Snack chips must be absolutely tiny.

$15 bucks for a burger meal of small fries and drink?? Never had bettys burgers before and this deal is not even appetizing at all..

    • +15

Personally had multiple burgers here and think it's pretty worth for the deal.

      • +17

I just ordered two burgers and milkshake at five guys for $45.

Being the best fast food joint betty's is even better so is totally worth it.

Hell $15 barely gets you a burger and chips at McDonald's.

        • +5

5 guys is THE biggest ripoff and such an anti-Ozb establishment lol

          • +1

@gud2cu: You're right five guys is such a ripoff. But I last had five guys three years ago and just thought five guys might be worth trying again.

        • +1

$16.15 gets you the large classic Angus meal at McDonald's. I think I'd just rather pay the extra $1.15 to have the large drink and large chips. The difference in burger taste is subjective but of similar appeal.
Additionally store locations are generally easier to get to.

@SonOfATightASS: McDonald's is obviously a low tier burger joint while Betty's is obviously a mid tier burger joint.

This is similar to complaining a barista made coffee doesn't cost the same as saying 7-Eleven coffee.

Betty's being more expensive reflects the difference in the quality of the ingredients that all.

              • +1

                @SonOfATightASS: How?

'You said taste is subjective but of a similar appeal"

That reads as you classing both Betty's and McDonald's as the same quality of burger joint.

Now that might not be what you meant, but that's how it reads.

                • @MomentOfTruss: I specifically wrote about 1 burger, the classic angus'. I stated that specific burger price comparison. The taste comment was specifically about that 1 burger not the Mcdonald menu and directly followed the previous statements. I don't see any ambiguity.

                  • +2

@SonOfATightASS: You're right, the Classic Angus does cost more than other McDonald's burgers.

But, Betty's Burgers are better than McDonald's because they’re made fresh; not frozen. This is just one of the ways Betty's burgers are better.

Betty's also use higher-quality ingredients, such as better buns and whole lettuce, contributing to a better burger.

        • Huh? $2 Macca's cheesburger and small fries isn't even $6
Betty's is ok, I've had it a few times but their burgers are TINY!

IMO - > Can't beat an old school fish and chip shop for a decent (well priced too) burger

          • @Maz78: Now you're being absurd.

A McDonald's cheeseburger is no where near a Betty's burger.

      • Totally agreed

    • +1

I've had these deals before and although it isn't bargain basement prices, it is a good price for a premium burger with sides. It's at least on par with McDonald's Angus and probably slightly better.

Another thing to note is their small sizes are a bit larger than McDonald's. Their small drink is 450ml, whereas McDonald's is said to be around 300ml (although it think this is an older measurement). Fries for the snack size seem the same in kJ as McDonald's small

    • +2

It’s nothing exciting, just a standard burger chain with marketing that has convinced people it’s worth the extra money.

    • +3

Just a heads up also, the burgers are really small.
How small I hear you ask!. Think McDonalds Junior burger small.

      • I didn't find it small at all? Definitely felt bigger than a Big Mac anyway. Maybe on par with the old Quarter Pounder size

    • You've never had Betty's and don't like the deal. I have, and the burgers were about average, and way over priced (even buy 1 get one free)!
Agreed, this deal is not tempting at all.

        lol

Deal expires 02/02/2025 for anyone wondering

    • +1

Thanks I will update the post

  • +2

These burgers are nothing special imho… Way overpriced especially their regular price

    • Definitely, they're tiny. I could eat 2 meals and still be a bit hungry.

  • +1

It's still a lot cheaper at mc Donald's omg

  • -1

Doesn't deserve to be on Oz bargain.

  • 1 x Betty's Classic $12.9
    1 x Small Drink $4.3
    1 x Snack Fries $4
Total: $21.2 —> $15 (~30% saving, if you are ok with the meal set and downloading the app and making an account)

They could have been more generous with the deal saying 50% for their new app customers.

  • Had the deal for lunch at Doncaster today. Burgers were excellent and miles ahead of Grill'd and Royal Stacks.
The kids deal for $16 is ok as well
