I thought they usually make you keep the disc in when you do the PS4>PS5 upgrade… That's how it's worked with previous titles anyway.

Realistically the ps4 copy should be worth more for this reason

You need to download the entire PS5 version if you buy the PS4 disc (rather than just patches) so the extra $4 might be worth it if you’re on a slow internet connection?

Those 'top reviews from Australia' are terrifying. Those countless issues are fixed? People inside n the Amazon link saying it's literally unplayable. I don't know personally.
I played it on PS5 at launch, and honestly it feels like a b grade game. I just don't understand the people who say it's a simulator, it literally feels like you are sailing a boat on a track sometimes. The graphics are 95% incredible, and 5% terrible when you notice the grass/outside of track textures. Then there is all the ceremony around a horrendous game interface that makes it feel like all the testers comments were ignored over design choices. And lets be real here, what races in the world exist that always start you as last behind 2-3 km's of slower cars in front of you.

First party ones are the best ones though TBF. It depends how you value this. For me personally I paid $109 for Returnal and got my monies worth. But paid $40 for Horizon but have yet to get my monies worth.
Ouch, and here we are with Returnal on the ps plus extra subscription. I think I paid an extra $30 for a year of ps plus extra.

Yeah, but I got it for $79 at BigW on launch in mid Feb. If the only reason you didn't get it six months ago was because it was too expensive then $15 isn't really a huge discount considering where it will probably end up.
I can imagine these being $49-$59 in Black Friday sales.

What a true sequel should be, whatever the first game’s done, this one does it 100% better. Full PS5 controller support just further elevates true experience. My only recommendation is that if you are aiming the get the most out of this game, do try all the side quests and play it on "hard" as normal can be a bit too easy if you level up too quickly.
If i haven't played the original horizon is the game still worth buying and jumping right in?

Different levels of production, that won't happen for a very very long time. GT Sport was an interim title, it wasn't great. If you can wait another year or two then yeah.
I'm interested for GT7, but I have a backlog of like 3 or 4 games I'm already playing at the moment at the same time so if I purchase, this will just sit in the cupboard, If Amazon and JB have put this to $69 already then it will go back down to $69 again or maybe even $59 in the near future. I will wait.
