Apologies in advance, this is my first deal.

Multiple Lenovo Thinkpad E14 and E16 laptops on the Lenovo AU website, with 38% - 42% discount to RRP. Plus as of 14-Feb-25 an increased Lenovo ShopBack 13.2%.

I bought the E14 Ryzen 5, current generation Gen 6 after I saw that ShopBack upsized today their cashback to 13.2%. Got confirmation that cashback was tracked couple of hours after the order went through.

Good laptop, lenovo rewards are useless unless you are buying another laptop, otherwise everything else is overpriced in the store

    • +1

Can't they be used for accessories?

      • Not until a few months after the purchase that qualified for the rewards.
Lenovo withhold them for a few months in case the laptop is returned.

    • May be able to be used towards their "restocking fee" when you return an item

Keep in mind that the Ryzen 7535HS is a rebadge of the 6000-series - which are still okay but still close in performance to the 5000-series. The main reason to go for theses over the 5000-series is the iGPU. However this particular one is a rebadge of 6600HS only comes with a Radeon 660M iGPU which is half the CUs of the 680M, making it only a bit better than the older Vega 8 on the 5000-series.
In other words, if you are ok with this level of CPU you might be able to find some decent bargains on Ebay (e.g the Thinkpad L14 AMD model) for quite a bit less

    • How does it compare with the Intel 125H?

      • +1

From what I can tell, the Intel 125H should be better across the board - more CPU cores, faster iGPU (using the new Arc GPU which should be better than Radeon 760M).

  • soldered memory ?

    • In lenovo gen 6 E14 ram is not soldered, 2 slots

  • which model is good??

  • isn't that a normal price for e14
a deal was getting one for $800+
but that was when aud was a bit more valuable

    • +1

It's a pretty normal price, it's only a deal if you actually do the 13.2% cashback and maybe end up using the $44 in Lenovo rewards.

  • Not bad… But referral link

    • Not sure what exactly did you mean. It is not my referral link, it was added automatically by ozbargain

Anways good deal IMO. Some people say the E series doesn't meet the durability standards of a traditional Thinkpad, but still, it's a Thinkpad… Can't go wrong?

        • Even if a Thinkpad gets damaged, it's one of the easiest (and perhaps cheapest) to find parts and easy to repair. I daresay that apart from Framework, I don't know of any other laptop that is as modular/repairable/upgradable as a Thinkpad. The L-series consistently tend to be the most upgradable (always 2 slots of RAM) but the E-series it depends on the year (this one is also 2 slots but there was a time where it was soldered or one slot only). Otherwise both are close to each other

  • Lenovo Shopback is back to 3.2%. This deal is not as attractive anymore
