100x Hayfexo Fexofenadine Hydrochloride 180mg $19.99 Delivered @ PharmacySavings

Hi Ozbargainers,

Good news, on Friday the bulk Hayfexo arrived allowing a this deal to be posted tonight. I've been getting many emails asking for a 100x offer - It's the first time I've ever been able to offer LONG DATED 100x Packs (70 + 30 Boxes) in volume. Bad news is the supplier only sent 50% of the order and then called me to let me know they wont be honouring the balance of the order at the agreed price (yes apparently this is possible). I was hoping to make the 100 pack of Hayfexo the new Ozb staple - but now its a case of selling whatever I have at this price then renegotiating with multiple suppliers to try and find a new 100 tab sweet spot. So for all those who've been asking, please jump in while you can, several hundred boxes available so hopefully the deal will persist for a few weeks.

    Cheers Jason, order is in.

  • Can you beat 320 Cetirizine for less than $30 delivered?

    • When you say beat do you mean beat another price from somewhere else or just some arbitrary value you came up with?

      • I paid $30 via eBay delivered for this!

        • Errmm…I wouldn’t call eBay the place for all your quality medications and good health advice. You might pay a bit more here but at least you know it’s from a real pharmacy where there’s even a bricks & mortar shop you can go to if you’re nearby.

  • How does this compare to Claratyne?

    • This is what you are after: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/775637 same active ingredient

@Repstar - We swapped over from Claratyne to Loratadine a couple of years ago - first it was Trust and the latest deal was for Dr Reddy's.
Much cheaper than getting from Claratyne from CW.
Both seem to work just the same - different pill sizes, thats all.
Of course, YMMV, but its cheap to try once.

      • All sold out - any ETA on when they will be restocked?

        Thanks!

Claratyne (Loratadine) and Fexofenadine have completely different molecular shapes but they both are competitive inhibitors at Histamine1 receptors which gives you allergy relief. Loratadine is actually a tricyclic (an unsaturated ring flanked by 2 benzene rings), something it shares with older antidepressants and anti-psychotics. Over the counter antihistamines don't require a prescription because they have limited ability to enter the brain, whereas the tricyclic antidepressants and antipsychotics enter the brain with ease. I take a tricyclic called doxepin to sleep (it is mostly a sedating antihistamine but it is lumped in the antidepressant category).

      • tried Claratyne, Zyrtec, Loratadine, etc. - the only one that works for me is Fexo - so I just ordered s'more thanks !

If I say this, lawyers write nasty letters to me.

    • It has the same active ingredient but not that we're drawing pricing comparisons to big pharma or anything :)

      • Of course not! It would be uncharitable of us to say Big Pharma will try to make huge profits on over-the-counter meds that are no more efficacious than the cheaper third-party generic brands with exactly the same active ingredient. So, we won’t say that, m’kay?

People are sheep, though, and honestly believe the Big Pharma brands are ‘better’ due to effective (and aggressive) marketing. Mrs C worked in a pharmacy for years and was always being asked for a brand (e.g. Panadol) whereupon she’d offer them a generic alternative at a fraction of the price (e.g. pharmacy-brand paracetamol). It was almost universally the same reaction - they’d look at her suspiciously and ask, “Does it work as well?” She gave up in the end and just gave the customers what they wanted.

I have no trouble with Big Pharma doing what they need to in order to recoup R&D costs on new meds - that’s what patents are for, to protect the original inventor from being cheated on their hard work. But, patents expire eventually, so naturally other players will move into the market and that’s when things should get cheaper. As long as they continue to have high quality standards and produce a product that works just as well then all the power to ‘em.

        • Between Bigpharma, BigOrganic, Biginformation and BigSearch, they are farming people like ants and sheep.

Now this is nice but I'm still stocked from the last deal and don't want to buy 100 of these only to realise my body has grown tolerant and I need to cycle it out lol

Thanks for letting me know, I’ve got more stock coming in tomorrow so I’ll resist now.

  • Thanks for the deal once again Jason. I haven’t bought Hayfexo from anywhere else since you started these deals.

  • Thanks Jason. Working much better than loratadine for me. Great price.

  • I've never taken anything for hay fever before, but it seems to be getting worse each spring thanks to my neigbhours massive pollen spewing bushes.. My sinus's are always blocked and eyes are itchy. A bit of a dry cough. My kids have runny noses and coughs.

Do I need to get particular types of hay fever medication, or will this suffice?

    Thanks

  • placed an order. This is a no brainer for people like me suffering from allergies. The other day I paid $11 for a 10 pack at Terry White for their generic fexo.
