Changing from 16GB memory to 32GB memory doesn't increase the price

    • +1

Thanks for pointing that out. All fixed now.

        • -1

          dumb comment

        • +1

The problem with that is they won't honor it due to t&c's. So the person would have to settle for less than they thought they would get or make another payment.

        • -4

          Have another neg

          • -1

            @Jasonio: here's a neg for you

      • +1

damn missed out on that free upgrade 😔

In all seriousness would would it have been honored or nah? I'm aware your margins for the non-upgraded variants are quite thin.

  • +3

Honestly thats a pretty beasty PC for that price

  • Dang Luke and Techfast team, this is a great price. Yes 4000 series around the corner and AMD launched 7000 series but realistically this is available now and for the price it won't be huge disappointment even after 4000 series launches

  • Legit question op, can you order a prebuilt one minus some parts like ram and storage and save money? :)

    • +1

      HI ozchobie,
Unfortunately, we are not able to remove parts from the pre build.
      Cheers, Caleb

  • +1

Have asked this a few times OP, but never got a response. How about a build with a plain/utilitarian/less-garish case.

    • +1

      Hi phrino,
Just reached out to you via DM.

      • Yep agreed!
EDIT: How is the Auros Elite an extra $149??? If you are changing any of the parts it looks like it totally kills this deal, plus you are saying that it is recommended!

        • I am really outdated in computer building right now but am I correct to say it's a great bargain if only using the base deal? If any add on its not worth it?
I am thinking to add more ram and window home or pro but not too sure yet…

      • I'm thinking the same

    Hi Luke,

What are the upgrade capabilities of this built. In case in the future I want to upgrade my processor will this board be able to handle it? Say next gen i7 when it get released.

    • +2

You would need a new motherboard to upgrade to a next gen CPU. AMD is using a new socket for next gen CPUs.

Also, you obviously won’t be able to use this motherboard with an i7. Intel and AMD CPUs have different motherboards. i7 is Intel which won’t be compatible with AMD motherboard.

    • +2

This is AMD CPU, Zen 3 in particular. And sadly this motherboard only handle AM4 (Zen 2,2+ and 3), if you upgrade to Zen 4 then it's a new socket (AM5). You need a new RAM for it too (the ram in this built is DDR4, AM5 only compatible with DDR5 now). And next gen i7 I guess you mean Intel, obviously you need to change mainboard since it's completely different.

    • Ok thanks guys

  • Can we get some higher end builds plz

  • +1

Bought the cheap GTX1060 gaming PC from Techfast back in 2018 and has been running flawlessly with zero issues.

  • can i buy this without the gpu?

  • Okay so I'm new to this. Why is the price so much higher when I go to the deal?
Is there a coupon or promo code that needs to be keyed in?

    • +2

There is a code at the top of this deal.

      5600-3070-SEPTEMBER

    • +1

      Hi Bonta Kun,
You will need to use this code 5600-3070-SEPTEMBER at the checkout to receive the discount.
      Thanks.

      • Beat you by 19 seconds lol
Seriously though, that's a fast response.

If you're thinking of getting Windows with this build, don't.

Just get it from a place like Umart, which has the OEM Windows 11 Pro on DVD disc for $179 https://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/redirect.cgi?name=UMart…

So you can get a Pro version for the price of a Home version from this deal (but it's worth ringing Umart beforehand, to see if they sell them separately).

    • You would need to buy a disc drive separately?

      • Good question.

I think you can download the Windows files to a USB memory stick from the website, and install using USB.

Activation would be identical, as you'd use the same activation code.

But I'm not 100% sure about that. Maybe someone else can clarify.

  • hey Luke

just wanted to know the estimated dispatch and delivery times to Melbourne

  • Hi there,
These systems are advertised with an estimated 7-10 business day lead time before dispatch.
Shipping times to Melbourne are currently around 3-5 business days for parcel post and 2-3 for express.

    Cheers,
    Caleb

  • Newbie question. Does this come with Windows 10 home? Otherwise how do we install games on it?

    • Hi dofdaus,
These systems come with Windows 11 home preinstalled but not activated. You will still be able to install games on an inactivated version of Windows.
      Cheers, Caleb

      • Never bought a PC build before only ever buy laptops, how does inactivated Windows work? Do we ever need to pay the Windows activation licence or can we just use it for games/web browsing without any issues?

        • +1

You never really need to purchase the activation, the pc will operate without issue for gaming and web browsing. It will however have a splash message on the bottom right of your screen asking you to activate windows and this will not go away until you do so. You also will not have access to some of the customisation settings for Windows themes and taskbar colors etc.
          Cheers,
          Caleb

  • Hello, new to buying pc and planning to purchase a pc from techfast for gaming. Would you recommend the 120 mm AIO or the 240mm? Also does it matter if I do not purchase the windows activation? thanks.

  • Hey Luke - is it possible to upgrade to an R5 5600X processor for this build?

  • hello, is adding the USB wifi adaptor necessary if I use wifi?
Sorry I am very unknowledgeable and don't really understand!

    • Hi Sakuraa,
You will need to add the USB WiFi dongle to use Wifi on your system.
      Cheers, Caleb

      • alright, thank you!
I was also wondering what the difference is between the two $39 and $69 ones, and if it was possible to buy this with a different case?

  • can I get a 5800x3d instead of 5600 with this build?

  • Hi, can I ask what kind of psu is used in these kind of build? Is 650 bronze saying it could be any 650w power with bronze rating - depends on your stock?

    • Hi Tleaves,
That's right. We advertise the specification of the product and the brand/model will vary depending on our stock.
      Cheers, Caleb

  • Hi, very interested but do you guys have any alternative cases? Cheers!

    • Hi Chunzenayo,
Please message our sales team at [email protected] and they will be able to provide you with information on alternative cases.

  • Hi no option for air cooler for CPU.

Also can I pick which gpu model I get?

    Thanks

Any new builds from @techfast? One of my mates needs a PC in the next few months so keeping an eye out for the sweet sweet deals. My PC is a techfast and their support was great so going to pass on the techfast love to my mate.

  • Hey team,

Very interested in this PC but I don't believe in the future I can upgrade CPU without updating mobo. Current reason why I'm wanting to buy brand new and don't want to run into the same issues. Is it possible to upgrade mobo to a board that will support the newer boards and ddr5?

    • @techfast

    • You won’t be able to just swap the motherboard for the new AMD chips. You could however stick a 5800X3D in.

You will need a new CPU, motherboard and DDR5 RAM for Zen4.
