  • Do these motherboards come with WiFi support?

    • +1

No Wi-Fi on either of them, you can add a Wi-Fi dongle or upgrade the motherboard to the B650M Mortar with Wi-Fi/BT :).

  • I need specs that impress people do I get 4080 super?

  • Hi Nebula PC, can you ship to NZ?

    • We have before but the problem is warranty issues, freight back and forth is very tricky for this reason. If there's an arrangement we can have to make it convenient for both of us then we can do it :).

  • What specs would I need for a racing simulator, what product would you recommend?

    • 1080P - RTX 4060
      1440P - RTX 4070 Super
      4K - RTX 4080 Super

The above would be a general guideline, plenty of deals live for all. Of course, budget is a factor, the higher you go the more performance you will get :).

Any other questions let me know.

      • In your BYO options doesn't the 650W PSU get ruled out if you want a RTX 4080 super?

I think it requires minimum 750W (or greater)

750W is pretty much the very minimum I would put in a PC for future expansion possibilities also.

But it's been a while since I've built so could be wrong :( Apologies if I am.

        • +3

Yes that’s correct however there’s upgrade options available to 750W/850W. To the best of my knowledge @bkillz was likely referring to the non BYO GPU systems and interested in a system with a GPU for their racing sim setup.

  • What games can the integrated graphics on 7800x3d support?

    • +2

      Minesweeper definitely

    • +1

Not much really, you'll definitely need a discrete graphics card for proper performance. It will suffice as a display temporarily but not much more than that.

Can play Fortnite on performance mode but very very limited with any graphically intense game.

      • Which GPU would you recommended at a minimum to pair and utilise with a 7800x3d?

        • 4070 Super and above in my opinion for the best performance for current generation, otherwise if you have an older 30 series GPU it will still perform much better on CPU intensive games :).

    • I know I'm late, but if you want to run through an Igpu, don't go for the 7800x3d. You'll either want a mini PC with a laptop chip, or the 8000s CPU.

If you're trying to do a two step upgrade process by buying the 7800x3d first, buy a second hand GPU like a rx580 for 100. Once you got your replacement GPU, you can sell the GPU for basically the same price

  • I'm not too studied up on PC cases themselves, but any pick of the bunch for those?
Are certain ones better for cooling/airflow?
Any help/recommendations would be appreciated. (:

    • Depends on what you're after! The general guidelines would be the below:
      1080P - RTX 4060
      1440P - RTX 4070 Super
      4K - RTX 4080 Super

For the best cooling, you can go for a good tower air cooler and a case with case fans.

      • Hey mate, apologies for any confusion, but I mean for the tower's case.

I think the Lian Li 216 seems to have the best reviews, so leaning towards that, but it's an extra $165 which is how much the case costs on its own anyways and doesn't factor removing the cost of the antec case it comes with, so still deciding the value atm.

Thank you for the quick response nevertheless though

        • +1

Oh right yeah then it really depends on budget, Lian Li would be our top-end choice. Lots of good reviews on Air Mini and Lancool. Otherwise, Antec is a good budget friendly choice.

  • +1

I have a RTX 3060, am eyeing the the 7800x3d deal. Any concerns with pairing these up?

    • +1

No concerns at all, would be completely compatible and just a plug-and-play experience :).

Just need to install some drivers for the GPU and that's it!

  • +1

    Amazing work!

  • Hey mate, I have a 1080ti Asus rog with a i5 6500 16gb ram.
I want to get your BYO deal, and pick up a 5090 next year. Anything you would upgrade for my plans or plenty?

Also, I have a a couple of ssd hd, and my own m.2. How many m.2 drives can your system take?

    • I'd say a case that can house the large GPU and at least an 850W PSU so it can run. Base motherboard ca intake 2 M.2 drives :).

Any other questions let me know!

      • Aweomse. How can I tell if my case is big enough for a 4090/5090?
Also. If I install my m2 with OS on your system will it boot? As in if I go bios and set to my drive will that be it?

        • If you search up the case model it will show you the max GPU length it will support :). Go off the typical lengths of a 4090 now to get an general idea what the next generation model might be in size, of course this won't be accurate but they have to release a product that users can install/fit.

Yes, it should provided the boot drive in BIOS is correct and it has been installed correctly!
