No iGPU and small battery, which means very poor battery life.

    Do note that there is no integrated GPU in this model so battery life will probably be very bad.

      Wow, thanks. Did not know that.

    Yeah if I m not wrong and remember watching one of Jerrod's video, he doesn't recommend 7435HS cpu.

  • Would this laptop be ok for running MS flight Sim? It has the rtx4060 which I thought was good, but it appears it has no integrated GPU (whatever that means). Tia

    • +2

      It wouldn't be ideal, flight sim is quite single core CPU intensive and will probably be limiting factor. No integrated only affects battery life. If possible I would aim for maybe Intel CPU or newer AMD (7840hs/7640HS and 8645HS/8845HS). 7435HS is a rebranded 6800H which is 3 years old now. Other games GPU would usually be limiting factor.

    Yeah, have been eyeing this for the past couple weeks. Lack of integrated graphics and the subsequent battery performance is the only thing stopping me as I'll be using it for non-gaming tasks as well.

    Good deal otherwise with the 4060 for those who game hooked up to power usually.

    Similar laptop with newer Ryzen™ 7 8845HS CPU $1,599.00

      Nice catch, website says 4050 but is actually 4060 when selected.
      Cashrewards has 13% today as well for lenovo store.

        This is 16G ram vs 24 G ram offered by centre com

      • Yep - 4050 is $200 less once you click through on the Lenovo website.
        24GB RAM is a bonus but hard to upgrade (2x12).

        • +2

          24Gb is a super weird config to have, unless you can allocate system memory to the GPU which I don't think you can.

          This is like one of those spare parts laptops that get put together from components left over from previous manufacturing runs of other laptops, returns & DOAs.

      Full comparison Lenovo 15APH9 vs. CentreCom:
      * Ryzen 7 8845HS vs. Ryzen 7 7435HS
      * 16GB DDR5-5600MT/s vs. 24GB (2x 12GB) DDR5-4800
      * 1 TB SSD vs. 512GB SSD
      * WQHD (2560 x 1440) 350 nits 165Hz vs. FHD (1920x1080) 300nits 144Hz
      * 230W vs. 170W AC adapter
      * $1,599 vs. $1,399

      i.e. Direct from Lenovo has a better CPU, larger SSD and better display but less RAM. With 13% Cashrewards it works out slightly cheaper.
      If the 16GB is a single stick then upgrade to 32GB will cost about $50.

        I believe they have 2x 8gb and cashrewards excludes gst so about $1410 after, yes much better deal.

      • I have Ryzen 7 7435HS 1TB model and while the screen is great and CPU is no slouch, I would have gone with the 1440p display and better CPU if it was available.

      • Holding for the 15% but they can jack the price still.

    • Cheers for this! Just bought it

  • Not a great price for a LOQ without an iGPU and old CPU. Better to buy another model from Lenovo using cashback offers, email discount etc
