        • I always thought Michelin were the best, but even goodyear have some amazing tyres., it probably comes down to the exact model and the car they are being fitted too.

        • The General consensus in the industry is that Pirelli, Michelin and Continental are the big 3 in terms of quality and performance, with Pirelli and Michelin having a slight edge over Continental. Just have a look at what tyres the top European cars come fitted with and you'll have your answer.
Bridgestone is more of a mass market mid tier brand, same goes for Goodyear.

  • Ok just had a look at all available Pirelli tyres for my car/s, 3 or 4 options available for each tyre size but all are saying limited (i.e. can't order unless you call). I wonder if they will 'replenish' this and let you book for some tyres by the time Black Friday comes even if they don't actually have stock? I imagine it will be a very hectic phone line if they don't have this in place

    • the tyres I wanted i had to message using the online chat and they said they can ship it in once ordered. Unsure if they will honour the deal if not in stock

      • +1

They will honour it if it's delayed as long as you ordered on the day. However when I chatted last time the online chat function will NOT work on the day, meaning you have to call if it's limited.

  • I've been driven round the bend while I'm trying to drive my car, if it wasnt for the Bridgestones, we would not have got as far. Cool for CATS..

Can anyone recommend some efficient tyres for a 2014 Skoda fabia rs? Not after performance or anything, it's the wife's car

  • Can I just buy the tyres and install at later date? Tyred just changed 2 years ago that's all, and hardly driven

    • if it's only 2 years old and hardly driven e.g. 60-70% left, no point buying it now.

Just wait until next year or the year after. There will always be another sale.

  • Didn't see it in the T&Cs but anyone know if they don't have it in store and have them shipped into the store, the discount is still applied?

  • Any recommendations Good year EFFICIENTGRIP PERFORMANCE or PIRELLI POWERGY?
    Looking for good mileage.

Good year are coming out to be 492$ for 4 tyres and hopefully Pirelli will come to be around 550$ when 50% sale comes live.

    • +1

      Want to know as well.
Usually buy Michelin Energy Saver which last up to 90,000 kms.

      • went ahead and booked Efficientgrip Performance Goodyear. will give Pirelli tyres a pass.

  • +2

Oops! That page can’t be found.
is it still confirm this deal?

3 DAYS AGO, all Pirelli Tyres show green with stock. Surprisingly
now all of them show as Availability: LIMITED

    • Yeah does anyone know what's the go if it's showing as Limited? Are we able to take up this offer?

      • If not green you cant add them to cart and cant take up the offer… at least online…
When you call Good luck if like last year you wont be able to get through

    • +1

Yeah they getting ready to do the dodgy…
My tyre size wasn't available at either Ballarat store but plenty of Melbourne stores had them Thursday…
      Today all gone.

      • Very dodgy. The one I'm after had 30 in stock according to the rep. But now all gone.

  • +1

Is this applicable for NSW or other state only?

  • Which Pirelli is good all season, city/suburb driving with good durability?

  • -4

    Pirelli are no good

    • Pirelli have some of the best tyres for both motorbikes and cars

      • Average tyres. Poor grip, lots of NVH.

        Pilot sport 4 much better.

        • I've had really good experiences with Pirelli Supercorsa SP V3 on road and track (dry)

I will admit they aren't the best but for the pricing they aren't far off. I use Continental tyres on my car and they aren't cheap at ~$800/tyre and the rear only last about 12,000kms so sometimes alternate with Pirellis when they are on sale.

  • Will this be instore only or online?

My friend has Amex card but instore would be hard as he lives far away to get him to pay?

    • Try calling mycar, I doubt your friend will get someone within the first hour though.

  • +3

I don't see the offer advertsed yet. Not sure if they are goingto have the offer at all

    • humm looks like it is already oz-bargained before the deal…

  • +3

    Offer is live now
    https://www.mycar.com.au/blackfriday

You can book online, by phone or in store on Friday 25 November.

You have to book a fitting between between Monday 5 December and Saturday 17 December 2022 or between Wednesday 4 January and Tuesday 31 January 2023.

  • Yay it's happening! Already got the plans of tyres for my vehicles, hope they don't run out at 6am on Friday lol

  • Offer Tyres must be booked to be fitted on a date between Monday 5 December and Saturday 17 December 2022 or between Wednesday 4 January and Tuesday 31 January 2023. If Offer Tyres are fitted outside of these fitment periods, the full cost of all the tyres in the transaction will be payable.

    • I meant where it just doesn't allow you to book because so many people book it will make stock 'limited' ok the website

  • Says tyres must be fit to manufacturer guidelines. Do you think they will fit 32" tyres to my Triton?

Should I just say it's a LandCruiser it something and just take in the wheels without the car?

    • I’m also hoping they let me bring my wheels in to replace the tyres without the car. Don’t like how they use their torque gun to fit the wheels back onto my car so tightly that I won’t be able to unscrew the lug nuts when needed to without using their torque gun.

  • No mention of the offer again.

  • is there any reason they all showing as 'limited availability' across all the stores i check

    • +2

Yeah they don't want you to actually get the deal and get other tyres instead..
Very similar to Jax last Pirelli deal… offer only available online and can only purchase if store has stock (or online system says they do) and to make matters better only on a Sunday when you couldn't call anyone. Total scam that one.

  • When you book it online, do you have to pay at that time? Is there any way to defer the payment to fitting time but book/reserve it online on Friday?

    • I tried to do online and has to be paid immediately at checkout.

      • Then we will not be able to redeem Amex as it's not valid for blackfriday purchase

        • Book in-store or via phone and pay on a later date might work?

        • Amex is only eligible for in store only. See the previous discussion on how to double dip.

  • +1

    what are "offer tyres" exactly?????

  • +4

Hi all, I went to Bob Jane today. They are aware of the deal from mycar. I explained the tyres I wanted, they have now ordered them in. They will phone me Friday morning, price matching mycar, the only stipulation was I have to pay for them on Friday. I expected this. Thus far, easy experience. See how it goes Friday.

    • That's awesome @Coola32, which Bob Jane was this?

  • Try to call today and no one pick up the phone. Imagine when on Black Friday, should just go to shop directly to get a better luck?

  • +5

all Pirelli tyres for my car is magically gone

    • Same here. They were there a couple days ago.

    • Yep.. now no Pirellis showing in 275/55R20 either.. were a few variants yesterday..

    • Yup, same, my ones I have had open in a tab for the past week have suddenly disappeared.

    • Mine still there for now. Geelong, Waurn ponds. Doing the wife's SUV this year, I did my CC last year and she whined.

  • +1

I went in today and the lady said just come back Friday and all stock should be available. It will come from the warehouse. As long as you come on Friday and book the fitting then you will get 50% off. I will be sourcing if other places will match, they might not have any stock of what i want.

  • Is it live now guys

  • no pirelli tyres for 2019 camry
    strange

    • Yep I can’t find anything for 215/55R17 Pirelli Tyres looks like I might have to go in store

  • Well, all the Pirelli 255/40R20 tyres (which cost $500+ each) that fit my Tiguan and were available on mycar's website 2 days ago have all mysteriously disappeared with only Continental brand tyres shown now that the sale has been announced. Poor game mycar.

I'd downvote this deal if I could based off that behaviour, but having previously upvoted it, the most I can do is revoke it.

    • +1

Same here, the Pirelli for my VW Golf were on the website yesterday, now they dont even appear. Dodgy AF.

  • No option for my car now. Geez

  • -3

so it's only for who are replacing tyres, Can't get $100 off service without tyre offer ?

  • Showed pirelli tyres in yesterday's results, today morning they don't show up on the search results for my car, so surprised.

    • Same with me and I searched a few sizes. They must be updating something…

    • Yep same for the 265/65R18s that I am after.

  • Just like everyone else, my car's Pirelli tyres have disappeared as well.
    235/65R18

  • +1

Jaxtyres will match the price on the day, in-store only.

    https://www.jaxtyres.com.au/promotions/black-friday-cyber-mo…

    • +4

Do they check if Mycar has stocks first?

    • Does the fitting has to be on the day at Jax, or can go to store, lock in the price and book fitting for later?

  • My car's Pirelli tyres size disappeared as well - 215/65R17 (99V)
But 225/65R17(102H) still avaliable, for my understanding, exter width will be fine, right?

the 225 is actually cheaper than the 215, I thought 225 with rating of 102H should be better than 215 99V?

    • +2

Yes there is extra width, but the tyre profile will also be taller ~140mm vs ~146mm, increasing your tyre diameter by 12mm overall, which in turn will gear your car down slightly and throw your speedometer/odometer out unless adjusted.

    • Compare here

  • +5

Well played mycar. Tyres have reappeared but they have increased in price.

    • They seem to have disappeared yet again… Unless it's a local cache issue for me 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • +1

Yup P7 has gone up $20/tyre for my size. Powergy stays the same.

      • It shows P7(P7C2) instead of P7(KS) and P7(AO) before. And the price is $20 more. Don't know the difference between these tires though.

    • You know their garage is never short of a ‘Jack’.

  • If only my car's tyres didn't approach un-roadworthy a couple of months ago…

Last year we got a set of 4 Pirelli Dragon sport in 18" for my wife's car for $496, absolute ripper of a deal.

  • any feedback/reviews on these tyres?

  • +2

Called my local Bob Jane who happily equalled mycar's 50% off deal from their already lower price. Just awaiting delivery of stock and I'll be in for fitment. I'm happy with that 😁

    • do you have to pay for it upfront or just book?

      • Just booked. Obviously YMMV between franchises.

        • +1

Mine refused. As nothing on the website anymore.

          • @s0805: https://www.mycar.com.au/blackfriday Still shows the offer to me. And they have stock of the tyres now.

            • @gao234: I can't find any tyres in website. which store did you select in VIC? I am after 215/55/17

              • +1

@s0805: My size is 205/55/16 and many stores around Werribee, Altona area have the stock.

                • @gao234: yap. Ok I can't find any 215/55/17 around knox area….so Bob not going to match it…

          • @s0805: I just tried too and no dice, said that he was speaking to pirelli rep yesterday about it, and they won't offer the tyres to them at the same price, as they're doing for mycar for the promo, so it's under cost to them.

  • Site is down and my tyres are already suspiciously 'limited stock' onya mycar

  • Site is under system maintenance currently, guess they're preparing for tomorrow.

Also I'm surprised no one's mentioned this, but seems you could get Jax to price match and get an extra $100 cashback? Unless they don't allow you to stack the two offers…

    • 8 This JAX Tyres & Auto Promotion can't be used in-conjunction with any other offer

      • Yea I did see that, but still worth asking them just in case.

  • checked site today and looks like the price had gone up ..centauro P1 before was from $140 now from $219 ….or is just me

  • Hello All,
I'm planing to buy 25550R20 PIRELLI SCORPION ZERO XL 109Y for my CX9 on this black Friday sale.
I have few questions as I never had a Pirelli before,

    1. Will it last for 60,000 KMS atleast?
    2. How long done a new set of Pirelli last?
    3. Have you faced any issues with Pirelli,

    Thank you

  • Is it just me or all the pirelli tyres are gone?
Damn my local bob jane asked to see the prices on the website before they can price match

  • +3

    The site is dead.

  • is this a scam…Pirelli were all listed a couple of days ago, now non listed anywhere for 265/65/17

    • +1

      Just got through the que.
      265/60/18

      Only one set showing.

Previously was 4 different sets from memory.

Got to the cart. No discount applied yet.

So may be an after midnight event still

  • So I can't actually get any stock of Pirelli tyres to come up and get in a loop where it tells me to select a store and then nothing happens. If possible, can someone post a dummies guide to using their website so I am ready once the offer comes online? Currently very confused! Any help appreciated!
