  • Hi

Any deals on BYO GPU for Intel - 13700 maybe?

    • +3

      Hi Sainter,

Demand is quite low on this unfortunately compared to AMD platform due to pricing, unfortunately. However, happy to look into it and do an OzBargain worthy BYO GPU rig for you wit the 12700KF if that works for you? Let me know :).

      Lawrence

      • Hi Lawrence

Looking to pair with a 1080ti. Not sure if the 12700 is better than the 7800

        • +4

Do you mean 7800X3D? The 7800X3D is a much better CPU for gaming.

1080 Ti is fine, should work well with these AMD BYO rigs. 12700KF is also well more than enough.

          Let me know your thoughts.

    • I'd like the 13700 as well, not everything I do is gaming. :P

  • What about with the G Products 8600G/8700G?

    • +3

Still a bit expensive currently, market trend seems like people are still after GPUs for gaming but will definitely dabble a little and see in future :).

  • +1

    Hey Lawrence
Thanks for all the great deals. For Typhoon Elite, would you recommend the gold 750W PSU upgrade?
Likely GPU would be RTX 4070S or lower.

    • +2

Hmn, I think not necessary unless you want better energy efficiency and branding. It won't make any performance difference but many people do opt for the gold PSU :).

Any questions please let me know!

  • Hey Lawrence. I purchased the wrong one. Can you please redo my order.

    • +1

      Hi Simoun,

I replied to your email :).

  • +6

Good concept with byo GPU. Would grab it but don’t have the cash atm

    • +4

All good! No rush at all, you'll know when the time is right brother!

  • +2

What GPU do people recommend for these? Any insight would be great.

    • +1

Typically people would be using their own ones from their existing system so they don't need to spend too much on a new rig!

    • +1

I have a 4070 Super with the 7500F processor and I purchased a 27inch 1440p monitor for it which seems to suit this combo (rather than trying to push a 4k monitor which may need a better GPU/CPU combo).

  • I really need ASUS motherboard tho, could you help swap?

    • +1

Which one after you after? We have some ASUS A620M AYW's and higher end ASUS ROG STRIX B650's as well, stock is quite limited and not on our site for this reason.

      Lawrence

      • I need Asus B650M please

        • We don't have this sorry, our best-priced B650M would be MSI at this stage. Our only ASUS B650 series motherboard would be the higher-end B650-a ROG STRIX. May I ask why in particular an ASUS B650M motherboard? I just wanted to understand the market as everyone's needs vary greatly :).

            • @Kawaii: No problem, does the ASUS A620M AYW suit? This would be the closest substitute and should work with your thunderbolt 4 card.

              • -2

                @Nebula PC: A620M won’t support TB4.
I’m aiming specially for one Asus model:
B650M-plus, can you sort it out for me

                • +2

@Kawaii: I can order this one in but pricing will be similar to retail as we aren't getting bulk discounts but will still fair well with our whole BYO GPU build. Let me know if okay and we can organise a custom order.

                  • -5

@Nebula PC: How much would the board be? And how much extra do I need to pay comparing to the first few you are giving to me?

                    • +1

@Kawaii: Will be roughly $200 more for the 7500F BYO Typhoon rig :).

                      • -8

@Nebula PC: What’s the price of the deal if I don’t need board from you guys? I can get the board for $270 myself, happy to assemble myself.

                        • +3

@Kawaii: We would prefer if we could do the assembly as we can guarantee it's working and reduce any kind of hiccups along the way. This would be best for us please as we've had some poor experiences in the past allowing self builds. It results in more time and money spent for us, unfortunately. Hope you understand!

                            • +8

@Kawaii: I think there's a misunderstanding, the board is $319 lowest SRP and I mentioned earlier we can't get a bulk discount on this SKU as we aren't stocking it. The gap will be larger than usual from our base board as we get a bulk discount for thousands that we order. Please understand this.

No sorry, we need to order it so we can provide full warranty coverage for you. It will complicate our comprehensive warranty as we didn't supply all parts.

                                • +30

@Kawaii: I have brother and the gap is $200 if we have to order in a single unit. If this is not suitable for you, I strongly advise you to purchase and build yourself as I believe we aren't the right fit for you. I have really tried to get your business but there needs to be a middle ground and understanding between us, please. Even with $200, you are still saving a lot on the overall bundle without a GPU. This is practically going cost to cost. You are the only customer requesting this and unfortunately, I have to accept that we can't win all business. This is okay for me, at least I tried my best. There are endless combinations in this industry.

                                  • +5

@Nebula PC: You have the patience of a saint! (and very diplomatic)

                                    • +1

@SJDR: They definitely dont want this person as a customer, every computer/laptop all they ask is thunderbolt 4🤣

  • Which GPU best value for video editing and design + some gaming on the Typhoon?

  • Are you happy to add a gpu if purchased at the same time ?

    • +5

Do you mean supply your own? You're more than welcome to but as there's no margin on the GPU for us we'll just need to charge a small labour fee to cover wages. These kind of deals are all volume-based, there are honestly single digit margins on them for us. Anything that could hinder our operational process will impact us sorry :(. Hope you understand!

      • I meant it we order a new GPU at the same time would you be happy to install?

        Thanks

        • +2

          Asked and answered.

  • Any chance of just a motherboard, cpu and ram bundle?

    • +1

No problem, could you please email me and we'll sort you out with an awesome OzBargain price? :D

      • What email should I use

      • Can I get a quote for the following as well?
        CPU, RAM, MOBO

        • Please email me, we can work it out :).

  • Selecting Ryzen 5 7500F downgrade, which if you select over the 7800X3D doesn't change the system's price at all? And then downgrading to the 7700X also costs an extra $349.00 for some reason?

    Too confusing…

    • +2

Sorry, this is a configuration error on the 7800X3D, you shouldn't be able to see the CPUs below - they should be hidden. Fixing now.

      • Ok phew!

        • +1

          Done!

          • @Nebula PC: No chance you could swing a 7950X3D BYO build at some point though? Starting a digital animation course next month and would love the productivity headroom ;)

            • @monky: No, this is definitely not possible as demand and sell through for 7950X3D BYO build is little to none. Sorry about that, the best we can offer would be an upgrade to the 7950X3D :). Hope you understand!

  • Would the 7800 deal fit my 4090 gigabyte?

    • Yes if you upgrade the case to one that permits, 4090 is quite a large card!

      • So what case would you recommend from your line up. Also anyway to ditch the power supply?

        • Depending on what you like, for premium end and ease to work on would be the Lian Li range. If more budget-friendly and great value, the DarkFlash DK352 should fit the 4090 but please double-check the lengths on both the case and GPU. They fit our 4080 Supers so I'd assume 4090 shouldn't be an issue.

      • @Nebula PC

Are you sure this board will fit a triple slot card? The PCI slot is lower than some boards and will intefere with the connectors and airflow will be severely limited.

        • Yes confident it will fit, we've fit 4080 Supers with no issues with connectors or airflow. You will just need to opt for a case that is on the larger end to allow for GPU fitment and better airflow.

          • @Nebula PC: Which micro-ATX case would you recommend for a 4070Ti based on the available options?

  • Hi there Nebula,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but whats the difference between the two motherboards cause thats a pretty big price jump for the next one?

    • The main difference is more features like USB slots, better VRMs and BIOS settings. For the general user it won't make much difference.

  • Damn it, just ordered a new pc from Bpc for $1437 with

    Intel Core i5-12400F
ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4060 Ti OC Edition 8GB
    ASUS PRIME B660M-A WIFI D4 LGA 1700 Micro-ATX Motherboard

I would have taken your system system.

  • with AMD 9000 CPUs expected release July 31st when do expect them to actually hit the Australian supply chain? have your suppliers given a timeframe yet?

    • Should be pretty quick I'd imagine from release date :).

      • so BYO GPU deals for AMD 9000 systems incoming also?

  • I am interested, I already have a 2T PCIE4 SSD, can I have a rig minus the SSD?

    • Yes, we can organise that. Could you please email me and I will arrange a custom order?

  • White case pic in thumbnail! 😅 Jokes, who cares!? This build it sweet. Thanks Lawrence.

    • +1

Haha yeah default case is white :). Thanks legend!

  • Great idea with the BYO GPU. I bought a pre-built 4090 PC with a 13400 processor about a year ago. I would eventually upgrade to something like this once the processor starts to lag.

  • Is there space to add my existing M2 as well rather than try and clone it?

    • Yes, there's a second M.2 slot on the motherboard you can use :).

  • This is a great idea!!!

    • Cheers! :D

  • Does this come with operating system?

    • +1

No OS, this is how we can pass on the best savings to give you the best deals :).

  • Love the 6400MHz RAM on the X3D. Wonder if it's worth getting this and waiting for a 4080 deal like the $1400 one on eBay recently rather than buying a complete 4080 system.

    • Haha it might be if you can take advantage of those deals! Definitely some pros and cons but of course that decision should be left to you :).

  • How about I move the 3070 from my EGPU box into this $1098 box while I save up for a new video card?

    • +1

I have 3060ti with my EGPU as well and thinking of doing the same. But then I will need to sell off my laptop and EGPU enclosure which seems almost impossible

      • My 2020 laptop's probably worthless because the keyboard doesn't function properly after the old battery expanded and put pressure on it. Replaced the battery and began using the laptop with peripherals as a desktop. I'd have a Core X Chroma to sell though.

  • What kind of configuration is suggested for running machine learning, data science code or training models etc. ?

    • Likely very high-end NVIDIA 4080 SUPER and above paired with a high-end CPU as to my knowledge they are CUDA core and CPU hungry. These kinds of things the more you spend the more you will get, the sky is the limit, especially with machine learning.

  • I've got a Thermalright PS120SE Cooler that I bought recently, its dimensions are 13.5L x 12.5W x 15.4H cm. Would it fit these builds at all if I were to replace the coolers provided?

    • Yes it should :).

  • +3

Consider using the Peerless Assassin SE for future 7800X3D builds at only $10 more, but with vastly superior cooling performance over AG400.

  • For $1100, you’re getting a banger CPU AND an iGPU, so at least you can game for a while until you get a better GPU.

  • It’s hard to follow the MSI website and how they lay out the information but it seems like the included motherboard only has one NVMe slot?

  • Hi Store Rep, If I bring you my old PC, can you swap over the liquid cooler and the SSD drives? Want to move over my windows 11.

    • +1

Sure, no problem. There'll just be a small labour cost :). Let me know when you're ready to proceed.

  • Lawrence what is your favourite pizza topping?
