  • Luke can you come back and give us a price for a Ryzen 5600 + GTX 4060, thanks
Any one knows of any deals for that combo?
Would it still be as good as a PS5?

  • The site shows afterpay and zip pay options but at checkout only credit card is available.

  • +4

Damnit Nvidia, why do you have to extend that Star Wars promotion… give us something more interesting

  • Any thoughts on the 7800X3D-7900XTX for my first PC ? Im not very tech savvy

    • please at least mention your use cases with as much detail as you can for the PC or your guess is as good as anybody elses

      • hey, thanks, mainly for gaming either with / without a controller depending on game. Sometimes, photo/video editing is done less than 10% of the time.

        • Any particular games? As well as what monitor resolution and refresh rate are you playing at. You can search up some benchmarks for 7800x3d 7900XTX (inset game) benchmark to see how it will roughly perform.

  • Is the 32GB 6000MHz RAM in the 7800x3d/4080s build, CL30? I can't see the CAS latency listed anywhere for any of the builds

    • They'll be grabbing whatever they have on hand. It'll most likely be 36's with some occasional 32's. The difference is like half of one fps on your 1% lows… not worth stressing about

  • FYI the header on the 4080s system says 16Gb on the header of the page even though the system is 32Gb

  • Hey everyone, I haven't bought any new desktop in years. Keen to buy an itx build for meetings and WFH. Not a gamer. Not a graphics designer. It just has to be quiet/silent for meetings. If it's somewhat future-proofed, that'll be a bonus. My question is whether the specs of this build suits me?

    https://ozb.techfast.com.au/products/TechFast-Home-Multimedi…

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    • +1

It's a good ITX build for WFH/meetings only thing I'd suggest you get is 32gb ram to keep up with the extra programs in the background spotify, 30+ chrome pages, teams, word, excel etc

      • Thx, Lz! I didn't think of the ram. You made a good point. I'm actually considering ditching the graphics card and upgrade the cooling system to a 240mm All-In-One Liquid CPU Cooler. I hope that'll further drive the noise down? What do you reckon?

        https://ozb.techfast.com.au/products/AMD-Ryzen-5-5600G-Gamin…

        • +1

I'm actually considering ditching the graphics card

The good news is that build does not have a dedicated graphics card installed haha it will use the integrated graphics from CPU AMD Ryzen 5 5600G

          • @CodeXD: Yea CodeXD, you're right. I'm now considering the following build:
            https://ozb.techfast.com.au/products/AMD-Ryzen-5-5600G-Gamin…

I see that the options of removing the graphics card and upgrading the cooling system are available. Do you reckon having a 240mm AIO liquid CPU cooler will help minimise the noise?

            Thank you!

            • +1

@Gorzy: No need to upgrade the CPU cooler, it's not going to sound like a jet engine even if you've got a bunch of Chrome tabs and other non-gaming/designing processes open.

  • +1

For a 4080 build, worth getting a 1000W PSU with a view of upgrading the GPU down the track?

And what 1000W PSU do you use ?

  • +5

Just a warning, I bought a machine from these guys recently, and it was like pulling teeth trying to get updates. They were also way past the estimated turnaround time. No problems with the build itself though, but just be aware of that. From what I've read, I'm far from the only one to experience this.

  • +7

I'm holding out to see if someone posts a 7800X3D with 4070TI deal that includes Steam giftcard bonus. If anyone offers a good deal on that I'm ready to pull the trigger.

    • Same, pretty much will never play that Star Wars game, bad graphics, clunky mechanics and full of bugs … I already have all that in real life

    • From the Terms and conditions from MSI:
      https://au.msi.com/Promotion/anz-get-powered-by-msi-2024#wtb…

"MSI Motherboard + MSI Graphics Card + MSI Power Supply + MSI Case + MSI Liquid Cooler+ MSI SSD" For the $225 USD Steam Voucher

"MSI Motherboard + MSI Graphics Card + Another Two MSI Component" 120 USD

"MSI Motherboard + MSI Graphics Card" 70 USD

  • Hi guys,

    these deals look pretty great.

do you think it will be worth waiting for black friday?

Has there been great deals like these traditionally on black friday?

    First time PC buyer here

  • Gonna wait for the 5080 deals next year.

Almost pulled the trigger on 4080

  • Can i get this without the GPU?

  • Hi Luke, Caleb, Zac and the TechFast team, I created an account on Tech Fast to make a purchase but now I can't log back in. Can you please print your email address or phone number here so that I can contact someone on TechFast? I need more details about a product.

  • After watching PC builds for months, finally pulled the trigger and went with the 7800X3D/4080 Super build. Added an extra HDD and upgraded the PSU

Will be a huge upgrade from 1600/RX 580 which is on it's last legs.

  • any i9 processor 14900KS deals with byo graphics cards?

  • Bit worried about the generally used graphics card bit. Surprised no one mentioned it. Not used for crypto right?

    • +2

I took it to mean the brand Zotac or PNY is generally used in these builds (but you may still get other brands), not that the graphics card has already been used.

      • +3

This is correct ^, we are talking brands/models in use. All parts are brand new.

        • Ah I see

  • Just put in an order for the 4070 Ti Super with some mods, Thanks OP. So bloody excited!

    • +1

You might get an upgrade option for the 9800x3d too! Keep an eye out if you're interested

      • Thanks for the heads up! I will do, did you get it?

        • +2

Yeah i received an email and the add on was for $80

          • @skidexa: Nice, thanks for the info!

          • +1

@skidexa: Oh nice I haven't heard anything yet, hopefully we all get offered this.

          • @skidexa: So is the 9800x3d just 7800x3d + $80!

            • @Lummii: Yeah i had ordered the 4070ti super and 7800x3d late october and was asked via email if would like to upgrade to 9800x3d. Not sure if its offered to new builds post release though

              • @skidexa: Oh, no way! I'd definitely pay to upgrade if they offer it. My build hasn't started yet, but havent received any emails offering this unfortunately.

  • Hey Luke @luketechfast What's the likely card being used for the 7900XTX build? Very close to pulling the trigger but just doing some research first :)

  • Dangit, keep missing the ITX builds! Serves me right for trying to cut back on OzB!

  • Here’s hoping the 7800X3D deal comes back at a lower price, especially with all the supply constraints going on.

    • +1

Supply constraints and you expect prices to be lower?

      • It’s called hope.
It doesn’t mean you KNOW it will come down, but you hope that it comes down.

  • I placed my order a few days back. The wait is gonna kill me! Went for the 4070ti super. I'm hoping the air cooler for the CPU will be sufficiently. I went for the MSI case as it looks like it will allow for better airflow compared to the Antec case. This is gonna be a huge upgrade from my GTX 980 and i7 4790k PC.

    • +2

Bro youre gonna love it. Enjoy. What game are you waiting to play with the upgrades?
I'm still typing from my GTX 970 + i5 6500 :> I want (need???????????) a new one but can't justify it given I'm still playing Sekiro 2018. I tell myself I'm hodling for a deal but I don't think any of this is going to get any cheaper.

      • +1

I held out for way too long. I finally caved and I'm so damn excited I did hahaha. That 970 must be started to struggle now too I'm guessing?

Honestly not even sure what games yet. One thats kind of lame, but I enjoy is black ops 6. I just cant seem to get stable fps on my current build.

I also want to be able to max Chivalry 2, its such a fun game.

Also super keep for a single player RPG on gamepass. Thinking I might give Starfield a crack and see how it looks in 4K :)

        • Now I'm over 30 I don't want to play any new games! So my 10 year old rig is still doing what I need it to.

Cyberpunk is ½ off on steam right now (which is the ATL). You might like it - mix of shooter and RPG? That and rdr2 might be the games that tip me over the edge into blowing $2k+ on this stuff!

      • +1

Lol im also on the 970. I bit on the 4070 ti super deal and can't wait. Had stopped playing games for about two years so i have a lot to cath up to. Baldur's gate 3 and Elden Ring are the ones ill play first

        • Yeah sekiro has me so hooked that I think I'll have to get a new PC for Elden ring..

  • +1

Hey Luke any 9800x3d deals coming soon!

    • FYI they offered 9800x3d upgrades to a lot of people who ordered the 7800x3d builds, myself included, and I think they've gone through their current stock already, so might be a bit of time before supply stabilises and they get through those orders

      • Yeah I asked to be upgraded to the 9800x3d but they said didn't have any stock sadly

        • Did you contact them on their website? I emailed a question about 4 or 5 days back and I'm yet to receive a response.

Not sure if they don't actually respond there. Bit of a worry that people have been upgraded to 9800x3d's and it's been complete silence and the status of my order has stayed the same for over a week now.

          • @Tyoson: I contacted them through the sales email address from where my order updates came from.

But yeah they said was only available to certain customers within a certain time period to avoid delays to their order. However I wasn't offered this at all.
My order status currently is: Order Placed

So I'm not sure where my order is at, as I put the order on 3/11/24, and given 10-14 business day estimation time which means I should probably get it 21/11/24?

I'm kinda hoping mines delayed and can get the upgrade of 9800x3d…

            • @Polde: Why would you need to upgrade to avoid delays? Why would they sell things they don't have stock of?

  • Really wanted to buy the 7800x3d and 7900xtx. Hey Luke is there any way to get a different motherboard I don't want any itx motherboard it's really bad if I wanna upgrade the cpu or you

  • +1

The 7800X3D/4070TiS appears to have sold out :(

Any chance it would come back for just one person? ;)

    • Why post on a public forum asking for just one person? Contact them directly.

    • Did you find out

  • Just received the itx machine, it is very small and case looks premium, just one question, the noise is noticeable when running in idle, and become quite loud when playing AAA games (tried god of war and black myth wukong), wondering if there is any imporvement for this? can I switch to a quiet fan maybe?

  • Hey @luketechfast

What's the current estimated build times? Know you guys must have a hefty amount that you're going through due to the black Friday sales.

    • At the moment we're estimating 10-14 business day processing time on our orders.

      • +1

Thankyou so much for the info! And are you guys still experiencing the shortage of the 7800x3D?

      • +2

Hey @luketechfast. I messaged support through the website and haven't heard anything back yet. Just wanted to know if the account on the website updates when text messages are sent through. Status has stayed as "Order Placed" for 2 weeks now.

Is the 10-14 business days of processing from todays date, or from the time of order?

        Cheers mate.

        • I've also received a message saying my order has progressed but it still shows as "order placed" on the site. I also have received two different estimates for how long it will take (a text message indicating 5-10 business days as well as an email received at the exact same time stating 10-14 business days).

          • +1

@bnjrmn: Same here. I've sent a few emails and haven't heard anything back yet.

  • Hey Luke, the 4070 TI Super deal shows out of stock once clicked through. Any ideas on when it'll be back? Ready to pull the trigger!

    • Unfortunately we don't have a concrete estimation of when we'll offer this deal again at the moment, but do keep your eyes peeled for any posts with new deals!

      • Thanks Luke, lots of demand for that build. Best of luck this Black Friday!

  • Has anyone got their orders, especially the 4070tis or 4080 super builds? How is it?

I'm waiting for feedback about my order via an email I've sent so might need to live vicariously for a while lol

  • Hi Luke, super sad to get to this promotion very late. Are there likely to be any more deals this side of black friday?

    • Hi Barnooo, unfortunately at this stage we aren't able to confirm if there will be any more deals before Black Friday, so please just keep your eyes peeled here!

  • +2

Just wanted to say I received my 4070 ti S and 9800X3D build today. It is running super smoothly. Packaging was very thorough, the condition was great, and everything has been put together great. I am really happy with my purchase.

The only issue I have is with the motherboard - it's giving me issues with bluetooth reception. It's not the end of the world, and I can always run a cable for things, but it's worth noting. Everything else has been great. I will likely hit TechFast up again for my next build :)

    • As someone on the forums helpfully pointed out, this was because I was not using the included wifi antennas :)

As I was using Ethernet I mistakenly thought they were only for boosting wifi signals, but inserting them has fixed my Bluetooth issues completely. Ignore my comment above, I am a silly goose

  • +3

Hello techfast team - I bought the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | RTX 4070 Ti Super Gaming PC, over a month ago! Please any updates on when this will even go into the building phase and ship??

    • Have they been unresponsive when communicating via their website? A month is way too long. I'd consider a chargeback with my bank if they don't respond.

    • +2

Same boat as you @Karaage Chicken. Last email was earlier this week saying still no update about when they will be able to fulfill the order. Problem with stock of CPU. Also no stock of new AMD CPU as upgrade option either?

Refund now will simply make the problem worse as this pricing not available anywhere else.

Last email says contact us again if you haven’t heard from us in a while. Don’t like that. How about some proactive comms on a regular basis. Who else is in the position of an endless wait?

    • +1

Jumping in the same boat as you guys. Haven't heard any news since Monday. Ordered it on the 5th of November so not far off a month now. Hoping to hear some news soon or its not gonna be here for my only break from work over Christmas haha.

      • +1

I heard from them Monday that they hoped to have my system I ordered on the 10th of November built by the end of the week. It still hasn't progressed past "order placed". No mention from Techfast of delays (it's a 7800x3d system and others on forums have mentioned being told that there were delays with that CPU).

      • I ordered mine 8th November and in the same boat too. They were hoping to get stock this week but no word yet.

        • +1

We're gonna need a bigger boat!

          • +1

@Tyoson: Hahaha I was literally thinking that!

I'm always up for a boat party!

            • +1

@RossRoss: Well there's not much else for us to do, it's not like we can play our PC's. I'll bring the beers!

              • @Tyoson: Lol! Sweet, I'll bring some snacks!

                Now, who's got the boat?

                • +1

@RossRoss: We've got the beers, we've got the snacks and we've got the boat people, but we're all out of boats.

                  • +2

@Tyoson: At least there's multiple of us in the same situation… The last correspondence I had was an email a week ago saying similar to what @PorKnuckle said with AMD supply issues. And I also agree a refund now wouldn't solve too much given Black Friday deals are all but over now.

I guess is just a waiting game. Would appreciate some proactive more regular updates at least… or else it's just weeks of chasing up

                  • +1

                    @Tyoson: We're gonna need a bigger boat!

  • +1

Ordered it on the 28th of October and had no email reply received. Will send the case to ACCC.

    • +1

Just received the email confirming "You beauty - your PC is now In Build! "

      • Nice! Congrats! Any upgrades offered?

        • nope.

          • @iamg1: Ordered mine on the 1st of Nov - hopefully this means they are progressing through their back-orders. Still no updates yet, though

            • @Karaage Chicken: just received below, can't believe!!!!!!!!!!!

"If you would like to proceed with your order, we are expecting chips to arrive on Thursday, this means when they arrive, we will process your order asap and have it dispatched as soon as possible. Based on the timeframe, this would be likely on Monday next week.

With this in mind, would you like me to put you down for processing once they arrive in? We do apologize for the delay again."
