      unreal, how hard it's to send out mass cancellation email if they already have a list, instead they are taking their sweet time

      • You didn't get it. They are not only want to cancel order, also pushing people to buy other models. Sending out emails won't do that. Where are you going to find this amount of people are potentially buying a TV. And get all the contact. They won't let this chance go.

  • When do you think Samsung knew about the issue? I would imagine it was on Friday of the deal.

    Very poor business practices if they knew of the issue and are delaying cancellations for a week.

    • There should be detection if order for one product have unusual spike.

      I also ordered 20mins after the post went up. Tried three different times and it did not let me until I did it in a private tab which was annoying.

    So weird, I got the call and didn't answer and decided to open a chat this morning. After I provided my order number they said "based on the latest update from our internal team your order is due to be shipped in the next 48 hours". Seems the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing.

    • When I gave the live chat my order number they checked and told me it was on the cancellation list. So if they've told its due to get shipped, I think it's a good sign your order wasn't flagged and may get fulfilled.

        • Yeah they cancelled it for me from the live chat. They also gave me a 10% and 15% voucher code which seems to stack when I tried it on one of the TVs on the Samsung website.

  • Got the call, usual spiel about a pricing error. Received a 15% voucher. Pretty pathetic. Can it be stacked with a loyalty code?

    TV received this morning in QLD. Ordered at 3:41pm (16 mins after posting) - no trade-in selected. No confirmation email until ANC text message received on Tuesday confirming delivery, text message today confirming on truck on the delivery date selected.

      • I think the 2 people who got their orders fulfilled had their TVs delivered on the date that they requested. So I'm guessing any orders that have passed their selected delivery date is probably not going to get fulfilled.

              @Bonemusher: No, it has get it by 29/11 by default. Maybe because it's regional area they need last mile partner to complete the delivery

    I missed out after having this in the basket on three occasions, but I'm rooting for you all to have this honoured.

    Samsung will have nothing but a whole lot of disgruntled customers that will surely boycott them for such scoundrel behavior.

    Does anyone have any clue on how to realistically fight this?

    I have no problem 'waiting' for stock to come back. Quoting ACCC or saying its illegal to bait and switch might make them feel bad but how does it translate into a good outcome?

      Slim to none. I tried most of the buzzwords but they still cancel the order after the phone call even after instructing them not to cancel it, because the agent is just the messenger.

    If we put enough pressure on ACCC, they might at least have a word with Samsung.

    My theory is they will cancel the order only after speaking to you - either you take their call or reach out to them on chat. Else its just money stuck with them while they earn interest

    • not really, it's just that they are trying to sell you other TV or their operation is run by bunch of clowns, i got cancellation email without phone call or anything

    • At least they should send an email if people are not answering, is it ok for them to hold the money and not ship it for like months just because you didn't contact them and answer their calls?

      How many people here missed/ intended to miss the call, and order got cancelled later on. Or their orders are all still stuck at awaiting dispatch

    Has anyone in NSW considered trying to lodge a complain through NCAT (administrative tribunal)? There is precedent. In 2016 someone took an online jeweller to court for a $30,000 ring he bought for $1K in a pricing error, and they ruled in his favour.

  • I got cancelled by chat. Was provided 2 vouchers that are stackable. 55 inch S90D comes to $1682.24. Any cancellated ozbers going to purchase another model?

    • are the vouchers only applicable to TV? or anything on the samsung store

      • the email says tv, sound devices and home appliances.

    • Just an average deal, unless you really need it, you can see previous deal going for cheaper

  • This morning I initiated my 3rd chat with Samsung. Received standard reply:

    "As per checking here, your order is included on the list of the order that the
    system will eventually be cancelled. There was a technical glitch on our online
    store for a short duration of our Black Friday Flash Sale, during the time of
    your purchase. During the checkout stage of your order, the price displayed on
    the checkout page was incorrect, and was different to the price displayed on
    the product page."

    I said that was unacceptable. He then replied with:

    "I totally understand that you wanted to get the product with the same price
    that you have on your current order. I am happy to inform you that you will get
    the same price for the product, you just need to repurchase the same item on
    the Nov 30, I will provide you an discount code for you and additional code
    that code add on the discount."

    I have since received the two codes but am sceptical.

      • I questioned that, he replied….

        "As per checking here, there's no available information regarding the time on
        the 30th of Nov, however, you can use it within 24 hours."

    • What did you say to the agent?

      • The chart started off with him asking pleasantries "How was I was doing today". I replied with:

        "Worried about my order. Was to be delivered 19th November. I have had no
        correspondence since placing the order 7 days ago and my money has been taken
        from my account."

        To his standard response I replied with

        "That's unacceptable"

        That was it, he then replied with my posting above.

            I understand from you that you will provide several valid discount codes
            that I can use on Nov 30 to purchase this same model TV for same price as on
            current order AUxxxxx being $649 including tradein. Is this correct?

            • @Barnowl63: Tried Samsung chat (for the first time in this debacle) and got a similar answer to try on Nov 30 but the agent would not commit to what price I should be getting. Also said potentially new vouchers will get emailed out (or perhaps the old ones that were sent out?) and apply that voucher on the Samsung store and get in touch through chat if something wasn't right

              • @smokeymr: Same, I was given 2 vouchers v15 and rg, said another is coming in email. Haven't received yet. Don't think new price will be anything close to 1k, won't buy it anyway. Chat for fun .

              RS code only applies to QA55S90CAWXXY, you can try on the samsung store now and you can see

    • Lol I just talked to them via online chat and i got the exact same responses. My order was cancelled right after and they gave me two 15% off codes for tv and one 10% off code for monitor.

        • Got a call yesterday that I didn't answer, contacted chat this morning and asked for an update. Gave my order number, they said still being processed in the warehouse should ship in the next 48 hours. Pretty weird!
