IPS is only better if you're looking to get a faster resonse time, for gaming is very good. The viewing angle is also slightly better but then you would go OLED as the difference is marginal on this kind of sizes and curvature between IPS and VA.
If you use the monitor for work, office, internet browsing and watch content then VA is better as it handle better the dark colours, providing more details.
Glad to see USB-C is a fun little $200 premium…
