: I really doubt they'll let you use ~20 and get an S25U for ~$400

              • +4

@CVonC: i'll buy 2,000 voucher and become samsung "official S25U reseller"

              • @CVonC: Stranger things have happened. Gotta be in it to win it!

Let's just say that the checkout process has been very flawed in the past

                • +1

@0 0 0: Dont think so now. The last hurrah was 2 years ago, people getting $2700 zfold5 512gb for $800-1,100. Some people bought multiples.
                  Samsung surely noticed that.

            • @leasky: well imagine if we can haha

  • Anyone got this error on checkout?

  • Im waiting on JB/TGG Deal. That might be cheaper then paying outright. Correct me if I'm wrong

no they normally cost more over time.

I assuming he/she is talking about cancelling the plan and paying the cancellation fee.

        • yeep

        • -1

By now they should have aware of that trick and patched.
I got 3 times in 3 years long time ago.

  • Ordered yesterday, got an email saying it is completed but no e voucher code in the email. Is this normal?

Upon checking the order status page it shows 'order accepted' status though. = /

  • Ordered 7pm yesterday, voucher arrived 8.49pm tonight.

    • I still havent got mine, what was your email subject Im going to try and do a search to make sure I havent overlooked it.

      • +1

        Your Voucher Code Is Here!

    • +1

Same I ordered at 11am on the 8th Jan, the unique voucher came through from "customer services team" the next day at 11:49am.
FYI i use gmail, and it went thru to the promotion part of the inbox instead of the primary box

  • Anyone receive the exclusive $200/$100 offer code? Put my email in twice and a spare, nothing. Maybe they're waiting till around the event?

    • +2

The code is generic for the $200 "GALAXY2025" got the email confirmation quite quickly for that one.

After paying $20, took about 24 hours for me to receive my $20 ($100 boosted) voucher code via email.

  • So 300 dollars off? Plus maytbe 5% in app? What the release price gonna be? 1800?

    • There will also be a sizeable trade in bonus.

The S25U will be roughly $2250. Maybe a bit more.

      • I have s21 maybe 150

        • Yes, but you'll get a trade in bonus which is usually a $400-$500 discount.

          • @wombat81: I currently have S24 FE. As such the phone is good. But it feels heavy on my hands. I need a compact phone, S25.
S24 FE is missing from their trade-in webpage. Do you think they will add or update this phone before the launch of S25.

            • +1

@Utsav23: The flip 6 was just added in the last 24 hours or so. So maybe.

              • @wombat81: It's nice if they include S24 FE as well. I expect it to be around $525 which isn't bad considering bonus credits.

          • @wombat81: but then you loose some $ comparing if you sell outside asurion.

            • @CyberMurning: True. JB SquareTrade is offering $515 for S24 FE. Hopefully, they will provide bonus credits like last time ($300).

            • @CyberMurning: You can choose to not send the phone in, pay a penalty fee, keep the trade in bonus and sell the phone elsewhere, if you wish.

But you'd be mad to not take advantage of the trade in bonus.

              • @wombat81: That's correct. Hopefully, they will add this phone in the list ahead of the launch date.

  • To those that have been through this before.. I have a question.
I have an iPhone 13 that I would like to trade in for the S25 Plus. BUT I would like to transfer everything across via Smart Switch to the S25 Plus before sending the iPhone 13 in to Samsung. Would this be possible?

    • +1

Yes. You don't send the trade in phone in until after you've received the new phone.

      • Amazing. Thank you!

      • How much time is allowed before sending?

        • +2

I think a week, from memory. My advice is to get your transfer done and send it in ASAP. Take photos and videos of the condition of the device, in case asurion contest it. Pay extra for registered mail so you can confirm it arrives at it's destination, so asurion can't claim that you haven't sent it.

Email them your condition photos. Email them the confirmation that they've received it.

          • @wombat81:

Pay extra for registered mail so you can confirm it arrives at it's destination

You don't actually need to pay for anything as it is already paid for by Samsung/asurion

            It is already registered tracking

            • +1

@CodeXD: It's tracked, but by paying a bit extra for registered you get insurance included, so when asurion lose your device (which happens pretty regularly) you have some form of recourse.

              • @wombat81: Just take photos and videos of the phone before you send it to them. Like I said it will already be registered tracking paid by asurion so paying more for insurance when it is already covered by asurion doesn't make sense.

Asurion will actually send you the barcode to scan at auspost and you don't even need to print it out yourself. The whole process is great and easy, issue starts once it gets to Asurion and what they do with it.

                • +2

@CodeXD: I'm aware of the process. I've done it a number of times.

Look, do what you like, but there are endless stories of asurion claiming devices never arrived despite them being tracked by auspost.
