    • I just got an email from Samsung saying my order will be dispatched from 5th Feb 2024 now. But from my orders page, it says it has been shipped and I will receive the phone by 2nd Feb.

      No idea what is going on, Samsung warehouse must be on the 420.

  • yeah I can see how people can complain about the screen, it just feels underwhelming in the colour reproduction department

    I tried a variety of setting combinations: eye shield, adaptive tone, vivid vs normal, different white balance options - everything sucks side by side with S22U which just has Natural and Eye shield enabled

    yes brightness is stellar, but colors aren't impressive

  • What's the difference between "4) Shipped" and "5) On the way" ?

    Ordered S24U Grey 256gb on 26/1, says Shipped and "Get it by 02/02/2024".

    Trying to get Chat to give me a tracking ID is painful. All they want to do is call me back!

      shipped means its not shipped, its an internal process. on the way is shipped.

      edit - consider shipped to mean, pre shipping.

    • I understand "shipped" to actually just mean "packed", and "on the way" means it's been dispatched. Not a very clear system they are using lol.

    Poor customer service chat. Not able to elaborate on anything except 7-10 working days from 29th.

    • You get to talk to chat? I went to chat and they asked for a number to call back not even give out any other information. I ordered on 18th around 10pm for S24 U 512GB grey. Same shipping estimation.

    • Ordered 512GB titanium violet on the 19th and same thing. Contacted and stated how it said specifically 'Arrives on 29/01/2024' on my order confirmation and they just said well thats not happening. might have to wait like 3-10 business days until shipping and told me they had no clue when it would ship out.
      Not happy as I took the day off work on Monday so I could sign for the phone (because I was excited), so wasn't very satisfied that it hadn't even shipped out on that date.
      My fold 3 hasn't received One UI 6 either yet and is getting slow as, so really wanting this new one….

      • I don't think Samsung ever said it will be delivered on the 29th or "arrives on 29th". That's a huge claim.

        From memory on the website it stated orders will be shipped from 29th or earlier.

          • @Ryansta: That's up to interpretation, one could read that as the customer getting it on that date or Samsung will receive stock on that date to ship out.

            • @hasher22: Either way, boat has been missed on any interpretation.

              I'm not over concerned, what's another week. I just don't like excuses, I especially don't like it that now that they have their money, there is no customer support to know whats happening. Things like, we dont know, could be 7-10 workings… If you say "Pre-order, receive by x date" don't mess everyone around.

              • @Ryansta: Actually the 'PRE-ORDER' line is above 'Arrives on 29/01 /2024.'

                The 'pre-order' line is your status on your order, not in the same sentence with 'Arrives on 29/01 /2024.'

                And even if it did state 'Pre-order arrives on 29/01/2024', that's more clarity towards the customer not samsung getting the order. But also samsung should have made a disclaimer somewhere or worded it better like "Ships from 29th or earlier^" "^Orders may be delayed due to X Y Z reasons, you will receive an SMS and/or e-mail with the shipping details".

                I have my own little e-commerce shop and I can tell you the amount of people that try to scam and try take your wording is quite high and I have to try make it as clear as possible. I had to change my wording a few times on a few disclaimers so that even babies should be able to understand it because customers tried to take advantage of the wording which all failed to do so anyways. And on the other end of the spectrum, there are customers who are not that bright and no amount of clarity can save them. But the goal is to mitigate damage.

                • @hasher22: I didn't say the date was pre-order. The order I placed was a pre-order. With a stipulated delivery date. They didn't deliver or send the device on the day they said they would. There really isn't any point to discussing it, it's clearly an issue on their part and it's frustrating.

                  Like others, Kristy was kind enough to send an email update stating it's 2 weeks away from being shipped.

                  The annoying part is giving my business to them, had I known their real delivery dates I would have purchased the phone elsewhere.

              @hasher22: Bit deceptive still.
              I also don't think its very normal practice for them to say arrives on "insert date" meaning when they get it, that would almost always mean arrives to the customer on that date.
              Also when ordering on my orders page it said "get it by 29/01/24" which has changed now, but certainly was there closer to the time I ordered

              • @rain32: Yeah I just think the wording should have been more clear to cover both the customer and samsung. I mean, changing it to "ships from 29/01/2024" is way better than "Arrives on 29/01/2024".

                How many people would dispute they didn't get the phone on the 29th when it state "ships from 29/01/2024".

                At least this covers samsung for any product delays as well.

                  • @rain32: I think they have, on the website now where you look at the phone colours for S24 and +, now state: "Ships from 07 Feb 2024" and Ultra now stating "Ships from 14 Feb 2024"

                    The same wording should have been used with pre-orders

        • My s24U titanium green was ordered on the 20th, an is still in "Awaiting dispatch" status.

          The order delivery currently states (via the order status page on the phone app): "Arrives before official release on 29/01/2024".

  • Can anyone confirm exactly how the Afterpay refund works too as I see some people have had them processed now.
    Did they just take the refund off of the remaining payments equally or just drastically reduce the 4th payment?

      Dunno about Afterpay, but my PayPal Pay-in-4 reduced each of the remaining 3 payments each by the total refund value divided by 3.

      512gb titanium black ticked to shipped as well. Ordered on Jan. 20. I can't understand Samsung's system as it seems very random with the dispatches. Some people who ordered on the 18th still have the awaiting dispatch notice.

        • I am a cautious fella and put a case on it as soon as I installed the sim card

          the case is a silicon violet one that I ordered from the free accessories voucher! lol

          I just took the case off to have a second look, and the violet back is nice. maybe I ought to carry it around without the case since I have that care+ because it looks super awesome.

          titanium frame has goldish tint to it, more pronounced than Apple Starlight finish on their recent macbooks, and violet back is deep and dark variant of violet, under certain angle and light it appears more like navy or even black.

          it's awesome

            Sounds like the color is good then also but like yourself I don't trust myself not to break it without a case but I guess that is the reason why people get Samsung care+ isn't it. Maybe I'll have to be ballsy with it too at some point.

          • @shabaka: In recent years I've actually reverted to just having a clear skin on the back of the phone, can get dings and stuff on the sides and front of the phone but at least the back looks good haha, I hate the bulkiness most cases cause
