      • Yes i also got update error on tradein. Still no refund email, or trade in email.

        • Yeah, same here. Been trying to sort this out since yesterday. Spent an hour on the phone just now, but still no luck. If I hear anything back, I'll drop it here. And if you figure something out, give me a shout. I've already logged into https://samsungtradeup.asurion.com.au/ and shot them a message about the missing E-Parcel label.

I'm confused about who handles accessory refunds too. Sometimes they say it's the e-commerce team, and other times they say it's the after-sales team. It's a bit unclear. I'm still trying to figure it out.

        • Did you get any update from Samsung?

    • Are you still waiting on other items?

I received 2 out of 3 items (phone and power bank) on the 30th but not my clear case and I didn't get the refund email of my cancelled buds yet. But I did get the device return email. Check your junk, I got the device return email roughly 5 hours from picking up the phone from the store.

But my clear case was sent today to the store, and my order says "on the way". I assume when I get all the items and my order fully state all items picked up, I will get the accessory refund email. I will update this comment tomorrow when I get my final item.

I really want my phone :( blue gang rise up

    • Ordered Titanium blue 512gb on 19th after 4pm. Got an email from Kristy saying that it will be delivered by 12.2.24 on Tuesday. When I checked today morning, it says shipped and the revised delivery date is 5.2.24 but can't see a tracking number. Hopefully, star track will pickup the package today evening and deliver tomorrow?(Sydney Metro). Eagerly waiting.

      • Wow, good news. we ordered the same 512 blue and 19th around 3pm. but I also ordered a watch and bond. Just check it is still awaiting dispatch.

      • Seems like Samsung could have a flawed order fulfilment system.
Ordered S24U 512GB Blue around 9am Perth time, 19th Jan. Had the same email from Kristy (dispatch from 12 Feb) - order is currently still at "awaiting dispatch". Not sure how they allocate stock to order, if not based on order time/date… IMO, seems to be random… Or could it be based delivery area or destination?

      • Who's this Kristy that keeps getting mentioned?

        • Ill like to know too!

          • +1

@tomeejaiy: Kristy is a lady being tasked to handle team Blue.

            • @kampret: Never contacted me, 512 blue gang, ordered just before midnight on 20/1.

              Still saying 7/2

              • @lethalmoney: Haha, i ordered in 19th afternoon, 512 blue. still saying shipping from 12/02.

  • Just got my titanium blue, has anyone that forgot to tick the samsung care box managed to actually get it after their order?

    • What size, and when did you order?

  • I got mine 2 days ago :) Still havent started using it though….figured I will do a cleanout of the old phone first!

  • Do you setup the new device by using the transfer function from the steps in order to bring the contents from the old phone? Or you setup a new device first then manually do the apps installation?

I often do the manual process but am thinking to try the "transfer" method this time. Some users mentioned that it could bring some old settings etc to the new device which could potential cause the performance and battery issue.

    • +1

The intro of the S24 will prompt you to transfer everything from the Smart Switch app on both phones via wifi or cable.

It will bring some old settings to the new phone but I wouldn't worry about any performance and battery issues, just go back into the settings and change the settings. I think, don't quote me, in the selectable items when you transfer over stuff from your old phone, it may have a 'settings' option, untick it if you don't want your old settings transferred over.

      Edit:
From Samsung, apparently you can deselect 'settings' so old settings won't transfer over: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00047089/

I selected all and called it a day

      • Thank you so much. Please let me know the performance and battery by doing this method. Some users often say the fresh installation is the must.
Secondly, by doing this way, does the apps all remember the login or just installed apps only?

S22 Ultra Titanium Black 512GB, Status changed to on the way, expected delivery 2nd Feb.

    • S24 Ultra Grey 512GB just changed to on the way too and tracking shows in my Auspost account even though haven't received a text from Star track for the tracking. Expected Friday 2nd!

      • Yeah same here finally

      • Order time?

        • 18th 10pm

        • 18 11pm

      • Phone arrived this morning.

        • Refund received into paypal pay in 4 3 hours later.

  • +1

What's the difference between the status change from 'shipped' to 'on the way'? That's basically the same thing lol.

Also I didn't receive courier tracking information, so that makes the status change a bit weird.

    • +1

Shipped probs means a stock allocated to a shipment, On the way means the shipment left the warehouse and tracking number to be updated.

    • +1

      Stupid wording but

'shipped' means the stock is allocated and reserved to your order
'on the way', speaks for itself but you should receive an SMS with a tracking number and this is when your order changes from 'shipped' to 'on the way'

      • Any idea, how long does it takes from 'shipped' to 'on the way'?

        • +1

It depends, everyone is different but

I ordered the phone on the 18th and it went into shipped around 2 to 3 business days before I got the tracking number, I got the phone on the 30th but got the SMS tracking number on the 29th and that's when my order went into "on the way"

My clear case was delayed and it went into shipped on 30th but today it went into on the way as I got the SMS tracking number.

In my case it was 2 business days for both packages

    • Delivered this morning, which matched the day stated on the Samsung order page for the last week (2nd Feb). Glad it wasn't the 12th of Feb like Kristy advised.

Careful though, Startrack dropped this on my doorstep with no signature required.

  • Hehe anyone else still saying awaiting dispatch? I ordered on the 20th

    • Ordered on 19th, 512 blue. still awaiting…

      • Yeah, same here with my blue one. I'll call Kristy tomorrow if there's no update.

    • ordered S24U grey 512gb on 20th noon. changed to 'shipped' a couple days back. still not 'on the way'.

    • Awaiting dispatch now.
Ordered 1TB violet on 20th 11.30pm. Saw it will say it will arrive on 29th Jan change to 'ship from' 29th a few times. Status changed to Shipped on 31st. Today got the tracking from auspost app then sms from startrack. Now a lot of activity in the auspost tracking history… Got samsung automated email with tracking details, hopefully arrives tomorrow.

    • ordered 20th, S24U, Blue 512gb. Awaiting shipping, Start shipping from 07/02/2024

  • Just wanted to give others hope.

I ordered 19/01 in the morning (Titanium Blue 256GB) with some accessories, got the email from Kristy 30/01. New dispatch date in email was 12/02, but also "Get it by 05/02/24 Standard Delivery" when I tracked my order.

Tracked my order just now like I have been several times a day each day (lol), and it has been shipped from Sydney with a Startrack reference. Order changed from 'Shipping' which it had been since Kristy's email to 'On The Way'.

Seems like Samsung got overwhelmed by the pre-orders as others have mentioned but also that they're actively trying to send them out but taking a 'worst case' ETA with people so they don't get even more upset when another earlier date comes and goes.

Very excited and will be hitting that Startrack tracking refresh button every 5 minutes all day tomorrow :D

  • For those not intending to send in their trade-up phone and just cop the fee, may I ask how does it work? Do you just go silent on asurion and not send anything in? Or do you reach out to them and let them know youve had a change of heart and keeping the phone?

First time doing this so its new to me. Id like to hand my old phone to my parents instead.

Also for what its worth, I ordered two blue 256gb, one for myself and another for my brother, on 18th and 19th. Ive recieved my first order yesterday, along with the accessory refunds, and my second order is coming tomorrow. I did recieve an email from the infamous kristy for my order on the 19th.

I think as someone said above, theyre just managing expectations and extending the ETA.

Screen definitely isnt as vivid but its not a deal breaker!

    • +3

You just dodge emails from Asurion like a toxic ex and move on with life.

  • S24U Orange 256GB got marked as on its way this afternoon. Ordered on 19/1

  • I just checked my order again (S24U T.Blue 512GB, order date 19/01). Estimated shipping date is getting worse, from 30/01 to 12/02, and now 27/02/2024.

    • Wtf!!

    • My order for Samsung S24 base model (sapphire blue) 512gb also got changed from 12/02 to 27/02. This is actually outrageous.

"Start shipping from 27/02/2024 Standard Delivery"

      • yup, happened to mine as well; WTF! going to call Kristy and ask for a different color.

        • Can you share her contact ? DM is fine if need be. :) i have a feeling ill get an order update i don't want to see very soon.

          • @lethalmoney: Is Kristy real? Would also appreciate the contact details please.

            • @kinglaiho: Contact Kristy here
              https://form.jotform.com/240286981065866

Ive also emailed asking for compensation

              • @0 0 0: Keep us updated:)

              • @0 0 0: yup, this is what I used as well, failing this, I will talk to their sales chat probably

              • @0 0 0: I have actually gone on chat and requested compensation. They said they will add it to my file and contact me. In the meantime, I have made a complaint to ACCC for misleading shipping times provided at time of sale.

                • +2

@DReg: lmao wtf? psychopath behaviour 🤣🤣

                  • @Clipyy: I think its awesome, well done @DReg let us know how it goes!

                    • @Ryansta: Haha thanks. If like the previous years, a delay for online exclusive colours was advised, I would have been able to choose a different colour. I'm not fussed abt colours as I use a case.

Latest update from them is that the back office team will respond in 7-10 business days.

                      • +1

@DReg: My exact thought, I would not have chosen the colour if it indicated it would not be available with the rest of the colours.
Its a pre-order, I wanted the phone on release day, not whenever Samsung decide they have availability

We had an agreement, I give them money, they provide my order by their designated date. We agreed, they got their money. Now I have nothing.

                        • @Ryansta: Their website is still accepting a new order for S24U Blue with shipping date from 14/02. So, basically I'll have more chance to get the phone sooner if I place a new order than the one that I pre-ordered on 19/01 (with new shipping date 27/02)?

                          • +1

@kampret: I think for new orders (made today), they would probably get delayed further. Possible into March… There are more reports of delays for EU, US and etc. Little delays for India, China and South Korea though. Sadly it seems they just didn't stockpile enough phones to meet the pre-order expectations. Samsung should improve on their delivery and manufacturing. If they cant meet the delivery date, then do not advertise it and send out Kristy's emails… Karen would be much better than Kristy tbh.

                          • @kampret: So i ordered on the 20th and at time of checkout it said delivery from 07/02 and its still sitting on delivery from 07/02. Not sure if its going to change though.

                      • @DReg: I think that's totally fair for you to ask for compensation. Can you impart wisdom as to the words you used for them to comp you?

                        • @Leonart: More on the lines of them charging me on 19th, promising delivery by 29th and now the uncertainty of when exactly they will deliver which beats the purpose of pre ordering earlier. If the exclusive colour takes more time, they need to be upfront in order to make an informed decision. I believe the system should be able to reflect actual dates expected for delivery similar to Apple.

Just an FYI, they haven't got back to me about my request for compensation. So only time will tell whether it was worth requesting for it.

  • Anyone cancelled the trade? I put in something for $1. How much will they charge me if I cancel? Already charged me $1. Website says they can even charge me the discounts I got with the offer. can they do that? I was hoping for $1 + max $60

    • yeah you'll get charged $61

    • Is there an option on the portal to directly cancel? Or is it through support?

      • You need to contact the trade company directly by email or on the trade portal site.

        [email protected]

They take ages to reply. I have been waiting since 23rd for them to cancel a trade in device and refund it.

        Samsung support can not help.

Received S24U 512GB Titanium Grey just now. Timeline below:

ordered 19th Jan midnight with watch 6 and band
order changed to shipped on 30th Jan,Also on 30th Jan around 4:30pm,
received email from Kristy dispatch delayed to 5th Feb
showed its on its way on 1st Jan

1st Jan, Star track tracking number appeared on Aus post App
    2nd Feb Received phone 10.00am

WATCH box came with the seals inside the box. Not fussing about it as the watch looks clean and fine.

    • Took Startrack a month to deliver :O

  • Has anyone ever tried to do an exchange/refund at physical store for an online purchase?

I got the S24 and added a Watch6. I want to exchange the camel band for a black band. Prefer to just do it in store rather than go through the overly inefficient returns process online.

  • Compensation for delay of S24U 512 blue was offered 10% discount voucher for a home appliance purchase.

    • +1

      🤣 ask for a watch 6

      • Samsung:
Please let us know how you'd like to proceed with your order, given that the only available compensation can provide is a discount voucher and not a free accessory.
Would you still want to wait for the order?

    • +3

Given their RRP on home appliances are much higher than buying from places like GG or JB Hifi, the voucher is just "a slap in your face, be quiet and keep waiting for Kristy"…

      • yeah, thats pointless.

      • Who's Kristy

        • +2

          like Muzeeb but Samsung

    • +1

If you have a Samsung product at home, you can always ask them for a 10% discount voucher. You were fooled.

    • Can't they just come back to us and offer if we want to change to another color? I will take this offer.

  • S24U 512gb Titanium Grey ordered 20/1
    Shipped 31/1
On the way 2/2 and shipping info added to Auspost

      • What other accessories do you have? Maybe that might've delayed it?

I cancelled my accessories except for a earbuds case that's in stock.

          • @notaname: That's odd then. Doesn't seem like orders are processed first in first out basis. My order is shipped to Tas, doubt it'd make any difference.

            • +1

@Kibbelhs: Seems to be the case… They seem to be processed at random, not based on initial order date/time.

Samsung Australia needs to get a better stock and order management. Customer service is just hopeless, maybe their AI can do a better job.

  • How long it takes to get refund for item cancelled.

    • According to comments, you'll get it when you've received the phone.

    • I got the email on the delivery day and refund money the next day

    • I got the refund 3 hours after received the phone. Paid by PayPal

    • +1

How do I apply for a refund for my ear buds? I can't find anywhere to initiate the process.

      • F

      • You don't need to apply for refund. If you cancelled the accessories the refund will process after the phone delivered. Normally couple hours later.

        • So do i need to log back into the Samsung education store and cancel the accessories? Where can I find the cancel button?

          • @B13Z: I didn't order from Samsung Educaiton store but from EPP.
I used my desktop PC to cancel (and not the mobile app). I went to the standard samsung website and logged in: https://www.samsung.com/au/
            Click on Orders
There should be a button called "Cancel Order" which will let you select which item(s) you want to cancel.

BTW, this has been discussed in the thread a couple of times. I suggest you go through the entire thread.

phone just turned up today via startrack. Didnt even get an email..lol
status on the web site says on the way

  • Do startrack deliver on Saturday, finally its on the way, says estimated delivery on 5th, titanium blue 512gb, ordered on 18th.

    • hasn't been the case for me, sat all long weekend at the depot, and arrived on Monday

  • Just got my titanium black today after ordering on the 20th. Just waiting for the trade in instructions and the refunds.

  • I am gonna be the only loser who ordered on 18th and will be receiving the accessories next week but phone still not on the way.

  • Any good website to resell this phone for a good price? Or what price you got if you able to resell?

    • +1

Look at your local facebook marketplace, the selling price will differ from area to area. Also which phone are you reselling? S24? S24+? S24 Ultra/

  • Got my titanium blue 256gb. Came extremely quick, posted yesterday and received in WA around 3pm today.

In fact it's come so quick that Auspost never even notified me about it coming today, and it still says it's on the way from Perth Airport. Does anyone know when it's going to update as I have not yet received my refund from the accessories until my item gets marked as delivered.

    • any update on the refund?
