6-week Early Bird Chip Pass was available for purchase until 5th June (originally until 24th) - 4-week Standard is available for a limited time only, until sold out.

For $10 get 4 weeks of Grilld chips. No other purchase required. Limit 1 per day.

Here’s how to get started:


  1. Buy the $10 Chip Pass via the Grill'd app or website. You can even head into your local Grill’d to get started – just ask one of our friendly staff when you get there.
  2. We’ll send over your Chip Pass! It'll land in your inbox and in your Relish account in just a few minutes. Allow up for 2 hours for it to land in your in box & Relish account.
  3. Scan the coupon at your local Grill’d (or any Grill’d) to redeem. For online delivery and pick-up orders, you can redeem it at checkout look for the exclusive Chip Pass app banner on your homescreen. .
  4. Get daily chips and dip.
  5. For six weeks.
  6. Avoid Seagulls while holding chips for best results.

The 4 or 6 week period will commence on the day of purchase and expire at the same time at which the Chip Pass was purchased on the 28th or 42nd day after purchasing respectively. For example, if the Early Bird Chip Pass was purchased at 10.03am on 22 May 2024, it will expire at 10:03am on 3 July 2024. If the Standard Chip Pass was purchased at 10:03am on 7 June 2024, it will expire at 10:03am on 4 July 2024.

  • Famous Grill’d Chips (Regular or Snack size)
  • Sweet Potato Chips (Regular or Mini size)
  • Zucchini Chips (Regular or Mini size).

And your pick of our dips: Herbed Mayo, Sweet Chilli Mayo, Tomato Relish or Chipotle Mayo.


The Chip Pass is available for purchase between 28 May 2024 and 24 June 2024 (unless sold out earlier) by adding the Chip Pass to a Grill’d order and paying the once off $10 fee. Chip Passes may be purchased in-restaurant or via the Grill’d Website or Grill’d App by adding the Chip Pass to the Relish Member’s cart. Chip Passes cannot be purchased via Grill’d Kiosk, for online orders at Grill’d Chadstone or third-party delivery platforms.

For purchases in-restaurant, the Relish Member must scan their Relish membership at the time of purchase for the Chip Pass to be linked to the Relish Member’s account. Proof of purchase must be provided for a Chip Pass to be linked to a Relish Member’s account at a later date.

The Chip Pass is available for purchase for existing Relish Members with a Relish Membership prior to 31st May 1st June 2024 between 28 May 2024 and 24 June 2024 (unless sold out earlier) for a limited time only, until sold out, by adding the Chip Pass to a Grill’d order and paying the once off $10 fee (public holiday surcharge may apply). Chip Pass not available to new Relish members who have joined on or after 1st June 2024.

  • Bought the pass at 9:23pm, still haven’t received the pass, not on the app either. Is anyone having the same issue?

    • Same bought just after 950pm no chip pass on app, also strange no relish barcode, I have logged a call no reply yet

      Hope the 42 days start today, not 28/05.

    My kids used to work at Grill'd and from chatting with old colleagues who still work there, they've changed their "normal" chips. I think, when they buy them frozen now, they've already been fried once at a lower temperature so the second fry in store makes them much crispier. I tried them on the weekend and they were great. I've always liked them but they used to be hit-and-miss depending on which pimply-teenager was on the fryer at the time. Apparently, now they are much more consistent.

    If I lived or worked near a Grill'd I'd get this deal for sure, but driving 15 mins to the nearest store doesn't sound appealing.

          • @G-rig: Right? I got the zucchini chips yesterday and the paper bag they were in was nearly see-through from oil, and there was a whole pool of oil in the bottom of the cup.

      No wonder! I've noticed the past two times I've went that the chips were much crispier and much nicer.

      That's how all frozen chips work and what all proper deep fried chips recipe say - you double fry chips. That's why frozen chips from supermarkets have always had oil in the ingredients - because they're pre-cook/pre-fried.

  • A genuine bargain - if you want them. Interestingly, in my household they are known as the worst chips you can get. They try and pretend to be healthy by having herbs on them. Each to their own though - enjoy!

    Bought it from the store yesterday evening with chips. Still no chip pass in my account :(.

    May be have to go to store today again to check why the pass has not been added to my account.

        I just came today. Still not sorted. They again gave me chips and dip but told me to come tomorrow to sort it out with manager.

        When they scan the membership, it shows free chips and then when they select it comes with the full cost at check out.

        Hopefully they can sort out tomorrow. Wasti g lots of time to sort it out.

        • So when we order the pass in store it does not come through. No email, no pass in app, no sms. The only way they know that we have purchased is when they scan the relish membership card. Thanks for your quick response. Now I know what to expect tomorrow at the store.

            @io: Sorry, i am not sure about the system. It is very confusing that they are able to see or not.

            Sometimes they said that it is not coming up in the system and once she told me that it comes as free chips but at checkout it is full price.

            So just go tomorrow and let me know how you go.

        I also purchased the pass in person yesterday and it hasn't come up. I'll visit tonight for chippies and enquire about the pass. I'll report back!

      • No resolution. It was really busy so I didn't want to take up too much of their time. They just put through the chips for me because they didn't know how to fix it. I have used the website's contact form to flag the issue.

    • Same, bought chip pass in person on the day the deal started. No email confirmation, no SMS, no pass in the app. But somehow it's linked via phone number on their cash register in store and it's showing that I've bought the pass.

      So far I've been able to claim chips on day 0 and the next day.

      • For these deals in the future, I'd say it's safest to purchase via the app to reduce the chance of things not linking up properly.

            @yoshiiiii: I did the pass and chips (in one order) via app. The pass didn't appear until about two hours later, but it seemed like I could order another chips at $0 using the pass (didn't go through with it though).

            So it seems like you could actually get 43 serves for $10 (two on the first day).

            I think that's what happened for me. I didn't read how to claim the deal, I just assumed they'd know how to put it though. They asked for phone number but not relish barcode so it's kind of linked but not properly linked.

            Anyway, they let me claim today's chips!

              Yup, the lady scanned my relish barcode and put the pass through the til. Unfortunately it's still not linked :/ At least they are pretty chill and will put the order through in anyways :)

              Hopefully they fix it for everyone because I said that many people are experiencing the issue.

                Good one, yes, hopefully they can fix it. My store said they'd report the issue to support.

      Yep. I didn't get an email so I downloaded the app. Pass is on my app after restarting it.

      • I've deleted and reinstalled the app, and still no pass.

  • How do you order the pass without initially ordering chips? The only way to purchase the pass is through a click and collect but I don't want the chips right now? Hope this makes sense

      If you buy the pass without selecting chips, you forfeit the chips for that day.

      You can just not select chips and click next, works on desktop.

    • I just got the pass without selecting chips and dips, ignored the pickup time. Once the pass was in my account and app (it was instant for me), I ordered chips and dips through the pass. It'll say $10.11 then a discount of $10.11 so $0.

      • Nope the email just looks like a standard order with 1 x $10 Chip Pass and the chips I ordered. But isn't hard to calculate 42 days from the email.

    My local is within local shopping centre, which I frequent :) Went instore, scanned app barcode, paid $10 and got chippies. Email with Chip Pass came while I was waiting for chippies. Yums! Mondays will be dangerous, two for one burgers and free chippies, LOL! Thanks OP!

    I should've expected it's the smallest portion possible. Perhaps the selection of chips while purchasing the voucher was misleading - it included all types and sizes. Which you skip anyway while getting the voucher, I know.

    I don't think I can be bothered making extra trips to Grill'd just to get more rubbish than actual food. And I have a couple of Grill'ds around.

        Need to avoid after school hours e.g. 3:30pm to 4:30pm as well since students would be the sort to actually go every day (apart from Ozb of course).

    • How can you tell? I've seen other people picking up app orders, but it's in a bag so you can't see what they've got….

    Bought the chip pass on the first day, didn’t have any problem. Annoyingly can’t figure out how to order through the app and apply the coupon. Everytime it just says Cannot Apply Coupon. I don’t really want to have to go into store to order then wait around for the chips to be ready

      • Did you actually try adding the voucher while ordering the chips? We're talking ordering chips the next day after purchasing the pass.

        Also isn't working on my ios app, depsite the voucher being suggested by the app when chips are in the cart.

        I had to order at the counter when I arrived.

          Working perfectly fine on IOS for me. There's a specific item in the menu for the offer you have to add. Scroll right down to the bottom of the chips menu. You can then choose the chips/dip you want. Then apply the coupon at checkout.

  • Bought my second chips today (day 2), I'm wondering if they are going to shorten or cancel the deal?

  • Still not getting coupon in my app, so manager had to manually set up on POS. Apparently should get the coupon through the app otherwise was told to purchase on phone and get a refund on store.

        I bought the pass in restaurant yesterday but no voucher still today. Went back to same store and the manager did it through POS and said coupon should load in app now, if not return to the same restaurant and buy it through phone app and they will refund $10.

    Two Days of sweet Potato, and tomorrow will be a third.

    4 days a week I'll be using this, when I'm right next to a Grill'd store.

  • I tried the sweet potatoes and didn't like it. That prob gave a bad first impression of this deal. Im gonna try the 'famous' chips to see if it's worth this hype.

  • I think this can be combined with the Mad Bunday deal - 2 for 1 burgers on Mondays, dine in, when your AFL or NRL team wins their last match! I can't find anything on the contrary in the terms of this deal.

    EDIT: Had a look at the Mad Bunday terms - "Offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offer or discount unless otherwise stated." Damn.

        Saw in a comment above that you have to go all the way down in the chip section to the chip pass item, and do that instead of chips and dip separately

    • Looks like they've made it unavailable in the app.
      It should work but they aren't letting you get it through there. You have to queue.

      Alternatively, on the desktop you can scroll to the end of the chips section, find something called chip pass, and use that to pre-order.

    Tried it out and the chip cup has definitely gotten smaller than the last time I went a few months ago.

    Normal price for a regular chips and dip is so not worth it

    Just got told in store that they have “sold out” of chip passes - wintergarden, brisbane.

    Apparently if you redeemed it already you are good to go but not selling anymore

    Apparently they've suspended the promo Australia wide

      That sucks, thanks for posting.

      I'm assuming they have a marketing budget for this promo. It seems counterintuitive to have this promo and then suspend it, generating the opposite of the goodwill they were probably trying to achieve.

      But it looks like (at least some) other stores are still honouring existing chip passes so this may be a Fairfield Vic issue.

    As I went to pick up my fourth day in a row of chips, heard a store employee in Victoria tell staff that the chip pass is now "sold out" and to tell people at the counter that they can't buy new ones…

    He said people with existing chip passes can still redeem them though

          i’m a fan of their zucchini chips - great alternative to potato, but besides being oily, unfortunately quality also more variable, perhaps more difficult to cook well - Woolworths now have Jase's Kitchen Crumbed Zucchini Wedges, which are a good copy - both gluten-free:)
