  • Hey Luke, is it possible to add optional fans for the P20C? Looking at its spec only 3x front fans come with the case, I'd prefer not having to stuff around mounting the rear exhaust and two bottom intakes.

The 14900kf build looks like ripper value.

    • My order with the same case arrived with a rear Allied black non rgb fan installed. YMMV

    • The rear exhaust definitely comes with and the liquid cooler will be top mounted, meaning front top and rear is preinstalled. Not sure the bottom two would do all that much or be required, but we don't have the same fans in spare, just the ones that come with case and cooler so bottom would need to be mounted post purchase.

  • Are PNY cards any good in terms of quality, performance, heating and long term usage? Does any one have experience with the cards? I wanna hit the button but somewhat skeptical about the brand

  • Still don't understand why this is so cheap. Also why doesn't the website have any contact details or abn number etc.

    • +6

Builders are able to get bulk parts for cheaper and are able to pass on the savings to consumer, they aren't paying RRP. They probably don't make much of a margin on these and it's more of a numbers game. As for contact details unsure but I'm guessing they're a fairly small team so easier to have a query system.

    • +1
      • Wait techfast = allied?

        • +2

Can confirm, when I purchased through techfast I used paypal and transaction went through Allied

          • @harpsoce: Nice that's interesting I wonder why there's 2 different online storefronts though and what separates them? I purchased a 2080 super Allied PC during COVID for a decent price although I wasn't aware of OzB at the time so definitely not the lowest. Was really good whilst I had it and got rid of it for about $250 less than what I paid for at the end of COVID. My mate is still using his to this day and hasn't had any issues.

  • As someone who used to DIY, is it cheaper to buy the whole system here than buy parts?

    • Yes you'll find that to be the case for most if not all gaming PCs posted here by builders.

    • Yeah these guys get it cheaper.

  • Price now 3088 for i9?

    • Use the code

      • +3

I’m a dumbass. Thank you but also now I might have to buy it.

  • Do you still get a tax invoice etc for tax purposes?

    • Yep

  • +1

Confused as to why AP/ZIP not accepted at checkout but advertised as a form of payment

    • +2

The fees associated with those payment methods make it unviable to offer for Ozb deals unfortunately.

  • Are the cpu upgrades worth it in terms of bumping up the fps on aaa games?

  • Ordered the Intel Core i9-14900KF! I'm looking forward to it!

    • Awesome!

  • I am verrrrry close to jumping on that first intel deal with a few upgrades.

What is the storage device used for the backup hard drive? Any chance we can get a second SSD on the board, rather than a HDD?

    • We tend not to offer an additional NVME in case the board has to change. The MSI board does support 2 x NVME and SATA 3 2.5" SSDs as well as HDDs, so the best thing might be to arrange an additional NVMe or 2.5" SSD post purchase through a good deal.

      • Thanks for the reply Luke.

I jumped on the deal and upgraded the RAM to 32gb and SSD to 2TB. Love your work.

        • Awesome thanks

          • @luketechfast: Something tells me you guys will be busy after this post haha
            Great deal, well done.

  • Hey @luketechfast, trying to purchase 14900KF-4080S-FEB package but I keep getting a "Payment Failed" message. Can someone from your team help me out with this? Happy to do it over the phone or some alternative.

    • PMd you

  • hi @luketechfast, Had a issue with the desktop I purchased. I have sent the email Yesterday. Order number - TF4871093941. I understand you must overwhelmed with the amount of queries that you would get. To make this quicker, Is it possible to give a call and I can troubleshoot any steps that you want to me to try. Otherwise for each back & forth email, it takes 2-3 days. I am dependant on my computer a lot. Thanks

    • My understanding is that this one has been resolved for you.

  • Pretty great deal! Ordered the Intel Core i9-14900KF + 4080 Super! Thank you!

    • Thanks!

    • Did you receive your unit yet? How did everything go?

  • great deal just purchased one thank you

    • Thanks!

  • Hi, are you able to ship unassembled, or with the boxes?

    • We've offered in the past but with the volume of systems we're just not setup for it, and if something doesn't work out it's not worth the heartache for all involved, so we don'toffer it unfortunately.

  • How many SSD slots does it have? Thanks.

    • +1

The board has 2 x NVMe slots (one used in the build, one free) and 4 x SATA ports (all free)

  • Is this the full name of the GPU? PNY GeForce RTX 4080 Super Verto OC Triple Fan 16G Graphics Card

I'm getting close to pulling the trigger!!!!!!!!

    • Yep

      • Thanks Luke. If ever, this will be my second order from your shop.

    • What did ye research find in this gpu please mate?

    • @Sleeperagent

  • Do you guys get a confirmation email after you placed an order?

    • Yes - we're working through a tech glitch which has seen them stop sending. Will be back shortly.

  • Hi, I'm really close to pulling the trigger on the 14900kf. I sent an email to sales but haven't received a reply. I was just wondering if I can add any upgrades not listed on the website such as +16gb ram 6000mhz (32gb total) and a 2tb ssd 2nd storage.

I see on an earlier reply you said to "arrange an additional NVMe or 2.5" SSD post purchase through a good deal." Does this mean that you won't be installing these parts for me and I would have to do it myself?

Also how long would these codes last for? Do they expire or is it until you sell out?

    Thanks.

    • Your assumptions are correct, you'd have to buy elsewhere and install yourself. Techfast don't stock higher speed ram either.

  • I'm about to order the Ryzen 7800x3d, just have a question about the Ram:

16GB DDR5 5200MHz RGB RAM (Kingston in use)

What's the CL number for these vs the 32 upgrade version? Trying to decide before I order, thanks so much.

  • +2

@techfast, since I'm still waiting for my i9, 4080 that I ordered on Boxing day for a similar price.
As it's not built yet, am I able to get the 4080 Super, now that the pricing is similar and you have not built my PC yet?

    Thanks.

  • Great price on the 7800x3D Luke!
Can I ask what's a realistic build/shipping time? Looking to get delivered by my bday 27th Feb.

  • Whats the difference between 14700f and 14700k? I wish this was a K.

    • F models = no onboard iGPU
K models = unlocked (can be overclocked)
KF = unlocked with no iGPU

  • are there any other ways to make a payment, it only shows cc on my end :D

  • How long does it take to get shipped within Adelaide?

  • @luketechfast any chance on getting a motherboard upgrade for the 7800x3d build? happy to pay the extra $$, cheers

  • Hi Luke,
Wondering if I can update the case to MSI MAG PANO M100R PZ Micro Tower Gaming Case (BLACK)
for the set of Intel Core i9-14900KF | RTX 4080 Super Gaming PC?

  • Hi Luke,

Still no option to change motherboards on the 7800x3d build like others have mentioned. Could you please add the wifi motherboard option back? Will buy once it's available. Thank you

  • I get that the i9 deal is best as far as savings off the all-parts price but if I only wanted/needed a 7800x3d (i.e. mostly just gaming, no significant productivity work, conscious of higher power draw) does it make sense for me to go that bit higher and get the i9 anyway?

    • If playing at 4k or dare I say 1440p the difference is negligible if playing at 1080p the 7800x3d improves by a fair bit.
There is more reliance on GPU the higher the res you go.
With the 4080 super it's marketed as a 4k card so ultimately if that's what you are playing at. Either is ok.
If you are going to spend on upgrades for the 7800x3d it will probably end up costing more than the 14900kf.

      • What about with regards to hesitancy to commit to the LGA1700 platform at this stage? I'm not inclined to upgrade my CPU very regularly anyway (typing this using an absolutely venerable i5 2500k) but in the interest of potentially getting a few more years before having to do a full platform refresh my eyes naturally draw to the AM5.

And then there's the consideration of the better parts in the 14900k build, if it's <$300 for a comparable (for my purposes) processor but better other parts does the value in those parts add up? Again, just wanting a reasonably meaty gaming PC with good bang-for-buck (relative to the performance tier I'm targeting)

        • I mean this is Top of the line CPU it might last you a good 5 or so years without worrying. But I also understand if you are concerned for upgrade ability.. I just don't think it's too much of an issue with the 14900kf .. you can keep this combo for quite some time

          • @maverickjohn: I was looking at both of these - the 7800 with the x670 upgrade, thinking that maybe the x670 would offer more in the way of a pcie 5.0 option to future proof it, but I am getting lost in the spec sheets.

Can anyone confirm the if either of the motherboards are better form this point of view.
My current ASUS board only had pcie3.0 and then only on the m2 connector and was limited by asus a couple of years ago with their firmware upgrades….

            • @nutz: I think mainstream PCIe 5.0 uptake is still a while away. At the moment turning on PCIE5 for the M.2 slot for most of these boards actually halves the lanes with the GPU PCIe slot (from 16x down to 8x). So you're better off only using your GPU in 5.0 mode.

If you're concerned only about gaming, I don't see much of a point in future proofing for 5.0 right now. It won't give you a significant uplift in performance for another few generations (at least as far as storage performance goes).

The other thing to consider is what resolution you'll be gaming at. If it's anything above 1080p, the CPU will not make a strong difference - you'd want to be putting more money into your GPU. If you play at 1440p, upgrading your CPU in the next 1-2 gens will make a marginal difference. Upgrading your GPU could be huge depending on what nVidia/AMD pull out otheir respective hats.

tl;dr: If you render games above 1080p, the CPU and whether or not you can upgrade it in 1-2 generations does not make that much of a difference - focus on the GPU.

              • @dimitrifdo: So would you say, based on the 2 boards then, that the Gigabyte AX UD z790
is the better board for gaming at high resolution where the GPU matters more? The pcie 16 on that board is 5.0. The 670x amd is only 4.0 on the pcie 16 slot.

ie the next generation of video cards even a couple of years down the track may be more compatible if they are pcie 5.0, albeit the LGA1700 vs AM5 board may not necessarily allow an easier upgrade path for the CPU?

I only ask because I have a crosshair vii and GTx1080ti that is only a few years old, but because of the architecture on that board, it won’t run even pcie 4.0 with the 16 slot. Hence no point in buying a 40xx card and putting it in. For the price of these systems, I may as well just buy the complete system. Once bitten, twice shy.

                • @nutz: Currently there are no GPUs that use the full PCIe 4.0 bandwidth. PCIe 5 GPUs might not even be part of the next gen (for nVIdia that would be the 5XXX series). I don't think you'd see an appreciable performance gain regardless, so you're safe at PCIe 4.0. Even when devices do start to use it I'd image it'd mostly be for storage benefits in commercial environments.

                  For gaming, you're set.

  • Hi, do we have an ETA of when the i9s are going to be shipped?it shoud not be more than 10 bussiness days, but I am anxious to have my new toy ;)

  • I want some advice, should I go for the i7-14700F or the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D. Mostly use it for gaming and a bit of multitasking .

    • Ryzen 7 7800x3d takes the cake, doing so with great power efficiency

  • Any major reasons to upgrade from the stock cooler, to liquid cooled on the 7800X3D?

    • air cooling is more than enough for 7800x3d.

  • i9 is out of stock…it's only been 4 days :(

    • how?

      • says you can't add it to the cart as it's sold out

  • Haven’t done a PC build in a while, so excuse the dumb question:

Later down the line can I upgrade to a 4090 or a 50xx with this build by just swapping out the GPU?

And I guess possibly the PSU?

    • Yeah fairly easily. It will clip in to the same PCI express slot. If unfamiliar with how to access or what it looks like just watch a couple of videos on YouTube or so. It's a 5 minute job at max.

        Thank you

Does anyone have any feedback on recent time frames it took for techfast to ship order from purchase date

    • Ordered 4060 deal on 23rd. They said it should be ready to pickup early this week. But haven't heard back yet (Tuesday night) hopefully tomorrow

  • Great deal, I'm really interested in pulling the trigger on the R7/4080super deal. I have a few questions though.

How long is the sale going for?

If I contacted the company directly, would they be able to tell my what components will be in my particular unit?

And would they be willing to offer this deal on a different case if I were to pay the difference?

  • Purchased and no update since then. It seems like it will take 2-3 weeks for them ship it. I hope I am wrong, sent an email to techfast but no response so far.

  • +1

Purchased the i9 as soon as the deal was posted and just got the order shipped email.

  • @luketechfast Is there a phone number for techfast? The listed number goes to some cruising business lol
Unluckily my PC arrived damaged (TF4875097312) so just awaiting on an email response, but it'd be great to speak to someone quickly about it ;)

    • Any luck getting it resolved?

  • Any chance of the 14900KF deal becoming available again soon, or even a 14900K? Had an old graphics card fail recently and the iGPU from the old CPU came in very handy.

  • Very tempted, my only reservation would be these generic no name PSU's…anyone got any thoughts or anything to add to that? (Positive or negative, no pun intended).

  • I ordered on feb 24 and it even took money out of my account
i confirm the secondary credit card details and still when i email them on tuesday im told to do it again.
Provided the confirmation and the small fee taken out
still no confirmation that my order is being built #TF4881222666

    • Hi Alex, I can confirm we've received the order. It's currently queued along with the many other orders from this deal. The current estimated time from order to shipping is 5 to 10 business days.

  • Coming to this late, but I'm keen on the 7800X3D spec you have here. When attempting to order the website says sold out. Any indication on when stock may come in?

    • Working on more for a March deal

      • Great thanks Luke

  • Is i7-14700F better than 7800X3D, but cheaper?
