Works out to $5.83 per bulb - hard to find an alternative for smart GU10 bulbs that even comes close to this price. Great for those of us who have GU10 light fittings.

I previously bought one of these 6-packs from Costco for around $45 to give a shot. Tuya compatible so I control them with Google home. They've held up well, and so nice not having to get out of bed to get the lights. Some of my other dumb GU10 bulbs are now needing replacement so picked up some more of these.

Recommend using the Tuya app instead of the V-TAC app to set up… then link to Google/Alexa.

Poor quality. 1 never worked out of the box and a second went faulty in 6 months. Looses connection often.

  • For screw in light bulbs I might take the risk , but for light bulbs like these that sit recessed in my ceiling, I feel way less comfortable, way less opportunity to put out a fire if one was too start…

    • What sort of lights are you using that are catching on fire?

Anyway I would have thought LED smart lights would be more efficient and hence less of a fire risk…

Awesome lights, purchased from Costco and never had a single problem. We have 12 around the house and they work without fail with google.
Just purchased two more packs for our hallway.

Thank you for posting, great price.

  • I'm renting and would love to get some of the downloads onto my home assistant. Will these work or do I need some special connections before the downlight fittings?

    • +1

No special connections, as long as the lights are GU10 - standard downlights, they're plug n play. Setup on the Vtac app and then link to Google, easy as, you will be very happy. Dimmable and warmth/colour adjustable.

Just pop one of your existing downlights out of the ceiling and see if they look anything like these with the 2 metal "feet" that twist-lock into the fitting. If yes, you should be able to pop these smart ones in and connect them up via wifi using free Tuya app your phone, nothing additional needed.

I use Google Home but I believe Home Assistant will also integrate with Tuya.

    • Awesome tx I'll grab this then and test it. Yea, I have a few things connected to the Tuya app which is linked to Home assistance.

  • So I checked my downlights and its not GU10 :( Seems its called MR16 (GU5.3)
