    OMEN seems like good value

    • :D

  • Its recommended to use 750W PSU with RX 7800 XT, Viper has 650W.
    Would it be enough?

    • +4

It's enough, we've done a lot of testing for this kind of system with the 7800XT and have sold dozens with 650Ws and it's more than enough. The recommended wattages are always above what is actually needed to give the manufacturers more leeway if it comes to any problems with certain configurations. Say for example you pair it with a very power-hungry CPU, then it likely won't be enough. I'd assume a lot of customers would go back and blame the vendor as they recommended less than what was needed.

If you experience any issues, we'll take care of it all.

  • Any chance of getting the B650M-P back sometime soon? Would jump on the Omen but 2 ram slots makes baby Jebus cry.

(okay fine, makes my spaghettified Factorio base cry)

    • +1

I know I know, it's one of those things where we can save you money with little compromise. B650M-P has no Wi-Fi/BT and the four DIMM slots usually don't serve much of a purpose for most customers, but understand where you come from.

Good news though! I just did a quick stock count and we have a couple of B650M-P's left, I've updated our system to reflect this. It's available on the Omen now, not sure how long before someone snatches it though haha.

  • +3

Been saving for months to get one of these deals and finally committed tonight. Could not be more chuffed. Got the Omen as a first time PC gamer. Any idea how long it will take to be delivered? I'm too excited!

    • Thank you for your support Joe! Our ETA is bang on and we're so packed during this period of time.

Our despatch times are 7-10 business days from the order date, each system is hand-built meticulously and we have hundreds in the backlog. Once despatched delivery is extremely fast as we use express couriers only.

The following are our estimated delivery time frames with our couriers after despatch:
Metro Sydney – Same-day delivery (for business addresses, authority to leave and customers available to take delivery)
Blue Mountains, Central Coast, Wollongong, and Newcastle - Same-day delivery (for business addresses, authority to leave and customers available to take delivery)
All other non-listed major regional town in NSW - Next business day
Metro Melbourne – Next business day
Metro Brisbane – Next business day
      ACT – Next business day
Metro Adelaide – 2 business days
      Tasmania – 3-4 business days
Metro Perth – 4-5 business days
Northern Territory – 5-7 business days

Apologies for the wait, we're working as fast as we can towards your order :).

      Cheers,
      Lawrence

      • Don’t apologise, keep up the good work! I’m gonna be counting down the minutes, thanks for the quick response.

      • Any chance we can coordinate dispatch for metro sydney to confirm someone will be at the delivery address?

        • Yes, absolutely. We can time delivery for Metro Sydney very well as local couriers are much easier to manage compared to interstate. All consignments require a signature for delivery anyway, none are to be left authority to leave no matter the circumstance.

Please email me your preferred delivery dates and we'll sort it out! :)

          Lawrence

  • Also picked up the Omen, thanks Nebula!

    • +1

You're the best brother! Thank you for your support :).

  • Anyone upgrading anything withheld on the omen or Gekko?

    • I upgraded the memory, PSU and got another SSD but those are just personal preferences

  • The Sova is exactly what I wanted, thank you Nebula. Just hope there will be a deal like this near Christmas or black friday.

    • Awesome! Fingers crossed for that time period, definitely lots of deals like EOFY.

  • Is it worth updating to the Antec P20C case? Or does it not make any sense to have a mid-tower case with a mATX motherboard?

    • +1

It depends on your preference and needs, we put the option there so you have the choice. I think if you want a larger case to work on and have better capability to upgrade and swap parts around it's a good choice. Airflow is great as well in such a large case with that many case fans. Mid tower case with an mATX board is fine, makes sense if you need the extra features and maybe if you plan on swapping for an ATX/EATX.

Any questions please let me know!

  • Just wondering why this got removed from the front page. Is it because of the low clicks?

    • Okay, now its back on the home page. o.o?

      • Haha, I haven't noticed but I think sometimes it bugs out, I'm not too certain on how the algorithm works exactly. What I am certain of is pumping out the best deals for EOFY for OzBargain :D.

  • Can the two cheapest build drive two 4k monitors at full resolution simultaneously? It will be an office machine.

    • Yes, as long as it's for office and productivity work it won't be an issue. For 4K gaming, it will struggle. Do your monitors support both HDMI and Display Port input? Typically, these new generation GPUs only have one HDMI output and the rest are DP :).

      • Yes the monitors has hdmi and dp. I assume dp from the video cards can output 4k?

  • So if I don't check the "Shipping Insurance ($27.26) - Protect your order from shipping damage, loss, or theft." box, damage, loss, or theft won't be covered?

    • Unfortunately, the courier only covers up to $100 unless we pay the extra fee for full coverage of the system cost :(. The shipping insurance charge is passed onto the courier for their complete coverage.

  • kinda fire ngl. the 7800x3D is solid af, eveytho ryzen 5 is coming and 5000RTX on the line, given the time frame, this is as good as aussie market can get today.

    • ya :D

  • Deciding between Viper and Sova for my first PC. I don't game much but like to play the sims, I also use photoshop and edit videos sometimes. Any insight would be great!

    • +1

I'd go with a Sova but even then the 4070 Super is well beyond what you need, you can go with a 7500F and RTX 4060 system instead and save some coin! Unless you plan on playing on 1440P and AAA titles outside of the Sims, something like this - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/846057 will be more than enough! :)

      • Thanks for the honesty!

  • +1

Perfect timing. Was looking for a new gaming PC for my son for his 18th. Got the Gekko with upgrade motherboard, ram and cooler. Great price. Thanks

    • +1

Cheers, thank you for your support! :D

  • genuine question. Is it okay to purchase the 7800X3D system now or wait for the new AMD CPUs?

I was about to purchase one from Nebula a couple of weeks ago and then saw the news about the new AMD CPUs. haha.

    • +1

It's still the fastest best value gaming CPU on the market, even when the new CPUs are released the price to performance won't be as good as now. 7800X3D systems for us are still going like hotcakes despite the news about 9000 series CPUs. Even AM4 5000 series CPUs are still going fast with the new platform already out. IT is a fast-moving industry and as of now, best value for price to performance is still the 7800X3D for gaming.

  • Hi OP, I'm interested in the OMEN. How loud or quiet does it run? Anything I can add or change to make it as quiet as possible?

    • +1

It's quiet, it only has one rear exhaust case fan. GPU and stock cooler is fine, you can go to an aftermarket air cooler if you'd like it to be a little bit quieter.

  • I'm actually after something quite different, does anyone make much much cheaper machines/refurbs. Really just wanting something in the $500 ish space that isnt top end by any means but still has something with a little more oomph than the usual integrated graphics setup. Does anyone make those/is there something basic you could get and then thrown in some new graphics/faster ram/ssd etc?

My real gaming is on my Xbox so not interested in going higher end for a desktop.

    • Very high risk with these refurbished components with warranty for businesses so not many are around, better to purchase from the second-hand market like on Facebook Marketplace. Our best rig would be our 5600G integrated graphics rig.

      • Cheers for the advise, yes I imagine refurbs would be quite a nightmare these days. Thank you for the advice.

        Assume you mean this one
        https://www.nebulapc.com.au/products/zero

Is there a slot for a dedicated card should we decide to upgrade later?

        • This one for OzBargain - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/849393 :).

Yes, there's a PCIE slot for a GPU if you decide to install one later!

Any questions please let me know.

          • @Nebula PC: Cheers, pulled the trigger. Do you have a reccomended upgrade pathway for this kind of machine, ie which next steps would = most bang for buck

            • @mackaxx: Thank you for your support!

Really just a GPU! RTX 4060 would be awesome if the budget allows :).

              • @Nebula PC: Ok, will keep it in mind for a next step. This will do for now though. Cheers

              • @Nebula PC: Arrived yesterday and very happy. System packed very well, and was nice and neatly put together internally, thanks to the team for getting it setup.

                • @mackaxx: Thanks legend :). Anything we can do for you please let us know!

  • Which PC would be suitable to run warzone (mainly resurgence) at 1440p? And would anyone recommend upgrades on PSU or Ram or motherboard?

    • Gekko would be perfect for it on Ultra settings, upgrading RAM to 6000MHz will see more performance :). PSU and motherboard won't make any difference, if any it'll be marginal from the motherboard. From our setup and options at least!

      • Hey Nebula - I'm considering the Gekko or Sens options you've posted. You got any non-RGB stock for 32gb?

  • wish I had the money to buy

    • Soon! You'll know when the time is right :).

  • Thinking of either the Omen or Icarus on Nebulas website. Wondering if the extra money is worth it for the Icarus in the long run(More ram and faster I believe) ? I prefer the look of the Icarus as well. Interested to hear any thoughts I've got no real experience with PCs

  • Ahh damn it. Had been considering the Gekko with the gpu changed to the MSI 4070s as it was $0.

Now it's $100 instead. Oh well, keep waiting

    • The price difference between old and new stock sorry :(. It's the same the GPU.

  • Great value OP.

Potential buyers just be careful with stock wraith cooler on the 5600. Mine was running consistently at 92c until I bought a noctua fan to bolt to a little tower cooler and now temps don't go above 70c

  • Will a Wifi pcie x1 card fit in the Sova build? I don't trust USB WiFi adaptors.

    • Doesn't seem like it unfortunately. The 4070 Super is quite a beefy card and it will cover the second PCIE slot. I would suggest going with a Wi-Fi motherboard if possible!

      • Would but it is to out of budget. I also am looking for a friend so less lenience with the budget. Might consider a 4060 ti build instead.

  • I've very close to pullling the trigger. Started with the Gekko but I'm just playing with the configuration options on the Nebula website. Finding myself wanting to upgrade just about everything: the case (to an Antec P20C), the CPU (Ryzen 9 7900X), the RAM (16GB feels a bit stingy in this day and age), the power supply (thought I'd go with the MSI Gold), and the SSD (the AData seems to get much better speeds). Total price after all these upgrades and after shipping and insurance is $2532. Any thoughts on these upgrades? My justification is that I buy a new PC very, very seldomly - my current desktop is a 1st gen i7!

    • Haha if 1st gen i7 even with the base model without any upgrades it will be a day and night difference! It all depends on your budget and needs, with those kind of upgrades I imagine you are doing a lot of productivity work?

      • More just a case of wanting to buy something that will last many, many years (hopefully as long as my 1st gen i7)! But it'll be used for a mix of everything (including gaming and AI).

        • +1

Understand, then of course I'm sure you know with these kind of things the more spend the better it gets haha. If you have any questions please let me know but from those upgrades that you mentioned earlier, you're on the right track. If it fits your budget then you can't go wrong!

          • @Nebula PC: Thanks, I've just ordered. Ended up sticking with the 7800X3D after a bit more research, as apparently the extra cache makes a big difference for gaming performance. Also went with the Lian Li Lancool 216 instead of the Antec as it apparently has better airflow - and though it's louder at idle I'm hoping I can adjust the fan speed at idle.

            • +1

@Just: Awesome! Thank you for your support! Yes, the Lancool fans are PWM ones meaning they can be adjusted as they're connected to the motherboard.

  • @Nebula PC I bought the Gekko on Thursday night with no upgrades (except some extra case fans) but I've realised I probably want to upgrade the PSU in it… Is it still possible for me to edit the order before it's shipped (I think it hasn't shipped yet)? I understand if it's too late to upgrade though.
    Thanks in advance!

    • +1

      Hey Legend,

I think you sent us an email about this? Please email me if you haven't yet! I'm working on the changes today and sending you the difference :).

      Lawrence

      • @Nebula PC Cheers! Just sent you an email

        • +1

          Received!

          • @Nebula PC: Hey @Nebula PC I just wanted to check if there's anything else I need to do on my end? Just double checking since I haven't received any email back (tho I know you received mine thank you)

            • +1

@SupAYYYer: I think I haven't received any upgrade emails for a PSU yet, I have replied to every email. Could you please email me again or maybe PM me with your order number so I can look into it? Sorry for the trouble!

  • Hey @Nebula PC, It's the busiest time of the year, what's your ETA on pickup and deliveries?

    • Still roughly 7-10 business days :).

  • Hey @Nebula PC
Is there a rough date on when this deal expires?
Just waiting on a paycheck to come through before I decide on grabbing one of these

    • Until we sell out, stock is going super quick for EOFY currently! All rigs are priced to sell :).

  • Do you offer Click & Collect?

    • Yes, please select the pick up option in check out. Pick up is available at our Bankstown workshop :).
