purchase a $20 eVoucher that can be redeemed with the value of $100³

Have to spend $20 to receive a Galaxy eVoucher+ (eVoucher) worth $100 towards pre-ordering the latest smartphone device…

    • +5

If it’s stackable, then it makes the pre ordering at Samsung even sweeter than the JB offer

      • +3

Most likely stackable since it's part of the pre-registration event and only applies to the new devices.

Hopefully the price hasn't been increased to factor in these promo.

        • +8

          insert anakin smirking meme

        • -1

Rumours say price will be up $100 this year, so with this voucher effective only $20 up.

      • +3

It's stackable. Last year also had the $300 total voucher discount. This is similar.

    • +1

Can you use this purchased $20 voucher on Samsung Education store?

      • +2

        Yes.

The next step is to get those 'extra' trade-in value coupons.

    • +3

The next next step is loyalty coupons, cancellation trick and jotform. IYKYK 🤫

      • +3

Jotforms start at 12pm on day 1. So don't rder before that lol

        • How do you know that?

          • +1

@wombat81: experience from the last 2 years

            • @abs898: what exactly does jotform have to do with samsung?
never heard of jotform until now heh

                • +7

                  @0 0 0: found out, but thanks for being a chubby so-and-so

                • @0 0 0: Only legends know 😂

              • +6

@bohn: last January everyone who bought S24U and did jotform got a free Watch6 Classic LTE

I am wearing it right now

                • @shabaka: What is jotform?

                  • +5

@KB57: it's difficult to explain, if you do ozbargain search you'll see what I am talking about. when pre-order starts for S25U watch the corresponding thread it will sure surface in the comments. last time I didn't receive the link directly, but thanks to people who shared it I got in and got my watch

but TBH I ordered via EPP portal and technically I wasn't even eligible for that promo, but lo and behold I got it.

                    • @shabaka: Thanks for the explanation mate; will keep an eye on it.

                    • +1

@shabaka: Did a search on ozb.
From what I understood I should make the purchase first and then when jotform link pops up in ozb I use it to claim a free device (whatever it may be). And apparently the purchase should be through main website not partner sites and edu.

                      • +3

@KB57: correct. in my case I purchased from partner site but applied and got it anyways

                    • -3

@shabaka: You not supose to explain it. Just type IYKYK

                • @shabaka: anyone remembers what was the price differences buying from samsung vs jbhifi?

                  • +1

@Sydney11: I can't remember if JB Hi-Fi was magnificent in any way

Samsung allowed to stack a bunch of codes and also cancel accessories after the order, further reducing the cost

                    and honoured it all

I don't think JB Hi-Fi came even close

      • Do you register for jotform. Tried logging in using my samsung account - didnt work. Tried resetting password - didnt get email.

  • +1

Does the $20 ($100 value) evoucher stack with the $200 offer?

    • Yes, it is writen in the term and condition section.

      • +2

Which part of T&C indicates that the $20 voucher is stackable with the $200 offer? I can't find it.

  • I believe it stacks as its a voucher and the other is promo code for those asking.
Still need the trade in promo and 20% corporate pricing thats a steal.

  • for Use on Accessories

Doesn't currently mention that it can only be used on accessories (but might be the case like previous offer).

  • +2

so the $20 evoucher deal ends a day before the event is announced, pretty dodgy that they're getting people to essentially commit to something before they even know what's getting released. They're essentially trying to entice people to commit to preordering a smart phone before it's even announced.

    • +1

Its basically $80 discount towards a phone if your more inclined to buy through samsung which most people would if they are pre ordering its well worth it.

    • +1

After this period the eVoucher will be worth $20 and may be used towards a purchase across any Galaxy Mobile Device product on the Samsung.com store of $21 or more.

The eVoucher will have a set expiry of 3 years from the date that it is provided, eg. if the eVoucher is provided on the 1st of February 2025 then the expiry date will be the 1st of February 2028.

At least you have up to 3 years to use it (as $20 off) towards any Galaxy Mobile Device (instead of being forfeited).

    • +2

People like me who are 100% going to upgrade will get this voucher.

      • absolutely, if you are upgrading from something older then it's a no brainer. but for people who have a relatively recent phone, it's a little less certain what is coming out. if they just re-released the s24 ultra with the latest SOC and a slightly larger battery capacity, then it's probably not worth it.

        • +6

Upgrading from s24U. I have realised it's cheaper to upgrade each year than skipping a gen or two.

          • +2

@abs898: Due to higher trade in value after first year? Or some other reason?

          • +5

@abs898: If i upraded every year i loose $1100 each year roughly.

I have s22 ultra i could sell for $500 loss of $1500 after 3 generations

If i upgraded every year i would be at $2700 loss after 3 generations. Looks like im up $1200.

I dont know how you worked out it being cheaper every year upgrade.

            • +6

@Jklaro: If you look at past year's post, with all coupon stacking, you actually can buy the Ultra for 1100-1200. Considering I can sell my s24U in the market for over 1k, I am not really putting much towards it.

You are loosing 1500 on s22u because you bought it for 2k. I remember buying my s22u for 1200. That's where the depreciation is less for me

              • @abs898: So you think you can buy the s25 ultra for 1200 on launch day?
From what I can see s24 ultra was $1900 at launch. How much did you pay for s24 ultra?

                • +4

@Jklaro: S24U 256GB was about $970. How? Read last years post and comments 🥸

                  • @porleng: I had a look couldnt find do you have the link?

                • @Jklaro: About a grand, can't exactly remember. But I haven't paid over 1200 since s22u. I am talking very ballpark figures

            • @Jklaro: Yes this exactly. Though I hate trying to sell my last year's flagship phone. Ebay prices fluctuate so whilst some people get awesome prices, there's often a huge range.
Still losing $200-300 a year on tech and upgrading to the latest and greatest isn't a bad thing.

I did skip selling off my Tab S9 Ultra as the new S10 Ultra didn't really offer much more for my needs and also changed chipset to something that may have less support initially

            • +2

@Jklaro: who the (profanity) is paying $1500 for a used ass phone?

            • @Jklaro: It's because the best way to save money, is to spend money apparently lol

          • +1

@abs898: I still haven't worked it out tbh. I traded in S22U for S24U and with all the tricks and discounts I was $623 out of pocket. I sent my phone in.

now S25U isn't that much of an upgrade by the sound of it so I am keen to skip a generation again.

S22U to S24U was huge. much better performance and battery life, not to mention a flat screen that's much easier to write on

            solid better cameras too

            • @shabaka: I'm on 23U and was looking to upgrade to S25U but not sure if it is worth it or not. S23U is very solid phone plus it has all the AI stuff too.

    • Read it again. You got it wrong.

  • +1

so yall reckon its worth paying the $20? also last year You were able to jump on livechat and ask for another loyalty voucher whats the chance we can stack that aswell?

    • +1

I believe its only one voucher you can redeem i could be wrong. But generally one overrides the other. They most likely introduced this $20 voucher rather than ozbargainers flooding the live chat for loyalty voucher where this works better for everyone. They have a commitment and the customer gets more discount.

  • For trade in does anyone know why the a15 5g cant be traded in? They have the a14 5g but not a15 5g.
I have an s8 worst case but my $19 phone could be worth more lol

    • Just don't send anything in if having the old phone is worth more than $30 to you

      • +1

Plus the non return admin fee. Can't remember what that costs now.

        • +1

The fee is the $30 I mentioned!

          • +1

@Fobsessive: Hasn't it gone up to $60 now?

            • +1

@tjioer: I paid $30 fee for my S24 preorder. Has it since gone up for the mid 2024 Z Fold release?

      • So you just tell them you have a phone to trade in but done send it? And you still.get the trade in value?

        • +2

You get the bonus value (if there is any) but don't get the actual trade in value. So net benefit is trade in bonus - admin fee. You'll be charged the trade in value after the return period lapses, which would've been discounted from the original sale value.

  • +7

And so it begins. Looking forward to the $1300 discount lmfao

    • 1300 lol how much yall reckon the s25 ultra 256gb will be after all discounts

      • +1

There's an old post on OzB that turned the s24u to like $750 lol.

        • How that $750 s24u? Anyone remember that post? If you do, can you please post the link for newbies to get ready for it? Thank you.

          • +3

@OSA: Yeah trade in your brand new top of the range iPhone 🤣

Some of the discount claims are somewhat misleading as they require you to trade in a very expensive phone. Best way to check is to assume trade in of an old device such as a smartwatch worth $5.

  • Pig in a poke.

Why does this feel like we’re paying $20 for an opportunity to pay RRP?

Before you’d get the $200 by just signing up. Enshitification continues

    • +4

You need to read the deal more carefully. You do get the $200 by just signing up.

But I'll cut you some slack due to your username.

  • What may be the price for the base variant S25?

    • +1

It's $100 USD more according to forum rumours

      • With the AUD tanking compared to USD, these phones could be in for a price increase.

      • I bought one but no on the EDU email address, and now it says this on the invoice - Your [EXCLUSIVE] Galaxy eVoucher+ has been applied! Promotion applied to your order.

        Hmmmm

        • +1

I received the invoice twice actually and says the same confusing statement Your [EXCLUSIVE] Galaxy eVoucher+ has been applied! Promotion applied to your order.

So have we wasted the voucher already?

          • @plapic: I have no idea my dude. Im sure we can reach out to the on online chat for the code, I will do it maybe later. Because I will want to pre-order through the student portal.

  • Presume the voucher isn't stackable with the 50% off vouchers

    • +1

Like for Telstra staff etc? Highly doubt it.

      • Yep - but general public/EPP deals have been better for the past couple of years anyway. Long gone are the stackable discounts/offers for free accessories.

      • How can I find out about the Telstra staff voucher? Even though I am staff I seem to miss out on these since its hard to find the info…

        • +1

I think it's crazy traffic. Even registering for Unpacked is tricky right now.

    • Yeah, I'm getting errors for everything.

    • Yep, same here. Tried 3 different methods, different browsers, Samsung app, same error all the time. I talked to online help, they have no idea how to fix that either

    • Yup, same. Tried Samsung Pay, GPay, CC, Paypal - nothing worked

      • Mine threw an error for payment but using google pay my phone told me the payment went through. Then waited about an hour and got the order email.
