    that's linked back damn…

  • Special Discount 'EOFY2024' is invalid

    • Sorry it's "EOFY24"

      • ๐Ÿ‘

  • Can these pivot vertically? Thank you!

    • Yep, they sure can

      • -1

Thank you Bulk1! Got one myself…

Just double checking it is 12 months warranty on these aye? :)

        • Yep :)

            • +3

@deals007: Warranty is through the seller, not Philips.

              • @mynamewahhhwahh: True. But I have been advised to contact Philps as ACT won't provide warranty. I have emails with me. I also have raised a ticket with ACT Resolution Centre - Warranty, Payment & Return Disputes portal 6 months ago but no response yet. Didn't get time to raise it with fair trading.

            • +3

@deals007: Would you expect otherwise, considering youโ€™re knowingly purchasing a used item from a supplier?

            • +5

@deals007: You seriously negged the deal because you bought an out of warranty item with no manufacturer warranty?

              • +1

@Hinee: No. This is the email response I got for ACT when I raised the claim. "unfortunately we do not handle the warranty. You can contact Philips direct who may be able to help you."

                • +1

@deals007: I got lot of advice from Ozbargain community previously to process this claim. I didn't get time to hassle them continuously. Please see my previous post. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/815919
Warranty claim won't be easy with these guys if you get into touble.

  • Why is the default postage pickup lol…

  • I was holding out for a good deal on a bigger curved but this is so cheap, can't pass this up.

  • +5

using this one just be aware it's VA screen so colours and viewing angles arnt as pop but for cheap 4k office screen it will do

    • +5

Have one. Colours get a bit washed out off centre. Not as good as IPS. Also very slow to wake up. Using it as a screen for google chromecast and often has trouble waking up.

      • +10

Exactly the biggest issue I had with mine. By the time the screen wakes up I fall asleep.

        • +1

Sounds like a bonus to me ๐Ÿ˜„

      • I should have taken this feedback to heart. Grabbed a unit and realise I bought too much into OZB hype. The washed-out color really bugs me. On top of that, there's a mark on the screen.

    • Pros and cons. Better contrast than IPS. Felt a bit odd at first, but I like it.
The wake-up time is a pain.

    • Ah thanks for pointing that out. I think I can only deal with not IPS if you get the tradeoff of high refresh rate. But still, this is a great price for what it is regardless.

  • +1

I purchased these for my son last time and couldnt be happier, have bought some for myself this morning.

    • How many did you buy?

      • +1

Previously purchased two for my son and another two for me this time.

  • Any good for photo editing? Colour accurate?

    • For medium amount of work I would say yes . Else LG fine monitor tbh

    • +2

If you're doing it in a professional capacity, I would say not suitable. It's an ok monitor but the viewing angles and colours had me moving on.

    • +4

You would want to spend more on an IPS mate.

    • The new unit I bought achieved DeltaE < 1 after calibration with X-Rite i1Display Pro, so yes to colour accuracy and photo editing. Don't know how a refurb unit will measure though.

  • Placed order, thanks OP. Was bought one last year, bit bright background even set all black and not that sharp image, ok for office use but not good for professional photo/video editing I think. But as expected for a cheap VA screen.

    • +2

No way a 32 inch screen for under $200 is not good for professional photo editing

      • +1

Just considering the colour accurate. but you are right, who cares if buy a 32 inch screen with the price :)

  • +4

Sorry forgot to add, please allow a couple of days for shipping.

  • thanks OP

  • +1

Great for Office Work with multiple windows and documents
Would probably do 1, 3,4-6 for the power users if you have the mounts.
I think our lads in the investment firms have 6 with charts/data in the peripheral monitors with work in the central monitor, task lists on the secondary monitor and communications in another secondary monitor.

    Good power set up.

  • Any good as a cheap tele?

    • Any good for the boy to play his Xbox on?

      • +4

Would be fine, but he'll need a set of external speakers or headphones as the inbuilt speakers in this are a bit shit (but lucky to get speakers at all in an office monitor).

      • It has HDMI input but a volume control is a couple of steps deep in a fiddly touch menu. For an input device that sets the volume on the HDMI level it is fine - just set your max volume on the monitor and adjust the device up and down.

For a firestick (that wants to learn your tv remote code for the volume buttons) it had no remote to emulate and doesn't control things at the HDMI level. A pair of Bluetooth edifiers or similar would be a perfect addition and a huge upgrade over any monitors sound. Just output sound via Bluetooth to the speakers and the firestick can adjust for any lag

The speakers themselves are listenable for YouTube etc. The deal is fantastic imho for work from home or a starter monitor for kids. The monitor stand lifts the screen quite high to allow a laptop below. Have bought for myself and family. For every comment on here bagging refresh rates, VA etc I have had someone walk in and say "wow that's a nice big screen" as a first reaction.

    • No remote, no tuner, shit speakers… so not really worth buying specifically for that purpose.

    • +1

You can get a (non-4K) 32" TV for free on Gumtree.

  • Got one, cheers!

  • I was going to joke about how many times I have seen this used deal to let users be aware until I opened it and saw the description….hahaha

  • Thanks OP, ordered for the folks. Does anyone know from previous deals roughly how long it takes before they post it out?

    • +3

They are been packed at the moment. So a day or two at the most.

      • Legend. Thanks mate

      • What kinda wait could you expect for pickup?

    • +1

I bought one last March via eBay, it posted out the same day but cost 6 days (including weekends) for arriving (inside the same city)

      • Thanks mate :)

        • Received the monitor this morning, super fast this time :) Just it labelled as Grade B with some more scratches on the black plastic surface, monitor itself functioning fine with minor light leaking on bottom corners. Contacting the seller for further details now

          • @sinosoar: That's what it says on mine as well.. Very confused… @Calmago

            • @OzBargainer4Eva: Please disregard those stickers, they should have been removed. They are part of the check-in process and don't reflect the way stock is sold.

  • Thanks OP. Too good to go past! Bought one.

  • I'm guessing these aren't gaming monitors?

    • +1

      60hz gaming.

      • Ohh yikes, no

  • bought one last time.

  • um… tried placed order with amex but system kicked me back to front page.

    no order confirmation or anything…

showing pending on my credit card though..

  • For office work, this, or 2 24in 1080p monitors?

    • +1

      2 of these of course.

I use 2 at work with my laptop screen off to the side too. It's pretty cool when you setup zones too in the Philips software (which I think uses some Microsoft PowerToys software called "FancyZones" for zones if you don't want to use the Philips software, it looks identical anyway).

    • Everyone has their own preferences. I used to have a single 34-inch monitor for my WFH setup, but I sold it and switched to using two 24-inch monitors, for the last two years, and it's been working great for me.

  • Given its "used", does it comes with manufacturer warranty or just warranty by the store?

    • +1

      the latter

    • +6

12 month return to base. I purchased one last time and it died within the period. After several emails back and forth with photos and videos showing the issue, they were kind enough to provide a full refund without incurring the cost to return.

  • Ordered two for Office admin work

  • @Calmago I am in Murrarie, if I order one now, would it be available for pickup today?

    • I can't guarantee that sorry. Orders (including this deal) are processed on a first come first serve basis.

      • Order placed. Fingers crossed.

  • "Sorry, we don't have enough 'Philips 328P6V 32" 4K LCD Monitor 3840 x 2160 HDMI DP VGA DVI (Philips328p6v-r)' in stock to fulfill your order: we have 0 available. Please change the quantity on order in your shopping cart and click update. Then try to checkout again."

Just as I was checking out argh.

  • the question I think should be why do they have so many "used" monitors of this particular model…(hmmm….)

    • +1

They would have came through large corporate and government leases, one large client at a single location would have 100s of them, so it's not surprisingly to get hold of 1,000s of them across multiple sites.

    • +3

Previously people reported the box has kind of department of education label and 99% new so yeah as usual the gov wasted tax payer money, buy too many and ended up not using and selling at peanut price to this refub companies, and we buy from them

      • Yep, mine came in a box that was for a DELL 32 inch I think and had the NSW dept of ed sticker and order details on it. So dept of ed obviously did an upgrade to Dell screen after only having them for a couple of years at most. I guess it might be a case of if you dont spend the allocated funds, then the next year you dont get allocated the funds again, leading to a lot of wasted taxpayer cash.

    • I'm guessing this is part/related to ACT logistics? Pretty much companies use them to dispose if assets so they don't have to deal with it. Likely an office or government department etc is upgrading the fleet.

  • +1

Just so people have the right expectations, I ordered around 6 of them before and they were usually damaged, like gap between joint panels, shakey bits inside the the monitor, and one of them the switch was completely stuck so I couldn't even turn in the monitor.. so that's $$ wasted.
Some monitors worked fine for a bit then time to time it displays static images similar to what you see in the old tv.

    • +1

really? i have 3 at home now and they are flawless. one even still has the marketing stickers on it

    • So you wouldn't recommend?

    • I only ordered one a year or more ago, but it was pretty much perfect condition. My only real gripe is a slow switch between resolutions and startup… I think its around 6-7 seconds.

    • I also get the static/scrambled display at times. I have to turn it off and on to fix it. Other than that, it has been working fine.

  • Sold out

    • -2

190 units in under an hour? Right…

      • Hour and a half, and I believe it

      • Well….I missed this deal previously and just ordered two this time. That might be a real number I guess?

        • +1

We have had thousands of these.

  • @Calmago are you expecting any more of these to go on sale?

I guess you don't know yet.

    • +1

Doubt it, i was shocked to find out that there were still some left after such a long period of time.

  • +4

I bought two, one was missing the stand but they did a partial refund and then I just bought a decent stand with a movable arm instead.

One flaw with these monitors is the power button is super hard to see in low light, so my fix was to put a sticker on the power button so you can feel it easily.

    • +2

That's a good tip! I ordered two this time and who knows, I may need this workaround, thanks for sharing!

      • +1

        Buy now think later

    • I forgot to add the buttons on the screen are touch and not physical buttons, so you hit the menu and setting buttons by accident when trying to find power.

  • -4

Given his cancer battle that may mean he can never tour again it might be time for a new joke should you get more stock.

John is a legend and I hope he's well enough to tour again, even if he never does.

  • Some people seems to have a bit of trouble with their screen from the previous sales (Some were new, some were Grade As and some were Grade Bs… But this time round given on their site it says "Refurbished - Grade A" It should be near brand new right?

    • I feel the same. Last time I ordered two. Unfortunately, one was returned due to a quality issue on the screen, and the misses took the other one…..I bought it for myself but end up getting none! So this time, I ordered another two and fingers crossed……

    • With refurbs, Grade A usually means functionally good as new. Being used, sights of wear and tear are to be expected.

Grade B usually indicates obvious cosmetic imperfections, or reduced functionalities such as worn batteries.

You wouldn't expect dints and scratches on things like monitors, as they sit stationary on a desk, but the removalists are usually quite rough, they have to unmount/remove and transport large number of equipment quickly, time was a priority, care was not.

  • How would these go on a monitor arm in a home music studio setup?

  • Missed this one OMG

  • damn miss it
