  • How quickly will 40 series builds be available once those cards are released?

    • +1

I think they would largely depend on the yield of manufacturing from Nvidia. I believe they're sourcing their chips from TSMC, in the 4nm platform.

      • Its 4N, which is an optimised 5nm process. The yeilds on 5nm have been good. So unlike 30 series, expect good stock on 40series at launch or atleast within couple of months.

  • if I buy this PC, take the 3080ti out, I wonder how much I can sell the rest from ?? :)

    • +5

I mean you're not wrong in the hodl if you can, but you're wrong on the neg.

    • +5

Your negative vote is wrong, but your point is not.

This is a deal as at the time it is posted.

Crypto crash and the increase in supply into the 2nd hand GPU market caused Nvidia's revenue to drop 20% in Q2.

      • I linked a better deal below since I can't edit it in.

    • +1

I wonder which part of what he said made him got negative points? Just asking to learn for my future comments.

Not being his lawyer but I am just checking what he said:

      • 1 month before new ryzen CPUs: that's correct. AMD will have event on 15 September to introduce new CPUs
      • 2 months before new GPUs: that's have high chance of happening as nVidia was originally planning to release new GPUs in September but they delayed the release
      • 3080ti prices are going down almost every week. We see this here on OzBargain
      • The time bombs ticking for retailers and AIB partners and they all know it: Yeah it is normal process. They need to reduce existing stocks as much as possible before the new device releases.

All these are correct. Is it how he word it?

It's not a valid neg. No issues with the product or seller, and they haven't said it's cheaper elsewhere. It's just 'a bad time to buy' which isn't a reason to neg. It's a valid point, but not a valid neg.

        • The individual parts aren't worth it, I've already linked a list above using similar parts that aren't even from deals with no gpu. There's a 3080ti deal every day in the 1400-1500 range. With the techfast system it'll at best be same price but techfast prebuilts typically take 2 weeks to ship out. The parts, especially the gpu, will be worth even less by the time that arrives.

      • According to the rules of the site:

A valid positive vote is "I like this deal".
A valid negative vote is one of the following: "This deal is not the cheapest available", "Issue with the product", "Issue with the seller".

      • +1

As indicated already his negative vote is not justified, which is why others are negging his comment which BTW is how you can get a negative vote revoked.

I too agree with his point, wait if you can, but that doesn’t make this a bad deal, because individual parts cost (as per PC part picker) is more than the total cost of this build, meaning if you want this exact spec today this is probably the best deal out there.

  • No brainer to tick the $49 240mm AIO upgrade on a machine you're forking out this much for

    • +2

I'd nearly always take air-cooled. I've had my dh14 since my 4th gen Intel. It's essentially never going to break and it's quiet as a mouse.

Unless you're in a thermally constrained case, there isn't much of a point to aio.

      • +1

Agreed on air-cooling, but this one comes with a 120mm AIO as standard, and most people buying pre-builts aren't capable of changing the CPU cooler themselves

        • +2

Ohhh as in it's aio anyway. Gotcha! Yeah good point. Half ignore what I said haha.

      • +1

        Noctua are the best….and ugliest.

  • +2

Can get a very similar build in spec and price with a 3080ti TUF and air cooler from BPC.

Here hoping for actual release dates from AMD and Nvidia for new tech to help drive these prices lower

250 dollars cheaper when specced out with a cpu cooler upgrade. Similar specs otherwise.

You can also upgrade to a 12600k with 240mm aio, better cpu+cooler for the same price as this deal.

Edit: also comes with 2 years warranty vs 1 year warranty. Can also be upgraded to 13th gen in the future (if you wanted/needed) without a motherboard swap compared to am4 which is a dead end platform.

    • Agreed much better deal from BPC and also better parts in general

    • Did you buy that one?

  • Hey Luke,

Can you redo this deal for August or something similar 😀 possible with WiFi and Bluetooth.

    Gaming PC: i5-11400F, RTX 3070, B560M MB, 16GB 3200MHZ RAM, 500GB M.2 SSD, 650W Bronze PSU $1388 https://ozb.me/o/2zlu?u=em

  • +1

$1599 by the end of the year

  • First time here, the deal price was not GST inclusive for some reason? Or just because I'm new and don't know about it

    • The price has been raised on the site and this post wasnt updated. It would be more expensive if the above price was not including gst, also advertising without gst is misleading for a consumer facing business.

  • is it better to send the gpu separately ? Im hopeless with computers.

  • Just an FYI for anyone interested - I purchased one of these. Upgraded the AIO cooler, doubled the ram, added an additional 1TB SSD and 2TB HDD - came to just under $3k delivered.
I ordered it 4pm yesterday and at 2pm today Auspost let me know that it was at the Adelaide airport. Unbelievable. Hats off to you.

  • Wonder if luke will do a final deal before the 4000 series is out
