Anyone that currently owns one that can shed some light on the camera quality?

    • +3

      You'll need a torch 😜

Don't have this model, but with most Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco Snapdragon phones, you'll be better off using a GCAM port.

      • Ahhaha.
Yeah I figured, I have a Moto Edge 20 Fusion and the camera is hopeless in low light, Poco x3 NFC before that and was hopeless all round

        • +1

Poco X3 NFC is fantastic with Gcam.

GSM Arena have a photo comparison tool - https://www.gsmarena.com/piccmp.php3?idType=4&idPhone1=11336…

Would like to know too. But the photo quality has improved with every version I've had. Now onto 9, I'm constantly given praises on how good the photos are coming from this thing. Especially in the portrait function. I now use it in place of a dedicated stand alone camera for most uses.

  • Does it have google play ?

    • +1

Should do, I have the RN10 which is excellent.

      • My NFC never seemed to worked :(

        • +3

I couldn't get the NFC working on my Xiaomi device until I changed the 'Secure element position' under the NFC settings.

'HCE wallet' works fine for me now. I've read that it's less secure than using the embedded secure element, but at least it works.

          • @johnn: Thanks for your help. I would give it a try.

  • This or stay on my Redmi Note 9 Pro?

    • Same consideration here, although of late i have had nothing but issues with mine. Black camera, unresponsive, no alerts. Maybe it is time.

    • Same here. I'm happy with my Note 9S but the lack of NFC and barely-acceptable camera is starting to get to me.

Is 4gb Ram enough these days?

    • +1

      8Gb is your safer choice

  • Looks like it doesn't have image stabiliser

  • I plan to get my mum Redmi Note 10 pro. Wonder if this phone is a better option.

If you don't mind MediaTek, the Poco M4 Pro 8gb+256gb for $240.83 is another good deal considering the extra RAM and storage.
I'm still using my Redmi note 8 Pro and the MediaTek has been quite solid, but only upgrading due to the extra storage.

  • Has anyone tried adding the soap holder when buying one?
I don't have prime atm so couldn't actually check if it worked.

    • +1

I have tried and can confirm that it works

  • While I'd prefer Snapdragon over Mediatek (the Poco M4 Pro deal) I'm just not sure 4GB is enough RAM these days (unfortunately). 6GB would have been good (there is a 6GB/128GB variant out there but seems it doesn't have NFC)

  • Is this now Expired?
