      • Agree unless other people have different wording

        • +1

Mine says "Get it by 29/01".

          • +1

            @DukeNinja: Ahhh i see….. inconsistent wording used……
I remember when i ordered it said "Ships from: 29 Jan 2024", but in the Order Page after you order it says "Get it by 29/01/24 Standard Delivery"…

      • +2

Maybe because the website stated “get it by 29/1” for many.

        • Just checked my order email and it uses again different language

          Arrives on 29/01/2024

So anyone's guess when it'll arrive.

          • @0 0 0: My email says arrives on 29 Jan but in my Samsung account it says ship from 29 Jan. Currently still sitting as awaiting dispatch.

      • +1

Because it says "Get it by 29/01/24 Standard Delivery" in my order.

      • +3

One it says get it by 29 and second from the past few years I have always received my mobile at least 2-3 days before the first batch delivery date

        • +1

Based on my past experience, packages leave the warehouse around 6pm, so hopefully some of us will get some movement tonight, for the next day delivery tomorrow.

          • +1

@aveeno bb: Nothing today, so let's wait for tomorrow.

    • +2

Calm down. Aus post will notify you when its on the way.

      • My faith in AU post is low ATM. I posted my defective Sonos speaker last Friday. I've watch it go from QLD to NSW to VIC, then overnighted back to Brisbane and is currently back at the post office I dropped it into (not ready for pick up, just there). I'll drop in for a chat this afternoon to see what's happening 😄

      • AusPost Reddit
You see your parcel is on a Trip Around Australia :D
Well i had a item coming like two week ago it was delay due to how many transfer to QLD to NSW TO VIC to QLD to VIC to NSW :)

  • Has anyone got their refund yet for cancelled items?

    • No. Still waiting

    • +3

I have a fully cancelled order and haven't received that either. Nothing to worry about yet.

      • +1

Contacted chat and they said partial refunds come after device delivery, seemed strange but I didn't have time to go back and forth with them

  • Some UK folks have already got theirs.

  • Some of my accessories arrived today from Star Track but not the phone :P

    • Did you get any movement on the samsung website tracker or Star Track tracking?

      • Nothing here

      • +1

Star Track tracking SMS came yesterday and delivered today. A delivery from Samsung SDS is on the way.

        • What how?? Does your order say get it by Monday 29? I ordered mine on launch day, still waiting on the Shipping phase

  • Anyone ordered on 18th with partial cancellation of accessories, any luck with the refund?
I assume it takes 5 business days for refund which is by today 🤔

  • I am ordering via defence email (gov.au). I am not receiving OTP emails from check out page (asurion), entered IMEI numbers of trade in devices, next page the OTP is sent to gov email. Since 5 days, i have spoken with samsung chat, calls, emails. There is no resolution.

The trade up app only gives in store trade in ID's only. Any ideas how to get OTP to defence gov email?

    • +1

Maybe you could order in store? You could ask for same benefits.

Also, I have my EDU account setup on email and just needed the edu email to verify once. Is that something Samsung goct portal allows as well?

      • i cant see that option to add secondary email in gov store. Where did u see in edu store? In my account, i can see primary and billing address, no field to put in email address.

        • Change your primary to other, I dont think it has to be your govt email.Your Samsung account doesn't need to be registered on your govt ID.

    • +1

You may need to work out a second alias for your gov email e.g. Usually there is like a 3 letter code email address plus a fullname email address.

Register again with the gov store with the alternate gov email address, but then link it to a Samsung account that is not your gov email.

The gov email is only required to validate your eligibility and doesn't need to be your samsung account email address.

Still awaiting dispatch, order 19 Jan, so annoying

  • +2

Everyone here saying theres is due 29th of jan, meanwhile mine says shipped from 07/02 sad face

    • Same as mine

    • Mine says 30/01.

    • When did u order?

  • For those who aren't getting the Samsung branded phone cases, what cases have you ordered? I've been a loyal Spigen user but am not too hot on their cases after having corner damage on my S22U from dropping the phone in Spigen cases.

    • +1

Spigen Rugged Armor cases havent let me down on any previous phones so have ordered one of those. Will primarily use a quadlock case when they release sometime mid Feb.

      • My current case is a Rugged Armor (albeit a slimmer design one) which is why I'm reluctant to go with it again given recent poor experience

    • I have been using case and screen protectors from JETech for all my phones for the last few years. Never disappointed me. Fingerprint scanner also works with these screen protectors:

JETech Magnetic Case for Samsung… https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0CPXW9CQF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_s…

      • +2

My OCD doesn't like the case with a large cutout around the lenses…I usually only buy cases with individual cutouts for the maximum protection.

        • They do have camera protectors too for maximum protection. Check their store.

          • @OZBsince2018: but then that will mess up with the picture quality. I personally never use lense protectors.

        • +1

          Yea I'm the same lol
The JETech looks good aside from the camera lens cut out. The slim is appealing but I suspect it won't be as great for protection from drops.

          • @Emblex: I want to show off the titanium grey colour so I got the clear case from Samsung in my order but also ordered this silicon grey one from JeTech as it somewhat matches the colour of the phone also (it also covers the camera lens area): https://www.amazon.com.au/JETech-Samsung-Protection-Protecti…

            Only 2 left though.

            • @descavenger: Thanks, I did see that one too. It's on the list!

            • @descavenger: I tried their silicon cases before. Attract a lot of lint and dust, and quite slippery to grip too. But this one is mentioned as TPU, so might be better than the silicon ones.

      • Will it stick on any metal surface and not fall off , like during driving ?

    • Usually buy Spigen, Ringke, and Supcase. ESR for tablet cases too. I also like card cases from VRS (Verus).

For S24U I bought a cheap Xundd case and a Tongate case which looks similar to Supcase, from Aliexpress.

Spigen cases have become more expensive over the years and not as good value, especially with ones with Magsafe.

ESR cases look good this year. https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0CMCLYT34/ref=sspa_dk_detail_4…

      • ESR cases are good too but thicker and bulkier than the JETech ones the link of which I posted above.

        • How do you know they are thicker and bulkier? Slightly bulkier likely means slightly better protection from drops.

          • +1

@aveeno bb: I've tolerated slightly bulkier designs for the added protection and I think I'm still willing to.
The ESR one looks quite good, I might give it a try. Thanks!

          • +1

@aveeno bb: I bought ESR one for S23U and later bought JETech one for my wife’s S23U. Both provide the same level of protection but ESR one was thicker, may be because of its design. JETech one felt better to hold and grip. May be you can order both and try, and keep whichever you like as you can always return to Amazon within the return window.

            • @OZBsince2018: Good to know thanks. Seems like the trade off between the 2 is slightly bulkier design for additional camera lens protection.

    • +1

Ive used spigen tough armour previously, as a heavy phone dropper can attest to it being rock solid. But its bulky and not the best looking.

Do clear cases tend to offer less protection? Would like to go clear for appearance but they tend to not feel as strong.

      • Most clear cases regardless of brand will "yellow" overtime.

        • +1

Yea that's been my experience too. I usually stick with all black nowadays. But I've gone with the titanium grey and I'm keen to see that colorway so might try a clear case again.

      • Have you considered Mous? I've been using it for my Note20U and it's saved my phone on so many occasions. Would probable get one for my new S24U too.

        • I took a quick look. Seems like they've got slick designs but the lack of camera lens protection and steep price is a bit off putting. Anything in particular you like about them?

          • @Emblex: The fact that I've dropped my note from various heights on various surfaces and it's still undamaged - that's what I like about it and the wooden back on the case ages really well and develops character. I've never had an issue with the lack of extra glass over the camera, ymmv. They're a highly rated case. Or you could look at Dbrand?

            • @Kibbelhs: Forgot about Dbrand. I've never used one myself.
That's fair enough! Can't say I've had the same experience with my spigen case and drops.

    • +1

Been free balling it since Care+

      • +1

        Ballsy

      • Took me 2 months to receive a replacement for my S23U. Fine if you only have wear and tear that you want fixed, but if you have an issue like a drop and broken screen then you're at the mercy of their useless support team.

        • Was this for a refresh? I've been thinking of doing a swap but it sounds like there's no S22U stock… So might be running out of time against my 2 year care +.

          • @Emblex: Order a replacement before your care expires. I won't recommend a refresh if stocks are low

            • @abs898: Yep that's what I'm thinking of doing. Hopefully makes selling a S22U easier even if on net basis (after swap fees) it's a similar outcome.

              • +1

@Emblex: I usually claim my swap fees with Amex and they refund 90% under screen replacement cover.

                • @abs898: that's ace! i don't have an amex… I'll investigate whether my current credit card has any allowances for something like this

          • +1

            @Emblex: For a swap.

        • That's long. I haven't had issues with S10, note 20, s22u.

          Sounds horrible!

    • Always order Spigen Kickstand clear case.

      • I've had kick stands on cases fail over time due to the hinge on the stand weakening. I've been thinking of getting something like a peak design mobile tripod that isn't too big and I can carry it around separately to use when travelling. Would be nice if it can support a tablet as well. Still on the hunt though, hard to justify the cost of the PD tripod.

ESR Magsafe case in frosted black.

I already have the S23 Ultra version so it was an obvious choice.

if i feel like splurging i may buy the Pitaka MagEZ case, they are super thin at 1mm but quite expensive at about $100 aud delivered
      https://www.ipitaka.com/products/magez-case-4-for-samsung-ga…

    • Spigen liquid air

      • I bought a spigen liquid air for regular s24. Previously had spigen thin fit on s22 and was good, but of protection and almost no bulk. Liquid air seems same but better texture.

    • First choice for a case is Spigen Liquid Air, but the Mrs. has called a permanent dibs on it so I have to choose a different case for me.
Caseology Vault was a great case for my S21, but I think they discontinued that design.
Last year I bought Nillkin Frosted Shield for S23 (had used it for a Pixel previously) and it is great! Minimal design but protection where you need. Think I'll be ordering that. This year they've made it MagSafe compatible (unofficially), so that's a bonus.

  • Order on 18 11pm still showing awaiting dispatch but changes to (arrives before official release on 29/01/2024)…before shipping on 29…

    • Yeah same thing happening, shows "arrives before official release on 29/01/2024" before quickly changing back to "Shipping on 29…"

  • Ordered 18th morning, blue s24u and mine doesn't even say 'awaiting dispatch', just processing… Same for anyone else?

    • Hi there, from my past experience when the staus says 'processing', it should turn to 'on the way' before the end of business today.
Mine is still 'awaiting dispatch' for Violet ordered on 19th.

      • +1

Mine has been on “shipped” for the last 2 days, ordered Grey Titanium 256GB on 19th early morning.

  • Ordered 20th Black S24u 1TB and says start shipping from 7/2 :')

  • My order has moved from Awaiting dispatch to Shipped but no tracking details yet. Ordered titanium orange on 19th.

    • Been on Shipped for the last 3-4 days

  • +1

Rumour has it. JBHi-Fi are allowing pickups from tommorow…..

  • I was talking to a Live Chat agent today who mentioned, regardless of whether your Order status is 'Awaiting Dispatch' or 'Shipped', the phones themselves do not leave the warehouse until 29 January 2024 - anybody else receive a different message?

    • Sounds consistent. Tuesday it is!

    • Yes they said the same to me.

But also "Don't worry, there is no guarantee but there is a high possibility that the package might be delivered at the same date of shipment date."

Not sure how there is a high possibility if they are actual shipped on the 29th, yes if they are actually shipped today!

      • Just got tracking so looks like some of us will get by Monday as stated originally.

  • Just live-chatted with Samsung - The advisor says that my order will be dispatched on the 29/1/24 not "Get it by the 29/1/24"
Sad have to wait till next week :(

    • Initially, that's what it said on the order page; not sure how and why orders started to say receive by the 29th.

But then it changed to shipped earlier this week and that got me excited!

      • On my Order confirmation PDF, Email & Order page on Samsung it says "Get it by 29/01/24" Thats why. Very dissapointed

        • +2

Yes they gave us false hope!

          • @ThaiArse: Just got tracking looks like will get on Monday afterall!

        • Sorry I meant the product page says ships from 29th ( or it did until some colours for pushed to 7th).

  • Indian customers have started receiving theirs.

    • Yeah, may be because Samsung is now manufacturing most of their phones in India. My S23Plus was made in India.

      • +1

It has nothing to do with where they are made! More so on the logistics of sending the phones out.

        • But there will be less logistics if it is getting delivered to the same country it is made vs internationally.

          • +1

@CodeXD: The phones are already in the Australia warehouse they just have not been sent out probably to stay within the Samsung official release date!

People in Europe actually received their phones quite early on. It really depends on when the phones gets sent out from the local warehouses/stores.
