      • Sorry for the late reply, yeah on Monday it updated my tracking as delivered. A few hours later I got the email from Samsung + Afterpay that the amount was refunded from my account.

  • Hey guys,

Strongly considering upgrading to the s24U 256GB from current note 10+.

Just wondering what the lowest price someone has achieved without sending a phone in to trade (as well as cancelling accessories)

    Any info is much appreciated!

    • +1

      Around $1010 + $60 trade in fee

      • Thank you!!! I was testing and this was roughly the estimate!

  • Hey, for those that have received their phones, is anyone's phone really hot after using it for 5 minutes?

Also when you are videoing and going from 3x to 5x zoom does your video jump to focus? like it's not smooth at all, you can really see the change in lens?

    Thanks

    • Yes, feel the same phone getting hot very quick and when charging always gets very hot

  • For those who cancelled accessories and for all their items, how long did it take for you to get the accessory refund email?

    • +3

within 2 hrs after item has been delivered

      • Thanks. Been more than 4 hours and nothing. Maybe cause it's Saturday?

    • How do I apply for a refund for my ear buds? I can't find anywhere to initiate the process.

  • -1

phone got delivered yesterday but samsung app still says on the way and tracking says delayed. do i have to select delivered on Post app for it to be updated as delivered and asessories refund.

also i didnt get a reply paid satchel to send back.

    • +1

I didn't receive a prepaid satchel last time, I had to log into my trade in account and generate the postage label.

    • Same with me, still waiting.

    • You don't get a satchel. You take your email to auspost and they give you a satchel there.

    • you goto post office and pick a box. put in the trade in and bring it to counter and let the Post Officer scan the label. Fully paid for by Samsung.

      • I never got a box at Auspost, just satchel.

        • I think the last time i traded in i just picked a box and brought to counter. Either way, if confused just line up and ask the officer

  • Anyone received email or confirmation for the watch 6 redeem offer through jotform? I still haven't heard from them. Hoping I didn't miss out.
Since I haven't heard anything about my phone (ordered on the 18th) I feel I should at least be getting the watch.
(Edit: yes, aware how entitled that sounds - but Samsung has a lot of money and I have very little. So whatever)

    • No, wait 2-3 months.

      • Any idea if you get an opportunity to change the delivery address? I might be moving in next couple months

    • Same boat except I was going to trade in my Watch 4. Might cancel trade in and wait for the free watch confirmation and sell this somewhere else.

  • Anyone having issues with cme applying to cart… it wont show

    • make sure you already have gone through the trade in process. It only works after you have applied a trade in.

  • Looks like they sent out a bunch late yesterday. Both my friend and I received email late at night that the order's been shipped and picked up by Startrack. ETA Monday.

  • I received the phone. The driver might have forgotten to marked it as delivered. So I have not received the refund for the accessories. Do I need to contact them or just wait?

    • Ask for it to be delivered 😉

      • Same for me. Delivered on Friday but tracking still stuck at "out for delivery, arrives today".

        • -2

same driver? is the guy above your potential.. relative? you do realise the implications of sharing your AusPost delivery experience lol

  • Not sure if anyone else got another reply from Kristy but it does seem like stock is going out based on order date/time

"We have been overwhelmed by the positive response towards the Galaxy S24 Series, with a significant volume being placed on the same day. Orders are reviewed, selected and prepared for dispatch in order of receipt, based on date and time. As a result, our delivery partner is expecting some delays in shipment."

    This hints at further delays…

    • Seems to be more delays depending on country of manufacture from what I read. S24U can be from China, Vietnam, India or South Korea. Not sure where Australian stock is being manufactured… Unsurprisingly those countries are ones with little or no delay in pre-order delivery. Too bad Samsung wont be making a factory here to high labour cost…
Also read that orders are not processed based on order time/date, albeit only on some. Weird - probably just their systems not coping with pre-order volume…

      • Australian stock is from Vietnam

      • None of it seems like stock issues, they keep saying shipping issues based on too many orders at once.

Ridiculous, we pre-ordered 10 days before their first shipping day.

It most likely is stock, but Im also not sure how you sell something you dont have. As a store, they get assigned stock. If you sell 1000's more than expected, surely at some point you need to stop selling to meet customers expectations or mark items out of stock so people move towards items in stock

  • I just received my black s24u 1tb this morning. Ordered on the 20th, invoice said would ship by 7/2 but order status was 'on the way' on the 2/2 afternoon.

I also got my refund and return instructions about 2 hours after delivery.

Hopefully everyone receives their orders and refunds soon :)

    • +1

lucky you.. same order and ship dates, but still awaiting dispatch. I hope 'blue' is worth the wait :)

    • ordered 19/1, got phone 2/2, status changed to delivered 5/2, now 6/2 still waiting email re. refund and trade in

  • Just received notification through aus post that my order is on the way! Ordered S24U 512gb titanium green on 21/1.

  • Mine's coming today.

Anyone knows if Asurion will block you from future trade-ins if you dont send in the said item? (after they charge 30/60)?

  • +1

S24u 512 blue is still awaiting…. ordered on the 19th.

    • Same. Ordered 19th 11.58am 512 Blue.

      • I ordered at 19th 14.55. pm. 😂

    • Also still waiting for blue 512… same order date…

  • +2

Received my Titanium Blue 512GB at 11:30 AM today, ordered on the 18th. Also got a refund email for the accessories.

    • Congrats blue gang. Ill hold the fort

    • First 512GB Blue that Ive seen delivered, thought they didnt exist :)

      • I think there is @ruttager whose had been marked as shipped, get it by 6 Feb… Not sure if he received it.

    • Did you make any contact with Samsung at all while waiting for your phone?

      • Yes I did chat with them when it said on my order that dispatch date was 12.02, I argued with the agent and he said he has asked for expedited shipping, I didn't bother after that but then next day got an email saying it has shipped and delivery date will be 05.02 and it turned up today.

  • Anyone put in their Redemption for watch and heard nothing?

Was one of the first to redeem. Also.

    • No, wait 2-3 months.

      • Damn, I just need confirmation that it's in the pipeline to be sent out.

  • Any more people facing with S24U getting hot while on charge or after few minutes of usage? As menrioned by few users in the coments above? I am receiving soon and just getting worried.

    • +3

my S24U (violet, 256GB) has been in silicon case since day one. never noticed it's hot, maybe the case is that good at dissipating heat? no complaints whatsoever, it's the greatest phone I have ever had (upgraded from S22U, before that I had A53, S21+, Pixel 6a, Pixel 3 and a bunch of useless iPhones god what was I even thinkin, but I still keep some old iPhone 7 running just to get free Apple Music through Shazam once in a while)

      • Thank you for your insight.

  • You guys putting screen protector on S24 Ultra?

    • Tempered glass on first thing I opened mine.

      • Tempered glass will take away the anti reflective feature of the new screens though?

        • Nothing some 1000 grit wet sanding won't fix

      • I'm also planning to use one, can you share which one you went with and fingerprint works fine?

  • Finally got my S24U and I'm upgrading from a 6-7 year old Huawei Mate 9 so this should be a pretty big change.

I find it funny that some games look worse on it because 1080p was the native resolution and now it needs to be upscaled.
The speakers on the S24U are also utter garbage. It's so damn tinny. Enabled Dolby Atmos but still tinny to the point the sibilance hurts my ears. In contrast, my 7 year old phone absolutely blows it away which I find hilarious.
The fingerprint sensor also fails too much after putting on a screen protector, even with touch sensitivity increased. Maybe I need to add more angles of my fingerprint. Not gonna lie, even Huawei's Mate 9's fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone seems like a better implementation since that's where my finger goes when I pick up the phone but that's 7 years of habit talking.

Oh well, I'll just have to focus on the positives. Processing power is definitely better.

    • can't say I share the experience around speakers, find them adequate - but I never had mate 9 so can't compare like for like. coming from S22U there's definitely improvement in this space, but that's not saying much as S22U was truly lacking in this space

fingerprint sensor hasn't failed me at all, even unlocking wet phone while walking around at a pool hasn't been an issue - but I don't have screen protector on

performance is awesome, no doubt there

I think the only thing where I would improve it is weight. titanium is nice but the brick could have been lighter

    • I am using this screen protector and fingerprint sensor works perfectly fine every time. These are tempered glass screen protectors, but pretty thin and flexible, and pretty cheap in terms of cost as you get 3 protectors and a guiding tool to align perfectly.

      https://amzn.asia/d/heoBEJV

    • Totally agree with the speaker. S23U had lot better sound this one sounds so cheap.. the only regret so far.

    • Happy with the speaker, much more presence than my old Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Fingerprint sensor also lightyears better than my old phone, has never failed. Even with oleophobic screen protector on.

  • +1

I would say it's awaiting collection at Wetherill Park, the tracking just came through in the wrong order, which happens a lot with Aus Post. Awaiting collection at Wetherill Park is correct, they have a PO box there and they pick them up. Posted mine yesterday in Sydney and it got there today - also went via about 6 different aus post facilities haha

      • Thanks!

It looks like it's on the (virtual) move again:

I reckon the S25 will be released before I receive my S24. It is still awaiting dispatch

  • +1

Does anyone know whether Samsung will permit a change of phone colour to use available stock rather than keep an existing pre-order in a "awaiting dispatch" status indefinitely? I've heard Samsung greatly underestimated demand for pre-order sales and that there is now a global shortage of some colours. Also, Australia doesn't appear to be high on the restocking list due to our market size.

    • I would be happy to change colours too if it meant I would receive it sooner

  • Damnnn by the time i get this phone, send trade in back, wait for trade in analysis, it'll be about a month of Samsung holding my 400 dollars. Not too happyyyy

    • I think Asurion is the one holding the trade-in security money.

Though Samsung is also holding the pre-order amount from 18-19 Jan, so they would earn some interest off it.

However thinking that I saved $$$ from this deal, I don't mind waiting for abit however the delay is frustrating for sure. Being well informed to expect the phone at a later date when placing the order is so much better than getting emails from Kristy… That just leaves a bad taste in the mouth…

      • Ah yeah I meant asurion but couldn't be bothered typing it. Same same.

I've yet to receive an email from Kristy, so will be interesting to see what happens the next few days.

  • My partner bought U256GB version today. Don't know what was done but final mobile price was $925 when traded in $5 device.

It's bloody good price considering same checkout was showing over $1000 yesterday lol

    • Which colour and EPP or EDU?

      • EDU

    • Don't know what was done

      Invoice will show you

    anyone in the same boat?
should i contact samsung or wait

    • same here!

Please post anything changes for you

      • will do. thanks

    • Same my order was fully picked up on 3rd feb and my order says "picked up" and Monday I called customer service on where is my accessory refund and they said to wait a few more business days for the refund e-mail but nothing.

Edit: Just got off the phone with online sales orders, 7th Feb 3pm. Rep advised refund should come 3-5 business days when all other items are full delivered. But some how I don't believe them… I'll wait up to 7 business days and see if I get it at all.

  • Would love to know of anyone who ordered on 19th or after that, have received the Blue titanium 512gb or it has shipped. TIA

    • I ordered just before midnight on 19th, 512 blue s24u.
Status is still awaiting dispatch, says 'ships from 7/2' (originally said arrives 7/2).

      • Mine is the exact same

        • my issue, is 'ships from' is a pretty generous string. that could mean March.

      • Mine is Start shipping from 12/02/2024

      • Well, could be worse. I ordered on 20th just after midnight and I'm on 27th?!

    • totally the same, still awaiting……

  • With the Samsung Rewards how long does it take for the points to show up once items are delivered?

  • Hi All,

Newbie here with my first ever post. Need your advice please.

I ordered the Samsung Galaxy S24 ultra and buds 2 pro through the employee portal on the app. I was charged $1619.
I aded a trade-in phone for $5 and got the $$350 trade-in bonus. I also stacked up GALAXYAI code along with the default $150 ecosystem bonus for buying the s24 ultra and a $200 CME code (total $805) in discounts.

I feel the 20% disc and the 5% disc (for first order through the app) has not applied correctly. As per my calculation the final cost should have been $1463. I even called samsung about it but they said don't have access to the portal/app so whatever is applied must be right. I proceeded with my order as I didn't want to miss on the discounts (one of the discounts was expiring on the 6th feb).

My invoice shows the phone at $1332.43 and the buds 2 pro at $287.22

No matter how I calculate the maths is not adding up.

Can anyone of you wizards help my fried brain?

    Thanks

    • +1

If you've already paid then you accepted that price. If it wasn't correct then you shouldn't have paid

      • I only paid as the offer was ending yesterday night and the agent wasn't helpful.

    • Your individual price for the buds 2 pro seems high. They're $279.20 on the education store. Did you definitely get EPP pricing?
