      I can't see how they could possibly advertise a "Wicked Wednesday" deal and not have a single item at opening on "Wicked Wednesday", worst case they back order it.

    Visited Macquarie Centre store, they were happy to offer me the SC version for the same price which stands for "Soft Case"? I googled a bit, seems no obvious difference except the soft case.

      I think the QC SC is the 2023 model. It's very similar to the 45 - has 2 more hours battery life and I think you can adjust the level of ANC from 1-10. Otherwise pretty much identical.

    I too got the Bose QuietComfort SE without the 45. They said it scanned (Probably using the same barcode) up as Bose QuietComfort 45 SE. Looking at one YouTube video, they basically are identical, although reviewer was happier with non 45s.

    2 hour extra battery life on the non 45s too. Another difference is they come with a mike on the audio cable.

    Is there any difference or is it the fact that any models of 45s made after 2023 only are marked as QuietComfort SE?

      Technically the 'Bose QuietComfort 45 SE' doesn't exist.

      The official name is 'Bose QuietComfort SE', which is a QC45 but with a soft case.

    Price match in store. The manager offered it to me when I complained no stock, yet I was in store at opening.

    I got a click and collect confirmation this morning at 8:30AM, then I was told out of stock just now on the phone (so, if you haven't picked yours up, go quickly!). They offered to replace with the Quietcomfort SC but that's also on backorder.

    Can anyone confirm 45 SC is as good as the SE? EDIT: Apparently SC is the newer version so I'm happy.

      The SC is the 'New' QuietComfort with a Soft Case.

      So shouldn't show up as QC45 in the app (and possibly show the new QuietComfort).

    Just avoided a shit show at Doncaster Jb. Order confirmed last night for C&C for x2 headphones , txt message received this morning at 8.30am ready for pickup. Went down at 10.30am only to be told by person at counter (after 10mins of trying to find my order) that as they had been over subscribed with orders that decision had been made to only give 1 per customer and would refund me the other order - and was this ok? I said no not good enough as had been paid and confirmed for collection, she got the manager and I held my ground and I said I would take an equivalent or better Bose headphone as a replacement - the manager just went into the cage for collections and took a headphone off an order of 4 (!) and gave me that one to make up my 2. So much for a limit of 1 for everyone!
    My advice for C&C - get down asap to get your order once confirmed, hold your ground if they can’t fulfill the order. I overhead one of the staff saying they had 78 orders for headphones at just that store, she also said wish she had gotten a pair at that price.

          Correct. The deal was so popular that it sold out before Wednesday hit. They are now offering it on those ones. Just in-store only.

              @cyrax83: Might wanna look at the RTINGS link. There are some very important aspects that the SC does better such as imagining, battery life and noise handling. The only thing it lacks over the SE is bass accuracy and peaks/dips.

          They do if you went in-store, this is because the online chat is price matching to receive that price which is not eligible for the coupon. If they just made the SC $164 in the normal website then you'd be able to use perks.
