Hi Ozbargainers,

Lots of great holidays deals on the site, prompted me to book my next trip and also made me think about further clearing out our Pharmacy Action line up of products in a deal for travelers. I've assembled a nice little trio that I pack on every trip - so I'm thinking this will be a popular seller. I have around 100 sets ready to go, so I think there should be enough for everyone tonight.

- 20x Diarrhoea Relief, Exp: End November 2026
- 48x Ibuprofen 200mg, Exp: End January 2025

    Here for the comments

  • Good price but only concern is short dated, every time atleast half goes to bin unfortunately .

I'm not telling you to take expired medication, but for the vast majority the expiry date is simply set 2 years after manufacturing rather than based on the limit suggested by degradation of the product.

    • Get sick often then 😂

    Good for trip to India

Need a deal now to go to India then

    • One for the road(side).

  • Thanks OP. Can someone explain to me what the difference between Cetirizne, Loratadine and Hayfexo is? OP or anyone?
With spring coming, I'm already worried about my allergies. In previous years I've been taking Loratadine but it makes me a little drowsy. Works though on most days as long as I take it early, well before the symptoms start.
Don't know if the other two are meant to be better?

Hayfexo/fexofenadine is least likely to cause drowsiness (would be surprised if it did).

Drowsiness with Loratadine is very rare.

Drowsiness with Cetirizne is relatively common (around 10% of people).

You should always take antihistamines before symptoms, they work by blocking the receptors for histamine in your eyes/nose/throat ext. Once you have symptoms it means that histamine has already bound to the receptors in your sinuses, the drug needs to compete to displace the histamine to stop your symptoms - which is less effective than getting there first and blocking the histamine from binding.

If antihistamines alone are not enough you could add another product such as mometasone nasal spray

      • cheers, ordered Hayfexo

      • This is very enlightening. Thank you!

    • You think they cause Diarrhoea to help relieve being backed up?

Does the Diarrhoea Relief work? I have them from a previous deal, but never used them. I guess I need to get Diarrhoea first huh?

    • Diarrhoea happens as your body wants to purge the germs or toxins in your body. These relief tablets stop the body from purging. So whilst you might feel better by not having to go to the toilet every 5 minutes and it may help reduce dehydration, sometimes it's better to let nature run its course. Really depends on the circumstances though. If youre in a nice hotel with good bathroom facilities I'd opt to stay in the hotel and keep well hydrated.

Any deals on mometasone nasal spray on the horizon? Appreciate all the previous deals you've had on hayfever stuff over the years!

    • Yup, waiting for the hayfever specials.. season is upon us soon..

  • I recommend those buying consider paying the 99 cent extra for delivery, as my previous order never arrived without it. However, the order subsequent with the extra 99 cent delivery option arrived within a week of ordering :)

    • You should pay it with paypal, let paypal deals for you

      • Depends on how much you value your time. I value mine much more than that, so if I lost a shipment it wouldn’t bother me too much. Especially considering how much I’ve saved with this seller over the years. An extra $0.99 is hardly a stretch to confirm delivery.
