                          comparing all the deals between normal site, EDU and Samsung + and taking account Samsung Rewards and Cashrewards, its funny that the normal site offers the best deal

                              I also managed to get trade-in to work, the trick is to add the trade-in when adding the phone to the cart!!

    • On the final day of the offer, Samsung fixed the issue and now Trade-in is working for everyone. Terrible service.

  • Does anybody see these "deals" getting any better? I'm one click away from pulling the trigger, just wondering if historically there's anything else pre-launch or just after that's been Samsung's match.

    For the sake of a few dollars here and there, I'm thinking stuff it, and just ordering via edu portal.

    • Was hoping for more trade in bonus and/or free buds but doubt we will see any other deals this month.

      • I'm on the fence. My trade in nets me either $201 (edu) or $301 (normal store).

        Final price including Buds Pro 2, bonuscare for the 512gb is either $1598.xx (edu) or $1697 (normal). Difference is, normal store will net me just shy of ~17000 rewards points (10x bonus).

        Are the rewards points worth the extra ~$100 if I'm basically going to spend more on another product to cash them in?

          If I recall correctly, 1 point = $0.01 so 17000 points is about 170$.

          If you get that much points, yes, you'd be spending those points on another product in future.

          Yes it would be worth it ie to pick up another pair of buds 2 pro, they're good.

          • @4ksandknives: I ended up using the edu store purchase and it estimated my rewards points out tk be (phone value) of about 147xx! If I get them, bonus.

            Although the prices are higher, I'll likely put it towards a gen 4 ssd for my pc!

  • I have used the Trade in ID and added my order to the cart. Then decided not to proceed with the color that i have chosen. So i deleted the order from the cart. Now when i add the order again i cannot use the Trade in ID provided by Asurion ( It says the Trade in ID already used ) . I checked with Samsung and they asked me to contact Asurion which i did through the given email. But i haven't received any response yet. Any idea how to fix this and proceed with my order with the trade in ID. Appreciate if you can assist. Thanks 😊

      Someone on previous pages posted a solution. Search it.
      If I remember correctly, you have to login to Ausrion portal and delete the ID and regenerate it.

  • I think people who got their phone shipped are ordering stuff with stock, wondering does Samsung need to wait for every item in the order to be in stock to be able to ship them out, or do they ship separately?

    • They are trying to ship everything together this year. Your order will actually show if anything is on backorder. I added a watch that was on backorder, so the order screen actually showed when the order will arrive.

  • Has anyone had any luck with the Samsung Trade In option on the Samsung Education store at all?
    Every time I try and add the Trade ID into the checkout I get a "Sorry, due to an error, trade-in service is unavailable at the moment" error. :(

          Just to make it clear for many the upgrade means you are paying the price of 256gb for 512gb , 512gb for 1Tb. I doesnot automatically upgrade your memory. You choose 512gb or 1Tb and only pay the the price of 256gb or 512gb. I hope it make sense to all. Thank you

      Edu store doesn’t have memory upgrade offer.

      • They also have same offers as tgere normal store only trade value is lower and no cashrewards. But in any situation i have seen it is cheap as compare to others.

        • In a way yes, as prices on Edu store are already lower than normal store, and that makes those as good as free memory upgrade offer.

    Just fair warning, if you order a unique color directly from Samsung, you won't be able cancel your order, in case you made a mistake.

    • Thats right i have gone through this. They charge me $650 staright away for trade and i needed those funds for my bills but they said cancellation is not possible for exclusive online colours.

  • Has anyone had a bad experience with squareup trade from Jbhifi. They are just pain and want my picture with the phone and IMEI no. Visible. I have done three trade with them before never had such issues. This time they just pissed me. Jb is giving good value for trade as compare to samsung but the hassale is zero to none when i traded through Samsung's own portal. Which is more sweet than going through such horrible experience

      Had a hiccup in store.

      Rep wanted me to conclude the sale despite not having the trade in credit for my phone, 900$ and said the 300$ bonus coupon, already processed, would be gone and I'd be left with a larger balance afterwards.

      Lol.

      I said, I'm just waiting for the trade coupon, if I don't get it, I'm not going through the sale and I'd just go through the Samsung portal.

      Went in the next day. Coupon game through, but 300$ GC was burned. After about 5 minutes, manager staff said they'd email the back end to see if they can reissue the 300$ GC.

      Asurion can be a freaking kick in the teeth, but so can normal IT on the back end of entities like jbhifi

  • Is it signature on delivery or they drop off in safe location if nobody home?

    • It says signature required but received a 'Delivered' message in my Auspost app for my address even though there's no one home. A mate went around and picked it up from outside the front door.

  • I had frustrations using wife's edu.au & the system somehow messed up with item S23+ Smart View Wallet Case instead for ULtra (only choice on the page) & need to swap with correct item EF-ZS918CVEGWW.
    Canceling/reordering is too risky as I need the phone ASAP. Now it looks I will lose the bonus that made the case $5.33 from $51.75 :(
    I will be without protective case until I find cheaper solution & try to swap at Samsung store or sell (waste of time on top of many hours with their pathetic system).

  • When running Trade-up app on S8+, it says that I have already used this IMEI for trade-in.

    I never had used for trade-in, but might have used the trade-up app to evaluate my device in the past.

    anyone know how to cancel old trade-in codes?

      Got an email from Samsung Trade Up shortly after delivery. You just need to take in the phone and the label they attach in the email to Auspost. Apparently they'll package it for you

    • I got email 5 mins later. If you haven't, you can manually download it using the initial trade in code email you received

          Traded an s7 no problems ($1 + $200 bonus). I did it off the phone but I don't think that should matter as you have to manually put in the imei anyway.

    Could be worth trying to find users that have sold 50% off voucher codes for the Galaxy line in the past. It would end up being much cheaper to buy it outright, even when compared to this EPP offer.

    eg. 1tb S23 Ultra would be $1324 + cost of code.

        Not sure they'd reject a 64gb model.

    If I ordered a second phone through Samsung and returned it for a refund via their change of mind policy - would I keep the products I ordered through the 2nd $250 voucher?

    If ordered phone from somewhere else you can get samsung care for $124.50 (50%) off according to website. within 30 days of purchase.
    Also samsung care emails go to spam - on my gmail they do. And if you buy from another store and buy samsung care they will email you asking for photo of invoice and photo of front and back of phone, otherwise they may not cover you. - check your spam folders if you get samsung care. ;)

            @Sammyboy: Yes, didn't use bonus care code for free care (no option to add a voucher) but website automatically gave me the 50% off. I think bonuscare code can only be used on the main store when purchasing a phone.

  • Re trade up. The Samsung Tradeup App says "If you don't return your device, you will not receive a refund of the Security Charge". The Security Charge is equal to your estimated trade-in value.

    So for example, if I'm trading in a phone with the value of $800. Samsung will charge me $800 on my card, and if I don't send them the phone, I won't be refunded $800. Am I reading this right?

    • yes… $800 phones will be an s22 ultra/line etc
      if u have the oldest acceptable one like an s7 its only $5… hence ppl are choosing not to send it..
      theres a likelihood of getting charged a $60 admin fee on top as in the t&cs
